Or will the killer, who has pulled off a nearly Pit Perfect murder, expose her to keep Lily and her dog from digging up the truth?
Fall in love with Lily Mason, the shifter who only wants to live as a human, and her pit bull Smooshie, a rescue dog who in the end may be the one doing the rescuing!

Awwww, Smooshie is adorable, Parker is crazy handsome, and Lily is a smart gal which is nice. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I love these characters, and I can’t wait to return to Moonrise for more adventures. I would read the phone book if Renee George wrote it!
Great read, great mystery, and I want a puppy like Smooshie!
This is a fun and exciting paranormal mystery. Lily and Parker have so much chemistry.
I loved it! It was entertaining and intriguing. I’ll be honest. The adorable dog aspect brought me to the book, but the great characters and mystery really hooked me. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
A cute little cozy mystery
I love this book. The mystery is intense and keeps you engaged and thinking until the very end. Plus who doesn’t love a pitti, long last family, friends and maybe a love meant to be. I hope Lily finds out who knows her secret and I really hope she finds out that fated mates can be human. I’m looking forward to reading the next book and seeing what happens next.
Renee George is so funny. Her books always have me in stitches and I just love the way her mind works.
Smooshie is the best sidekick ever! Loved this book, and I can’t wait to read the next one.
I loved this story, a great set of characters and a great way to include dogs. A different take on the shifter genre, a fresh and easy book to read I highly recommend this book. It is fun to read, a great mystery and touch of romance to boot.
This book had me from the start. It is filled with all kinds of mysteries for me to figure out. Lily just wants to blend in with everyone else in her new town after the murder of her parents and brother. Unfortunately mishaps seem to follow Lily stick with Lily like a bad cold. I enjoyed the way Lily’s mind works and look forward to other stories by this author in this series.
Pit perfect Murder
This is the first book I have read from Renee George. Overall I liked Pit Perfect Murder. It had lots of murders and mystery throughtout the book the only thing I wanted more of was Paranormal aspect of the story. I will most definitely read the second book in this series.
Pit Perfect Murder was exactly what I want from a cozy mystery – murder, lots of suspects, and quirky town. There was enough of a hint of romance to keep me happy. The only element this book that was lacking was the paranormal – the author gives us lots of fun information and glimpses into the shifter world that Lily comes from, but nothing else really happens in a paranormal sense as she acclimates to living among humans.
I enjoyed the book. The characters were fun and the plot was very fast-paced as we basically were taken along for the investigation!
Pit Perfect Murder is a cute cozy mystery with a paranormal twist. I love Smooshie the pit bull rescue who brings comfort to our main character Lily Mason. Lily has her own secrets and is trying to find her place in the human world. She finds herself in Moonrise, Missouri to start a new life and get to know her only living family member. Lily is not the only one with secrets in this town. After discovering a body in the backyard, soon all the town secrets will come out but will the murderer be found before they have a chance to murder again.
Overall, I really enjoyed Pit Perfect Murder by Renee George. I thought Lily was the perfect mix of grit/determination and effervescent personality. Having Smooshy the dog also was a cute touch. The murder and mystery plot was very well done and kept me guessing. The only thing I wanted more of was maybe some shifting and magic. I understand why we hardly get to see Lily in her cougar form, but if it wasn’t for her great hearing and nose I would have forgotten she was a shifter at some points.
I’ll be getting the rest of them! So good!
Rescue dogs, dead bodies, lots of secrets, and a romance on the horizon. What could be more fun?
You can never go wrong with Renee George! Fun read with a who done it vibe plus some paranormal.
Cougar shifter/ witch, Lily moves to a small town just wanting to get a job, a house, and to fit in with humans. One day, she is saved from a fast moving car by a pit bull, named Smooshie she soon afterward rescues. Smooshie finds one of the church and town leaders dead, so Lily tries to solve the crime.
I really loved this. It was a laugh out loud murder mystery! I hadnt read them before when she released them so I am super exciting to be part of it now! I’ve read some of her other series and although its the same flow its just different and the same RG I know and love!
Cougar-shifter Lily has been through some major heartache in her life. She’s had a lot of family loss and she just keeps plugging along. She wants a new start in a new town and although she’s just passing through Moonrise, Missouri a sequence of events have her staying for a bit. Can she solve the murder that the bumbling law enforcement can’t? Then she’s gotta fight her attraction to a certain Parker Knowles who runs a shelter to save Pit Bulls. Whats a girl to do?
