No matter how she tries, somehow Lily always manages to get involved when there’s a murder. This time though, it’s personal….her uncle has been arrested for murder. Will Lily be able to prove he didn’t do it? It’ll take all her wits…and the help of some friends to do so. Especially since the sheriff doesn’t want her interfering….or possibly uncovering things he wants to keep hidden.
Love this series so hard.
Another great addition to the series. With Smooshie, Lily, Elvis, and Parker are back to there usual shenanigans that leads them on a epic adventure around Moonrise. This fast-paced read is filled with plenty of laugh out loud moments, suspense, action, and so much more to keep you hook from beginning to end. So looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Lily Mason, a werecougar shifter, is living in the human town of Moonrise, Missouri. Her life was finally going really well until her Uncle Buzz is accused of murdering a prominent citizen whose body is found in the parking lot of Buzz’s cafe. It’s going to take the efforts of Lily and her pit bull helper, Smooshie, to investigate this one and solve the mystery of who is really responsible – because Uncle Buzz is definitely not a murderer! Lily juggles her investigation while also preparing for an open house at the Moonrise Pit Bull Rescue which is finally ready to accept rescue animals after Parker’s hard work in getting the new shelter constructed.
Join Lily and her canine helpers in this newest, adorable adventure! There are tons of laughs, and of course hard work, as the team tracks down the felon! The story line quickly captures the reader’s attention and provides a well-paced murder mystery to be solved – this one even more personal to Lily since Uncle Buzz must depend on her skills! Join Lily and Smooshie hot on the trail of the killer! Trust me, you’ll be hooked on this series in no time at all!
Smooshie and Elvis are back with their human caretakers, Lily and Parker for another rollicking adventure. Lily’s nose for trouble gets quite a workout tracking s killer to save her wrongfully arrested Uncle Buzz.
Well worth reading!
Lily had a knack for being involved in difficult and dangerous situations and this time there’s no doubts she would do it again. With uncle Buzz her only relative, accused of murder, Lily Mason would move Heaven and Earth to prove his innocence. Liked the characters involvement in the Pit Bull Rescue program, the cute Smooshie, the plot development with interesting situations and amusing characters, the interaction between the main characters and the mystery that kept me intrigued until the end. Good and entertaining book that I enjoyed.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book !
Lily is having a good year.
Her relationship with Parker is growing stronger every day.
It is even better, because Parker knows about Lily being a shifter.
However, as always, Lily could not stay away from a good mystery.
This time, however, is personal.
Her uncle Buzz is accused of murder.
No fear !
Lily and Smooshie are here.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Pit & Miss Murder is an adorable cozy mystery that even cat lovers will love. Lily, Parker, Smooshie and Elvis are back and up to their eyeballs in various shenanigans happening around Moonrise. This is a fast paced romp that had me giggling like a 12 year old on sugar. I adore this series.
Lily and Smooshie are my favorite characters. Any story starring them is a real winner.
Renee George keeps this series fresh by giving the readers new adventures following our favorite cougar and pit bull duo. Let not forget the handsome hunk Parker.
Lily just can’t help solving murders and somehow getting her friends involved in the cases.
I read and view this book because it will have you laughing and smiling while reading. Reviews are posted without obligation to the author because this book deserves to be shared.
One of my favorite Cozy Mystery series. I love the furbabies and the rescue themes. Throughout the story, the author teaches the reader about caring for pups and how much is involved in the rescue process.
Now about the story and characters: Lily is a cougar-shifter in a human town. Not many know about her other side. Her uncle hasn’t even told his love, Lily’s bestie. Lily is good at finding dead people. Yep, seems she often gets involved in murders and finding the guilty. This one is the most important case. Her uncle is being charged.
The characters are old friends of the series reader, although, the author does a great job of explaining who the characters are and their relationships. Would Lily save her uncle and keep safe herself? The sweet dogs play major roles. There is humor, emotions stretched, and a mystery hard to solve.
I enjoyed this one and can’t wait for the next.
Paranormal Cozy Mystery
This book is more about the cozy mystery and Pit Bull dogs than about the paranormal elements. This story has many moving pieces. I wasn’t even able to put together a near-miss guess before the reveal. This book has a plot that stands alone quite well, but the back-story is well worth reading this series in order. The author puts together a riveting tale that you don’t want to put down. Her writing is so smooth that the story moves quickly. I have fallen in love with this series and have bought them all! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries with a slightly paranormal bent and a touch of romance. I am so glad that I bought this book. I am keeping it to read the series over again!
Another great and entertaining book with my 2nd favorite pittie – Smooshie! 1st being my own pittie – Taco =) Lily n Parkers’ relationship is coming along nicely and glad to see Buzz make the jump with Nadine not the best way to do it but BAM it’s done and in a big way! Lily should thin about becoming a PI seeing as she’s doing it naturally…unintentionally but hey isn’t that how the best of them start out??? Wouldn’t that be cool if there was another shifter hiding in plain sight in Moonrise?!?!?!!! Did I mention I love this series? OK I just did! =D
So sad, I have no more books in this series to read. Lily, a cougar shifter moved to Moonrise, Missouri a while back to be near her only surviving relative, Uncle (cousin) Buzz. Moonrise is an all human town, but Lily has adapted and is putting down roots. Everything is going great until there is a murder and Uncle Buzz is the number one suspect. Did I mention the sheriff does not like Lily, and isn’t very good on solving his cases either. Lily, Smooshie and the gang must do whatever they can to find the killer before Uncle Buzz is sent to the slammer. There is romance, murder, some paranormal, lots of laughs, and plenty more. I would give the books in this series more than a five star if that was possible. Miss George has a way with words and the while ready the story, you actually feel like you know everyone. I did receive an ARC copy from the author, and am leaving a review because I want to.
Love this series so far. Well Buzz was the unlucky one this time. Lily got into some trouble and her and Parker are getting along. Lots of suspense in this book. It’s not like some boogey man books I’ve read. I really got into these books with a real story behind them.
Smooshie is the smooshiest live bug ever, and a great ambassador for the bully breeds. Lily wisely uses this to her advantage whenever the two are out together. Hopefully this will bring more folks to the open house for their new shelter, and more donations of time and products.
A tangled mess of money schemes backfired on the perpetrators as family of some of those affected seek revenge. Small town vengeance is not only lethal. It’s personal!
Another exciting adventure for Smooshie’s people!
Smooshie fan for life!! Not only do I love Smooshie, I love how real Renee George makes her. You get the lovable dog and the smack you in the face, gagging parts of loving a dog. The book isn’t just about Smooshie, it is a fun mystery with lots of hoots and hollers. I think that Lily was the best version of herself in this book. Parker was loving and supportive as ever. He needs more up front book time! The twists and turns were fun to follow and try to figure out along with the gang whodunit.
This is part of a series, and reading the other books first would maximize your enjoyment to get the best understanding of who is who and why people do certain things. But it’s not absolutely necessary to start at the beginning.
Good read
Lily is a cougar shifter who moved to a human town to be closer to her uncle Buzz. Her last living family member. Who just happens to be pretending to be human. Ever since she moved to town there has been one crazy murder case after another with Lily in the middle. You would think life would calm down by now but nope.
Now her uncle us accused of murder. The body found on the outside of the cat’s meow his dinner, along with his car. Yea did I mention the Sheriff really doesn’t like Lily or the that he couldn’t solve a case to save his own? Buzz is in trouble
Lots of fun, action, drama, mystery, intrigue, and so much more. I got pulled fast into the with all its wonderful characters and bad guys to hate on lol this was just fantastic 10 star adventure I didn’t want to leave.
Ps you might not want to read this out side in a quiet place because people really look at you funny for laughing out loud .
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
You will never go wrong with any cozy written by Renee George! Never a spoiler in my reviews here’s what you need to know: Super entertaining paranormal complete with laugh out loud moments and serves up a healthy helping of Pitbull breed awareness. Even if Pitbulls aren’t in your top 2 of breeds, this will completely convert you, and even if it doesn’t you will still have enjoyed a wonderful mystery. Works just fine as a standalone, although you would be doing yourself a disservice by not reading the others. Get this book now. I was provided an advanced copy of this book and am providing an unbiased, unsolicited review.
