Warning: this book is much spicier than Book 1, so if you don’t enjoy a higher flame rate, better don’t buy.
An unexpected time travel. A seduction dark and forbidden. A bargain that will change them both forever.
After a nasty breakup where her boyfriend had the audacity to tell her she was boring in bed, good girl Lisa decides to go on a Caribbean vacation with her best friend. While visiting … with her best friend. While visiting a pirate museum, she becomes entrenched in the story of Captain Cole the Black and how no one loved him. Her inner romantic wants him to have his own happily ever after even if he is a notorious pirate harboring a broken heart. After trying on a replica necklace in the museum, Lisa is transported back to the 18th century where she meets Cole the Black himself in his bedroom – and he awakens something deep in her soul that has been dormant for longer than she realizes.
Cole the Black is a great pirate and a better lover. He enjoys his freedom on the open sea and in the bedroom. Raiding ships for treasure and pillaging uptight, experienced women behind closed doors is his way of life, and he doesn’t want it to end. When he encounters Lisa in his bedroom during a very intimate act with himself, everything changes. She’s not his type, and he’s never been more attracted to anyone the way he is with her.
The two decide to strike a bargain. Despite the fact that he doesn’t believe in time travel, he’s willing to give her the necklace and go back home and she will let him seduce her in a way she’s never been before. But it’s difficult for Lisa to trust someone so soon after what happened before and part of her is terrified she may actually enjoy what he promises.

Story begins with Lisa’s perspective of the pirate museum. When they try the necklaces Lisa finds herself on a pirate ship with a naked pirate pleasuring himself! Mistaken as a prostitute, she tries to correct him, and she tries to tell him she’s from the future. He’s not convinced but he is in the mood for seduction. He’s determined that she is going to be his – for one night only.
This is about as scorching hot as you can get (OMG blushing and needing a fan…whew!) this story brings the heat up to the next level. The writing is sensual, sexy and descriptive of the emotions of their growing relationship. Cole’s backstory is cleverly written as a challenge by Lisa. It is through the answers that get vivid descriptions of what his life was like. The story is told from both POVs and Lisa’s desire to go back home wanes. The story is engaging and compelling to read. There are some parts of the book I loved right at the end but that would be spoiling it for you if I tell you what happens! hint there is a HEA!
This is an adventurous time travel romance with Lisa traveling back in time, landing on a pirate ship with Cole. The author does another fantastic job bringing an entertaining story with strong characters and vividly painted scenes. It’s a short story, moves fluidly and I loved reading.

Again a wonderful story from the pen of Mariah Stone in which traveling through time is central.
After visiting a pirate museum, Lisa gets the chance to put on a replica necklace from the treasures of James and Cole. What she doesn’t know is that with this chain she goes back in time and ends up on the ship of the pirate Cole. He doesn’t believe his eyes when suddenly there is a woman in his cabin and he tries to seduce her with his sexy games. Lisa, who was always the good girl, doesn’t know what hit her. While Cole tries to see their togetherness as something short but powerful, Lisa sees this as true love and doesn’t want to leave him. Cole doesn’t want her to go when he realizes he has fallen in love with her.
A lovely short story with light BDSM elements in it.
I like Mariah Stone’s stories. No heavy stories but delicious novels where you imagine yourself in a different time.

Good girl Lisa whose fiance dumps her pretty much because of it travels back in time and meets fifty shades of hunky pirate! She’s been hurt but still believes she can find love with the right man. Cole doesn’t want to find love and believes women only want him for a walk on the wild side. Can they let go of their pasts and find a future together?
Cole’s proclivities! Lisa’s desires! Will they be a match?
Lisa has vowed that she’ll go back to her time. Will Cole risk his heart? Does he have a heart? Or was it stomped on and irreparable?
The crow’s nest! Spying the ship! Distracting the captain… Totally capturing me!
I loved this story!
The imagery was amazing, and you’ll get it, I’m certain of it! This was a guilty pleasure for sure!!!
I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Pirate’s Pleasure is steamy time travel instalove: wham, bam!
3.5 stars
I really love Mariah Stone’s Viking time travel romance novels and just read the companion novella Pirate’s Treasure. Pirate’s Treasure was about the friends of Lisa and Cole who feature in this story; it was just that bit longer to have a more involved plot and I liked it more. In Pirate’s Pleasure, with a modern woman hooked on the idea of true love spinning back to the early 1700’s and the ship’s cabin of wild pirate Cole, I found it just that bit too short for me to settle into the story. Bouts of luvvin’, yes, they are steamy and a tad BDSM, and some brief danger added a little tension but the plot was not as strong as its companion piece.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.
This is the second story in a two-book series. Lisa and Cole are interesting characters, with commitment issues. The attraction between these two is off the charts. I enjoyed this story as much as the first one. Another great story.
Lisa is on a girl’s trip in the Caribbean one second, then suddenly transported to pirate captain Cole the Black’s private chambers the next. A voodoo-infused necklace holds the key to getting her back home, but Cole’s not sharing until Lisa agrees to spend some “quality” time in his bed. Lucky for him, she’s totally on board (no pun intended).
Rather than an independent story, this reads a bit more like a part two to “Pirate’s Treasure,” which tells the story of Lisa and Cole’s friends Samantha and James. The heat between Lisa and Cole burns hot from the start and doesn’t let up. The pirate’s got particular tastes and he’s eager to indulge them with shy Lisa. Turns out, she’s more into it than she ever would have imagined. If you’re nervous about kink, the story doesn’t go very far. It’s more of a looming possibility than a reality. But the characters still manage to have plenty of fun. As with the previous book, I wish it had been longer so that there’d be more character development and depth to their relationship, but it’s still fine.

A swash-bucking, adventurous, and heartwarmingly unique MUST-READ Pirate Romance!
PIRATE’S PLEASURE, the second novella in a series by the RONE Award-winning author Mariah Stone is a marvelously adventurous romantic romp. It takes readers through time and tells a story that weaves itself into their very sinew. Holding one’s attention until the series Called by a Pirate becomes more a promise than a destination. In PIRATE’S PLEASURE, Lisa visits the City of Pirates Museum with her best friend during a trip the two have taken to help Lisa overcome the devasting break up with her now ex-fiancé. While at the museum, the young women pause at a display of two portraits of some very handsome swashbucklers. What happens next is so full of heart-stopping adventure and heart-warming romance, readers can’t help but fall in love while they experience the chemistry and heat. Cole and Lisa find in each other a challenge and a new possibility. A possibility so fascinating and so tantalizing, readers will find it impossible to release PIRATE’S PLEASURE’S hold until the last word is consumed. I jumped at the opportunity to read an early copy of PIRATE’S PLEASURE and then purchased a pre-order of it, too! Despite its length, I had to give PIRATE’S PLEASURE a 5-STAR rating as this swashbuckling romance’s entertainment value was too perfect to only receive the number of stars usually given a novella-length story. I STRONGLY suggest you purchase your copy of PIRATE’S PLEASURE today! Happy pages!
Pirate’s pleasure had me from the beginning. The storm between Lisa and Cole seared my soul. Mariah has a way of drawing you in and wish for a way to travel back in time yourself.

This book follows “Pirate’s Treasure” and is also a novella. This time it’s Lisa and Cole’s story and just like her friend Samantha in the first book, Lisa finds herself traveling back in time and finding herself on a pirate ship….in Cole’s bedroom…while he’s pleasuring himself!! Not sure how I would react! lol
Lisa is a true romantic at heart and believes in love even though she’s had her heart broken by her ex-fiancé who accused her of being sexually boring. Cole was taught by an older woman all the joys of sex, along with all the “toys” and he feels it’s all women want from him, to be pleasured and that’s fine with him since he doesn’t want to love anyone. When Lisa suddenly appears in front of him, he feels instant attraction and before he knows it, his heart is involved. What follows are some hot scenes when he teaches her to let herself be free where her sensuality is concerned.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short, sexy time travel romance with great characters, romance and intrigue. She and her girlfriend were at a Pirate Museum with their tour guide. She had just broken up with her ex because he wanted to do swinging and said she wasn’t enough. The tour guide told her to put on the fake turquoise necklace that was part of the story about a sexy pirate who she was drawn to in the picture. When she put on the necklace, she was carried back to the bed of the sexy pirate in the picture. There are some steamy scenes and the ending is great.
