New York Times bestselling author, the incomparable Michael Crichton (“One of the great storytellers of our age” —Newsday) takes to the high Caribbean seas for an irresistible adventure of swashbuckling pirates, lost treasure, sword fights, duplicity, and hair-breadth escapes in the New World.
Crichton is one of the best. Ever a bad or ho hum read. All of his books are excellent.
A great tail of wooden ships and iron men.
Another great read from a world-class Author…….great Pirate story…..I will not tell anything about the story; it is way too good to ruin!!!
Not ready for print, obviously missing Michael’s final editing! Very simplistic and shallow characters.
Not pure Chricton, maybe finished after his passing? So it lacked the crisp clear writing style, meandering along at times.
Not Crichton’s best, but well worth the time. Most similar to “The Great Train Robbery” in style and nature, It tells a fictional story of pirating in the 1600s.
Can’t beat this author for edge-of-your-seat plausible sci-fi! This book is no exception.
Real historic figures portrayed as they may have really behaved.
Didn’t want to put it down… kept me coming back!
This one of his earlier works and not as goo as the more well known ones. I just wasn’t impressed with it.
