An inept witch. A talking pink iguana. A town trying to solve a lawman’s murder.Hi, I’m Glinda Goodall—the Good Witch of the South—and I want to welcome you to Witch’s Cove, Florida, a delightful beach town where witches and humans reside in peace and harmony. Sounds perfect, right? Yeah, that’s what it says on the billboard, but here’s the real scoop. My aunt, who runs the Tiki Hut Grill where I … where I work, sees ghosts—or rather sees one of them—namely her dead husband. My mom, a funeral director, is addicted to all things that have to do with The Wizard of Oz. She even has a terrier named Toto. And then there’s my familiar, Iggy, who is a very disgruntled pink iguana who fancies himself a detective. As for me, I’m a problem solver. My flaws are that I’m way too nosy for my own good, and I rarely say the right thing at the right time. This week’s exciting news? Our not-so-beloved law enforcement officer was murdered, and my best friend’s brother was accused of the crime. I have to help find the real killer, right? How could I not?Stop in to Witch’s Cove and grab a meal at the Tiki Hut Grill. You just might see me and my familiar in action.

I rather enjoyed this, it was funny with a good group of characters. I would recommend this book especially if you like quirky characters.

I will say one thing for Glinda she is clean! I have never seen any character shower or bath quite so much!!! Her sleuthing skills are awful, the who dunnit was awful and the magic (apart from the pink iguana creatively named “Iggy”) non existent, not even to decorate the restaurant. She only dresses in pink (even to a funeral…granted a “dark plum” but it got old quick that she was wearing pink! I’m here for sleuthing and paranormal not pink converse and a squeaky clean heroine!
Not great I’m afraid I won’t be looking for the next one.

OMG! I loved “Pink Is The New Black” 😀 the 1st in the brand new, Witch’s Cove Mystery series, that is a new genre for Ms. Day! However, I was hooked from the get-go as she does not fail on delivering a storyline that is fresh, with relatable characters, witty dialogue, amazing attention to detail, and also surprise twists that make this a page-turning must read I know readers will totally love 😀 … Even tho I always volunteer to read this author’s works, I do buy my own Kindle books when I am able to, so I can honestly recommend this to fans of fiction, and now I can’t wait for more! But, I will of course 😉 BTW- this is a clean romance with no sex, so it is suitable for teens & YA readers, too 😀
Glinda is determined to discover who killed the deputy of her small town. Will she figure it out before it is to late?
This book definitely made it so I cannot wait for the next one in this series. I loved how Glinda couldn’t help herself when it came to her curiosity and she was who she was and owned it. I am really hoping her and the new sheriff so become a couple after meeting them both in this book!
Loved it! Paranormal Cozy Mystery seems to be taking off with a bang for Ms. Day. This is an amazing start to a new series. The town and residents of Witch’s Cove are going to bring many hours of entertainment. The banter between Glinda and Iggy alone is enough to carry a story. Add in the others, we hit pay dirt. This witch/amateur detective just wants to help her best friend and his brother. Talk about opening a can of worms. The writing and attention to detail is superb. Each character brings something interesting to the mix. With every good read, things on a happy note. For most. A very worthwhile read. Until the next mystery……….
