A thrilling mystery that will keep you reading as fast as you can, Pines by Blake Crouch is one of the most action-packed, intriguing books I’ve read in a very long time. I hadn’t seen the series or heard anything about the plot, so I didn’t know what I was in for when I picked this one up – but I’m glad I did. Pines is a twisty-turny …
Pines by Blake Crouch by Paul Michael Garcia is an audible book that kept me guessing to the very end! What a wild ride! So many mysteries! Nothing makes sense! So much intriguing clues but the puzzle is beyond my brain to figure out before it was revealed! Excellent!!! One of my favorite books so far this year!
The narration was terrific also!! …
Loved this book and the two books that made the trilogy. Devoured them and was sad when I finished! Haven’t seen the TV series, but would highly recommend the books.
Finished this book in only two days. I couldn’t put it down! My only (minor) disappointments would be spoilers, so not going to list them here.
This book is a trilogy and I read all three. I decided to read these because Mat and I watched the TV series called “Wayward Pines”, and it just got renewed for a second season, so I wanted to see what was coming.
Unfortunately, the TV show and books were not that much a like. Well, I shouldn’t say unfortunately – both are good, but both went …
An Intriguing Read
As I was looking for an Amazon Prime book to read this month, I came across this book. It’s description intrigued me. The story zips along and is an easy read. You quickly discover with the main character that things are not quite what they appear to be. But by the end, the anomalies are resolved. The book kept my interest. I …
This book is so much better than the TV series! I read all three as fast as I could after enjoying Dark Matter. Gripping plot with quite a few twists. Love this author.
Ok, really creepy!!! Kind of a cross between a futuristic Stepford story and Jurassic Park. I figured out about halfway through the book that there was probably some time travel element going on when Ethan saw his partner, who he had been tasked to find. who had aged about 20yrs so the ending didn’t really come as a big surprise to me.
Still …
Great story, very unpredictable. There are 3 books in the series and I read them as fast as possible. The book starts out with a slight horror theme and ends up taking a completely different turn. You will enjoy this series to the very last line!
Pines is the first installment in the imaginative Blake Crouch’s multi-genre trilogy titled: Wayward Pines. First thoughts…this book was insane. The bulk of this plotline felt like someone’s nightmarish dream in a hallucinatory/noir kinda way, and the explanation for everything at the end came straight out of left field. Double-take is an …
I genuinely wish this trilogy did not end – I *LOVED* the author’s style of writing.
The book was easy to read; it was a genuinely engrossing set of books and he me wondering where things were going to next.
There were a few twists in the story which came out of left field and added to the seduction of the story.
After having bought and read …
Absolutely loved this series. I could never have imagined how this was going to turn out. Totally awesome.
I Loved all three books in the” Wayward Pines Trilogy”. The first book started slow and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, but it didn’t take long to grab me.
But Mr. Crouch if you read this: This Trilogy just screams for a sequel–I can’t wait.
