This time Charlotte has 2 murders to investigate! Mariska is a suspect in one so Charlotte is working double time to clear here. This is by far my favorite pineapple port book so far! Who doesn’t love Yorkie puppies?! There was plenty of drama, mystery, humor and action! This book was very well written and a few red herrings. I didn’t figure out The Who dun it until almost the end! That’s what I love about these books. Most author you figure it out right away and the rest of the book is boring! Not his author, this book or this series! I’m always looking forward to the next book to see what the ladies of pineapple port are up to. I highly recommend this book and this series!
This is another great book in this series. It involves two separate suspicious deaths and a missing litter of pedigree puppies who turn up in a strange place. Charlotte is helping with both cases, which are in two different police precincts, even though she is only actually hired to investigate one.

I purchased a copy of the complex cozy mystery Pineapple Puppies: A Pineapple Port Mystery: Book Nine – A cozy dog mystery (Pineapple Port Mysteries 9)by Amy Vasant and this review was given freely. Smarmy self entitled male characters, jealousy, greed, mental illness and the cute antic of puppies are combined in this poignant novel of love and loss. Charlotte with a little clandestine help from Declan, Tilly,Darla and Mariska solve two death cases loosely interconnected by six Yorkie puppies found on the doorsteps of their community.
I loved this book. Amy Vansant’s pineapple books are hilarious. Love the characters.
Miss Charlotte is a bit worried, no clients looking to hire her recently. Next thing she knows, there are two murders to solve although only one is a paying job. A neighbor mysteriously dies after eating a fruit stollen that Mariska helped bake. Charlotte must figure out “who dun it” to put Mariska at ease that she isn’t going to prison for killing her neighbor. While checking out one murder, along comes a cute little Yorkie that no one knows where it came from. All of a sudden, there are more Yorkies being found in Pineapple Port. The puppy mystery is easy to solve when she reads in the paper that some Yorkshire Terriers were missing following the murder of a millionaire. Fortunately Sheriff Frank knows the investigating Sheriff. Now the fun begins. Even Declan gets (reluctantly) roped into the action trying to solve the millionaire murder. Impatiently waiting for the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I love the characters and the author’s sense of humor. I thought all the twists and turns made for unputdownable reading. I really like how each book can be read as a stand alone book, as I really don’t like cliffhangers. Another great mystery!
I did enjoy this book but I thought the puppies would have a big role in the book and by that I mean be up to mischief. I don’t think it was as funny as some of her pervious books (some of the minor characters were missing- like the boyfriends uncle) but it is still worth a read and a nice book to add to the series.
Charlotte is working two cases in this book. One is the death of a resident at Pineapple Port and when puppies start turning up on doorsteps, including the victim is leads back to a second body. The murders have to be related…right? Charlotte thinks so and when some evidence points to her close friend she has no choice but to investigate even if she isn’t getting paid.
It was a fun read and I can’t wait to see what is in store for Charlotte and her friends next.
