The first three Pineapple Port Mysteries – Murder, romance & laughs strike a Florida retirement community full of characters you’ll never forget! The twist: The resident ace detective is only twenty-six. Book One: Pineapple LiesGrowing up in one of Florida’s fifty-five plus communities, Charlotte never expected life to be wild. Golf cart racing with her surrogate mothers Mariska and Darla was … Mariska and Darla was about as nutty as life got…until she found the hot pawnbroker’s mom buried in her backyard.
Talk about making a lousy first impression.
Armed with nothing but her wits, Pineapple Port’s questionable cast of characters and a growingcrush, Charlotte is determined to solve the mystery of Declan’s mother’s murder.
Hey, at least this guy’s skeletons aren’t in his closet.
Book Two: Pineapple Mystery Box
When a giant inflatable Halloween witch goes missing in the Pineapple Port retirement community, Charlotte’s eager to nab the culprit. Before she can lift a fingerprint, someone threatens to kill a new neighbor who looks like an adorable Pomeranian but possesses a disturbing talent for revenge. Moments later, a stranger demands the return of a mysterious wooden box… or else.
Charlotte’s boyfriend, Declan, isn’t having a great morning either. His calculating ex-girlfriend has returned to claim she’s the rightful owner of his pawn shop. She’s livid he’s found a new lady, too.
Eh. Things could be worse. At least Charlotte doesn’t know that a mojito-swilling killer who fed his grandmother to a cat is on his way to Pineapple Port…
Book Three: Pineapple Puzzles
The infamous Puzzle Killer returns to Charity, Florida, in search of a rival murderer, and when two serial killers battle, Charlotte, Declan, Seamus and a naked cat find themselves on the chopping block!

Super fun murder mystery that has so many twists and turns it keeps you guessing. I absolutely loved it. The characters are wonderful. It is a great series
I liked the first book but the start of the next book grossed me out..so I stopped reading anymore…sorry
Easy and fun reading.
These books were fun, “light” reading. The quirky characters make the books whimsical and entertaining.
I had a hard time getting into the story, probably will re-visit it later
One fun read!
Quick read
I don’t usually laugh out loud while I’m reading, but Amy Vansant writes a funny book. The Pineapple Port series is fun reading and I can’t help but laugh. The books are well-written and well thought-out. You will enjoy reading this series and other books by Amy Vansant.
The first book I think was my favorite, and it oddly had the best build-up of the relationship between Charlotte and Declan, which existed in the subsequent books, but definitely seemed to bring them close but fizzle out on their connection a bit. The final book in the series thus far, Pineapple Disco, was actually my second favorite. It’s crazy like a Dave Barry fiction and we learn a lot of new things about Declan than makes things way more exciting. These are a fun read, a really unusual premise (a young woman raised in a retirement community), and a good cozy series.
I tried to like these books, I really did. But after the first one, I concluded it wasn’t going to happen. The quality of the writing, plus implausible plots, characters, and settings struck me as something written by a novice writer for tween girls’ sleepovers. I found the author’s portrayal of those living in the Pineapple Port retirement community as a bunch of doddering old fools or randy druggies as distasteful as her millennial “detective” with her severe case of arrested development. The book does get one star though because, like an oasis in a desert, rare one-liners in the dialog were quite witty. Not enough to save the book, but still good.
Clean, funny, great characters, great plots, great friends, A young girl grows up in a retirement community and when her grandmother dies, the community takes her on as a granddaughter so she could remain in her home. After she finds a skeleton in her back yard while landscaping, the women who she was closest to started helping her find out information. She opens a detective agency and meets a man she falls for, not knowing the remains belonged to his mother who disappeared years ago. Wow, I loved it. Funny, great writing, and enjoyable.
Love this series. Will go on to read more!
Too repetitive..
Too many characters and too complicated.
Very enjoyable!
Love, love, loved these books, was left wanting more
Loved these books
I found this set of books to be entertaining. Very good natured humor & slap stick humor.
Interesting take on a young woman raised by a group of older people (mostly women) in a retirement community. You might need a few grains of salt to accept some of the shenanigans she and her mentors get into, but the cast of characters develops nicely from book one to book three. Good summer reading.
I totally enjoyed getting all three books together. Great way to read about a continuing character back to back to back. The scenery becomes a character and lots of twist and turns along the way.
