If Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum and the Golden Girls had a baby, it would be the Pineapple Port series. Fans of Lilian Jackson Braun, Jana DeLeon and Rita Mae Brown won’t be able to get enough of this wild, funny, thrilling corner of Florida!
(this one has a bit of a cliff-hanger, but don’t kill me – #8 will be out soon!)more
Love Amy Vansant’s characters and never-fail wit! I found this the perfect holiday read.
Wow, this series just seems to get better and better. I really enjoyed the book and every time I thought I had it worked out it shifted on me and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.
I loved the whole idea of this book, with the dangerous group of gingerbread men running around town it sounded funny and it didn’t disappoint. Charlotte has her hands full soloving a murder as a newly deputise deputy and to make things worse, she is hired as a private investigator looking into a crooked district attorney by her boyfriend ex-girlfriend.
I can’t wait for the next book.
This book is as good as all the others, but it does leave you hanging at the end. It almost seemed like there were three stories instead of just one. I’m glad I’ve read these all in order.
Sherriff Frank asked Charlotte to help with a case when they find a man who was killed in his house. He’s the man running the charity Christmas auction in town. As it turns out, he has a car and a ring that came up missing. This is a funny mystery and a good series with great characters.
5 stars
I purchased a copy of the novel Pineapple Gingerbread Men: A Pineapple Port Mystery: Book Seven by Amy Vansant and this review was given freely.
A complex action packed and at times humorous cozy mystery containing 2 murders, multiple story lines that are seamlessly blended, the continued romance between Charlotte and Declan, the dichotomy that is Stephanie, and an excellent lead in to a sequel. A good blend of murder and humor.
This book just cracked me up for real! I already loved the main characters from the previous books in the series. OMG Just picturing Gingerbread men driving around town in a truck LOL.
Charlotte is on another case – actually 2 cases – with her new PI license. Pineapple Port seems to be a busy place for murder. This time gingerbread men murder Santa. Soon we find out Santa isn’t a nice guy and has a long history of being on the naughty list. The murder mystery is solved with the help of Charlotte’s adopted family and residents of the retirement community. The other case involves Stephanie, Declan’s terror of an ex-girlfriend. While Charlotte takes care of the second case, it lead to another mystery – and a cliffhanger. Amy has promised the next book will be out soon. I have an idea what the new reveal will be, but will wait for the next book to find out if I’m right. Great characters, humor, and mystery. This book has it all. Amy Vansant is one of my favorite authors and I am so luck to have received an ARC once again. Looking forward to many more books in this series and all the others she writes.
My fave amateur sleuth turns professional and a Christmas theme, too?
Ticks all my boxes.
I’m really looking forward to this book’s release. I have all the rest of the books in the series. If you haven’t read them yet and enjoy mysteries, this is a great series to start!
