This is a second chance at romance book. It is a great and realistic book. One has to give up on their dreams while the other gets a chance to pursue theirs. Alanna had hoped to spend her life with Bradley. Fast forward to now Bradley is a sought after photographer and Alanna is working in a bakery in their hometown to help her mother pay off her dad’s medical bills. There is a lot of anger coming from Alanna towards Bradley. The characters were great but can they overcome everything in order to truly get their HEA.

Bradley and Alanna dated all through high school, but he left her at the worse time of her life. After her father’s death she was stagnant in all areas. It actually took the third time that Bradley came back to her to finally visualize the future. Good story that was interesting and engaging with both primary and secondary characters that were vivid. Good read!

4.5 stars — Alanna has been abandoned by life. First her father falls ill and eventually succumbs to it, her high school sweetheart leaves to pursue his dreams, and her mother has become a shell of her former self. Dealing with all these curve balls has forced her to put her life and dreams on hold. Then one day, Bradley strolls back into her life and things go from rolling hills to hairpin turns in each of their lives. It’s a rollercoaster, that’s for sure.
For added fun, there’s also some side drama between Farrah and Jackson. Keeping it in the family, so to speak. I voluntarily reviewed
Annie J. Rose’s Picture Perfect is a perfectly fun read with a perfectly written plot. Ok, I could resist trying to perfect this review but, frankly, I was happy to give this one five stars as it really was an enjoyable read.
Can you really have a second chance when so much time has passed?
Picture Perfect was a nice second chance at romance story between Alanna and Bradley. They were high school sweethearts who had plans together once they graduated. She was going to college on a sports scholarship and she was heading for culinary school. But life threw a curveball at Alanna in the form of her father’s cancer. So she had to stay at home to help nurse him which meant putting her dreams on hold. She asked Bradley to stay with her and wait a year but let’s just say he was not open to doing that, said some more than unwarranted things and they broke up. Then he was off and never looked back.
Some things did not work quite the way he expected but he is now making a major name for himself as a sports photographer. As for Alanna she stayed with and helped her mother after her father died. She never did pursue her dreams and instead still works full time at a bakery in town.
When Bradley comes back into town on assignment they bump into each other and things do not go well. He would like to get closure but she holds more than a little resentment towards him and what happened. Now the question is whether they can move past this or not? If they do then is there a second chance for them to be together?
I felt the story had a good premise but it did feel long to me. As a result I had a hard time finishing it and ended up skimming over parts. Additionally I thought it was strange that both Alanna and Bradley would talk with other people about what they were feeling but not to each other. It is a little hard to get closure, move past or have a second chance if you can’t be honest with each other about things.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.

A good second chance story that I really enjoyed. Highschool sweathearts that got their plans broken. One left and one stayed.
Many years later they meet again and realise that neither of them have moved on….
Good story and loveable characters.

I’m a sucker for a second chance romance and Annie delivered! Alanna and Bradley had it all and had their life planned out. But as life often is their plans were upended. Years later all the hurt and feelings of betrayal come back wen Bradley comes back in to town on business. The love really never went away for either one and things are going to get very messy before there is any chance of even speaking to each other. I loved the drama, hurt, loss and lingering love that makes their story so fantastic!
Ms. Annie Rose has just touched my heart with her latest release. Picture Perfect is the kind of book you get hooked on from the very first page, and sit up reading long into the night, to finish.
A heartfelt book with an incredible storyline and the realistically crafted/engaging characters to match.
Falling in love with your best friend and soul mate is an exquisite kind of love. Holding on to it seems to be the biggest issue, when life altering events happen and you must choose.
This unbelievably talented Author has gifted us with another example of her incredible talent and creativity and you will have no issue following along as Bradley and Alana (once inseparable High School sweethearts) lose their happily ever after and after six years apart, Bradley realizes he will stop at nothing to secure a future with the one woman he left behind (as well as his heart). Emotional rollercoaster of emotions throughout this must read release.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Picture Perfect in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Rose.
Picture Perfect is absolutely perfect! Great second chance story of high school sweethearts who faced difficult times and made some hard and life changing choices. They reconnect years later. Fate steps in and helps them clear the air and realize they still love each other. Add in a baby and you have a picture perfect HEA.

This was an ok read. Both characters drove me crazy but at least Bradley grew up. Alanna not so much she frustrated me to no end.
Alanna and Bradley were high school sweethearts and they broke up when Alanna’s father got cancer. He went off to college and she stayed home to help her mom. Years later Bradley is headed home. This story really pulled on my heartstrings because of how Alanna seemed to give up on her dreams and life while Bradley went on and fulfilled his. Picture Perfect is a great read filled with heartbreak, angst, tears, regret and a perfect ending. My only complaint is that I wish the book was longer.
Alanna and Bradley’s story is so touching. They were school sweet hearts when Bradley broke her heart and left to fulfill his dreams. Alanna stayed behind because of her father and put her dreams on hold to take care of him. When he died, she still remained for support to her mother and help with bills. Now Bradley is back in town and one look at Alanna has him realizing that what he is missing is right there in town. Alanna tries to stay away but the her heart wants what it refuses to get that message. Will this be a second chance for her and Bradley? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I loved this second chance romance from start to finish.the chemistry between Brad and Alanna their characters are well developed and engaging and their happy ending was well earned with all the twists and turns they had to get through.

Well Thought Out and Sensitive Storyline
This story was about a twenty-six year old woman, Alanna, who emotionally is stuck in her senior year thru the death of dad three years ago. She is stuck because she feeds off of her mother continually grieving for her husband. Alanna was supposed to go to NYC to attend Culinary School while her boyfriend, Bradley, attended college nearby. She gave that up to take care of her dying dad while Bradley abruptly and with an eighteen year old self-centeredness left even though her self-centeredness expected him to stay and postpone his dreams.
Now Bradley comes home to Philly a successful sports photographer and runs into Alanna’s best friend. She sets up a get together which does not go well even though over the course of his stay he try’s to bumble his way through an apology. Alanna is not there yet.
Over the course of a opulent weeks Alana notices a change in her mother; she works more hours as a nurse, has a spa day, and the biggest one sets Alanna reeling, which causes Alanna to think differently and openly. So she tries dating.
Bradley returns a few weeks later and knows he needs to try once and for all. Their meeting ends up in them doing the dirty and yep, the stick turns pink.
Alanna does the right thing and calls him immediately asking for him to came and see her. He makes a point of doing this time what he could do the first time…be there for her.
I really liked the premise of the storyline and thought the author showed wonderfully how grieving does not happen in isolation and can affect other people in the household.
I certainly recommend this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.
I received this ARC from “Bad Boy Update” for my honest review so I’m leaving this for your consideration. Peace.
This sweet second chance romance was so well written with characters that were so well rounded that I was totally enthralled as I turned each and every page!
ONE FABULOUS WHIRLWIND!!!
Incredible! Annie knocks this bad boy out da park with all the finesse and vigor to rival a gold medalist. A bevy of spinning emotions running rampant, exposing all the distress and turmoil blazing this bad boy together piece by piece. All the angst, suspense and speculation along with all that drama, tension and intrigue go blow this bad boy wide open. Throw in a little mystery and uncertainty and you have one block busting delight. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer brings this piece of perfection bursting to life flawlessly. Rose really nailed this bad boy and kept me on a razors edge from start to finish. Twists and turns abound along with a few bumps and bruises around every sharp corners and sleek lines make for one thrilling experience. The characters chemistry sizzles from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The characters personalities are authentic, relatable and so realistic with depth and qualities make you feel apart of the story instead of on the sidelines. The scenes are so vividly detailed it gives the illusion you were right there with them. Remarkable job Annie, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
