Laurie LeClair’s second book in the Cupid’s Corner series, Picture Perfect Bride, is sure to steal your heart as it did mine…even though “second chance” romances have been done ad nauseam, this author’s spin on the concept is completely fresh and heartfelt.
Adam and Molly are the type of memorable characters who pull at your heartstrings…they leave a shadow of a print on your heart with the depth of the challenges and love they have for each other. The secondary characters are the perfect compliment to the overall story arc, their dynamics greatly enhanced the enjoy ability of the story. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this series, I am hooked on Ms LeClair’s stories.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
This second chance romance had me from the start as soon as I read why Adam wanted to come back to town and his reason for leaving in the first place. A man who puts the woman he loves before himself is truly in love with this person. Not only that ON MY Giddy Aunt…. Molly’s family. I am already jumping ahead of myself in this book. Let me say this is the second book in this series. While I truly enjoyed the first book and I believe both books need to be made into movies for the Hallmark channel asap just as they are written… you CAN read this book as a stand alone book just fine. Just image this cute little town in New England that is all about love and it is called Cupid Corner. That’s this town and it needs a few things added it the town to make it pop and perfect. Adam sees that Cupid Corner doesn’t need a snazzy up dated golf course or ritzy up scale hotel chain so he comes back home to make things right. But much more than that he comes home for family and of course more. I am so looking forward to more books written about this cute and quaint little New England town that has quickly stolen our hearts.
Not everyone is into weddings and that includes some wedding photographers. Molly McCleary is a photographer in Cupid’s Corner who doesn’t believe in happily ever after But she is given the opportunity to photograph the transformation of an old farm in Cupid’s Corner into a wedding venue. The kick though is the guy who is handling the transformation is the guy who left her behind at high school graduation.
Adam Larson left Cupid’s Corner right after high school graduation with no word to anyone. He has managed to turn his talents in the construction field into a successful business. He has come back to Cupid’s Corner to transform a run down historic farm into something amazing. But he needs the talents of Molly McCleary to make this a successful venture.
These two high school sweethearts have a second chance at love.
I will be honest, I struggled with this book. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen on occasion. Is the book well written? Yes but it didn’t grab me even after I got to chapter 3. Maybe it has to do with my state of mind right now. I will try it again in a few weeks and see.
I did receive a copy of this book in advance from the publisher in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
This is the second book in the series and even though I never read the first book I had no trouble following what had happened in the town previously
Adam and Molly where schoolyard sweethearts and where about to get married when Adam stood her up at the later. This along with the fact that she was born premature causes the town and her family to treat her like she will break. Adam never explained to her why he stood her up (he lost his scholarship and was frightened he couldn’t financially support her) Now six years later he is back he has purchased an old barn that developers where eyeing off but he sees it as a way to get his life with Molly back He intends to renovate it with her photographing the changes and then set it up[ as a wedding venue with her not only running it but been the resident photographer Will she give him a second chance and when the past nearly destroys them again will the town rally to help them get that future.
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the series. I didn’t read the first book but the author does a terrific job providing the backstory so I didn’t feel lost. This was a sweet romance about a second Chance for the high school sweethearts Molly and Adam, many years later. I really enjoyed this story. Both of the main characters were really likable.
We meet Molly, the photographer in her home town of Cupid’s Corner, New England. She was stood up at the alter after her senior year of high school by her love, Adam. She was treated by her family and the town as if she was made of glass and not able to make her own decisions because she had been a preemie. When she was left behind by Adam as he rushed out of town, she was devastated. Her parents tried to force her to become a teacher but she ended up as a photographer with her own shop.We learn she is still in love with Adam.
Adam left town because he didn’t get his football scholarship and knew he couldn’t afford college. He was from the wrong side of town and didn’t think he could provide for Molly as she deserved. Of course he never told her any of this. Years later he learns his old boss’s farm in Cupid’s Corner sale and he didn’t want a developer to swoop in and turn it into tract homes. He has a vision and wants to make amends with Molly by setting it up as a bridal and event center with Molly doing the photography and planning the events. He tries to make it look to the town like they are back together. Her brother and best friend finally support them.
Molly and Adam both are still in love with the other. Adam fully plans to leave again once he thinks all is set up for Molly to have a happy life without him. She is afraid she will be devastated again. He doesn’t think she wants to be with him any more. The town is trying to help them this time around. There is a lot of angst and sweet romance. As the reader I was pulling for the couple to figure it out so they could have a HEA.
Second chances can succeed is you keep your fingers crossed and find a way into the cracks of a broken heart.
Engaging and unforgettable story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is entertaining and romantic. It’s a sweet story about rekindled love. I was captivated from the beginning. There were humorous parts, as well as parts that melt your heart. I truly enjoyed this book, as I do all of Laurie LeClair’s books. Read it, you will not be disappointed.
I could not put down Molly and Adam’s second chance story in Picture Perfect Bride by Laurie LeClair, book two in her Cupid’s Corner series. This is a wonderful, emotional, sweet, and heartwarming story, featuring a magical town. I loved watching this couple deal with their unresolved past, understand the whys of their separation, and realize that they never stopped loving one another; sharing a love that can last a lifetime. This journey was emotional, enjoyable and reflective of their growth and separation. I also enjoyed having the opportunity to catch up with characters from the first book as well. If you love a good solid romance with believable characters then Picture Perfect Bride should definitely be on your reading radar. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A sweet second chance romance between Molly and Adam. Adam changed his mind years ago a week before marrying Molly. Adam has now returned to town to renovate a historic landmark and hires Molly to photograph his work in progress. Molly feels she is the,”recovering hopeless romantic”. As they spend time together she finds out why Adam left and soon find their feelings for each other as not changed.
This is fun cute story where the characters face a few obstacles that they must overcome to have their HEA. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone.
I really enjoyed Adam and Molly’s storyline, very emotional at times,I didn’t want it to end.I highly recommend this book series .

This is Molly McCleary and Adam Larson’s story.
My name is Molly McCleary and I’m a recovering hopeless romantic. “Yep, that’s me.” Molly raised her professional camera, adjusted the long lens, framed the shot, and then snapped the image. The young, recently engaged couple gazed longingly at each other and held hands on the grass-covered area in front of the calm, soothing lapping water of the pond.
She waited a beat for the sparkling diamond effect and then snapped a half dozen times. “Perfect silhouette.” Young love. High school sweetheart love.
That was me once. Until it wasn’t.
Adam Larson tossed down his pencil. It hit the pad he’d scribbled figures on with a dull thud. Leaning back, his chair squeaked. Need to fix that. The noise echoed in the quiet, efficient construction trailer brightened by the overhead fluorescent lighting.
He rubbed his hand over his face and then gazed around at the three other desks—their occupants sane enough to leave for the weekend already. Unrolled blueprints covered the main table. A row of corkboards with haphazard papers and safety rules pinned on them and write on wipe off boards filled with diagrams and notes of present and future jobs hung on nearly every inch of the walls.
The sudden ring of his desk phone jolted him.
Picture Perfect Bride by Laurie LeClair is a 4 star book.

It has been a while since I have read anything by this author so I was thrilled to see Picture Perfect Bride by Laurie LeClair. Somehow I had missed the first book in the series. While that did not hinder my enjoyment of this story, I did purchase that one to catch up with the series. Since I haven’t read it yet, I know that you can enjoy Picture Perfect Bride as a stand-alone; any background needed is given.
Written more in the same vein as The McCall Brothers Series than it is Once Upon a Romance Series, it gives the reader a wonderful second chance romance. Really along with that is a chance for Molly to find out what actually caused Adam to walk away or perhaps run away is a better description years ago. Molly McCleary’s life and photography business is fine until her old high school sweetheart returns. Adam Larson is now successful, returning to Cupid’s Corner in New England to try to make up for decisions he made when young. This sweet romance has angst and doubts, but also forgiveness, love that is lasting, and two very likable main characters who deserve to be happy together.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Molly McCleary had her life planned out back when she was in high school. She was going to marry Adam Larson and then they would go off to college together. Problem was Adam walked away before that could happen with no explanation. Now six years later Adam is ready to go back and make amends in his old home town of Cupid’s Corner in New England but first he wants to try to patch things up with Molly….the girl he still loves. Adam comes up with a plan that Molly can’t refuse….take pictures of the old barn and property he has purchased to document the changes while he turns the place into a wedding venue. Of course the more Molly and Adam spend together, the more those old feelings start to come back.
Just when things were starting to get serious between Molly and Adam, the past has a way to come creeping back in and ruin everything. Eventually it will take the whole town of Cupid’s Corner to get Molly and Adam to realize that what those two have is not something you just throw away so quickly. Once these two actually sit and talk they realize that their future has always been within reach, they just needed to actually reach for it.
Overall this was a sweet, romantic story of second chances that was very enjoyable.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 2nd book in this series and can be read as a standalone. Adam and Holly were high school sweethearts. Adam broke off their engagement just a week before the wedding with no explanation and Molly has been lost ever since.
Adam returns to Cupid’s Corner after buying some property and is going to create a wedding venue unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. He wants Molly to be the photographer for the facility.
With so many unresolved feelings between them, will they be able to find that spark they had or will it just fizzle out and die. Do we find out why Adam called off the wedding? To get all your questions answered, please read.
