So many points of views in this book. This is definitely a must read, packed full of details without being overwhelming. You get to know what is ticking in Violet, Joe and Mason’s heads. Background stories being told which help understand why they think and do things they do. You also get Rose’s point of view in this mini book. This was almost even healing what happened in this novella.

I loved this novella! You get an inside scoop of what Rose, Mason, Violet, Joe, and Bruce Wayne are thinking and feeling. My favorite to read about are Mason, Joe, and Bruce Wayne. It helps you understand their background, why they do what they do, and other questions that you may have.

I have to say I love these tie in books. They are so nice to continue the story and see how others in the book are tied into Rose’s life. At this point Rose has become a part of your family. You are going to want to read this book. It is a nice bridge to the next book.

I really enjoyed getting the backstory to a lot of the characters. To understand their feelings and why the way they are. I’m still not a fan of Violet nor of Joe. I’m loving Maeve though. She’s so kind and sweet. This book is definitely an important novella to read because it gives you insides into a lot of Joe and Mason’s past. Onto Thirty-Three and a Half Shenanigans!

Picking Up the Pieces is such an outstanding novella! Denise gives us such insight with POV’s from Violet, Mason, Joe, and Bruce Wayne. I love feeling like I know “behind the scenes” information as Denise fills in the blanks. Rose is trying to re-build her business after tough financial times, and ends up opening a landscaping business with Bruce Wayne, in addition to the nursery with Violet and now Joe. We also learn more about Mason and his past, including his sister Savannah and her history with Joe. The Lady in Black is keeping everyone on their toes in Fenton County, and I can’t wait to see all of the things Rose will get into with this mysterious alter-ego!

A novella that fills in the story of Rose Gardner. This novella gives a view of the different characters thinking of events from the previous book. Really gives you insight into other characters in the series.

Love Love Love that Denise does Novellas. It gives us a great inside to the book characters. This book was well written and I can’t wait to find out the outcome to some of the things in the books.

I love this novella! We get a glimpse into other characters in this series to find out why they do the things they do. We get to know them and their secrets. I have a softer spot for some of the characters I previously branded as villains. I feel as thought I have a deeper connection to some of these characters and we can see a side of them that they keep hidden from Rose. Its a short, easy read.

I loved this between the books novella and reading other character’s perspectives. We get to see point of views from Rose, Mason, Violet, Joe, and Bruce Wayne. I always love getting a peek into what other characters are thinking and learning about their past experiences. I like that this is only presented in the novellas because I do like the main books being written in first person point of view from Rose’s perspective. It was an enjoyable, short read to pass the time between the main books.
I liked learning more about Bruce Wayne and Mason’s background with their own families. I still do not care for Violet and I probably like her even less after this book. I think she really needs therapy and to take responsibility for her own life choices instead of blaming Rose. It was good to see things from Joe’s point of view and to see how he’s handling the big changes in his life. I hope he can find some peace within himself so he can move forward in his life.

I really enjoyed Picking up the Pieces. After all the bombs dropped in Thirty-two and Half Complications I really needed some different perspectives. I was glad Denise Grover Swank included perspectives from Violet, Bruce Wayne, Mason, and especially Rose about her new role as Lady in Black and her new business partner, and Joe concerning his bomb that Hilary dropped at the end on Thirty-two and a half Complications.
