One hot doctor, a flirty male nurse, and a connection that can’t be denied. To the outside world, Dr. Mark Olsen looks like he has a perfect life. Yet Mark hasn’t found the “one” and longs to belong to that special someone. Five strong and open-minded stars! This M/M novella is incredibly beautiful.
Oh. My. Gosh! My cheeks are still burning. This book is so hot and intense. Sierra Hill has delivered a phenomenal book.
Physical Connection is a fierce story about two souls who happened to find their way towards each others arms. Before they find their happy ending, they will overcome the fear of being together. Because when you find true love, it doesn’t matter your skin tone, religion or sex. Love is the purest feeling and it can’t be tarnished because of ignorant minds.
This is the first time I read an M/M book and wow! What a book! I always wondered how a man-man relationship worked in real life. And thanks to Sierra I have a nice idea of how! This is a good begging for those who are planning on reading their first M/M novella.
Sierra’s writing is magisterially elegant and addictive. Her stories are beautifully developed and her characters feel always so human.
Elijah and Mark’s story is deeply compelling. Both are complicated and complex characters. Eli is the funny type of man and Mark is the serious one. They are a perfect match. Both are possessive and bossy. While Eli takes what he wants and is open about his sexuality, Mark is reserved and controlled.
And the best part is that Mark is a hot doctor and Elijah is a sexy nurse. Yay! This baby reminded me my favourite doctors series: Grey’s anatomy. But this is more intense and addictive and forget the drama in the hospital community.
Who doesn’t want a good-looking doctor and a sweet male nurse who will take care of you even if you are not sick! I am in for a threesome with them. Badly that I don’t have the right part down the south.
Mark and Eli will have a special place in my heart. I never thought that gay romance could be so fierce and beautiful at the same time until I read Physical Connection. Sierra did a great work! I enjoyed everything about this novella. Each page was haunting and my heart was pounding hard in my chest. I highly recommend this book.
I don’t normally read m/m romance. However, being a fan of Sierra’s books, I thought I’d give it a try. Wow!! It was scorching! I think the fact that Mark didn’t feel he was gay, however had that strong pull to Eli, gave so much more to the story. The banter between the two was great. It was a funny, hot read.
“Because physical attraction is fleeting; but souls connecting is forever.”
The Fourth book of the Physical series, Physical Connection, by Sierra Hill is somewhat of a gem. It’s a shorter story than most but it hold scars and passion and a lot of wow-moments.
We meet two main characters, Eli and Mark. Eli is a nurse, openly gay and proud and Mark is a surgeon, a closeted bisexual man who isn’t sure he will be accepted if he voices and shows who he really is. But who knows what the possibility of losing someone, who’s become such a vibrant part of you, can lead you to?
This is just a part of the story and the chemistry between these characters practically melts off the page. Eli is a cocky flirt and usually just struts it because he can. Where Mark is more closed off and wants to keep his image and reputation intact. They embark on a journey of self-discovery and things can either turn out really good or really bad, but it was worth the wait!
Sierra stuns once again and it’s not an easy book to put down once you started!
Absolutely worth five hot and heavy stars!

Whoa Buddy, I’m Inlove
Holy moly! I have not read many MM stories, but this one stole my heart and light me up to a whole new genre! Sierra Hills writing is flawless, effortless and beautiful. I can’t get enough of her words. She wove a truly magical tale between Mark and Eli that took some of my poor little readers heart. The delicacy of how she handled Mark’s emotions and fears of coming out or staying in was so real I could feel it. And Eli’s need to not hide who he for anyone again, no matter how much he might want that person is endearing. These two men are so sweet and hot! I mean really HOT! Phew… it gets intense in the best of ways. If you’ve never read a MM story I would give this a chance. It’s a great way to dip your toes into the water and test it out.

I voluntarily reviewed a complementary copy from the author with no obligation.
I don’t know what it was, but I struggled to really connect with Mark and Eli. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book, but I struggled to love the two main characters.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read.
This was a super sweet novella! Mark and Eli are so hot and cute all at the same time. I really liked hearing about them getting together. It was really cool to get a little bit of back story for both the characters. I really wish it was longer! I think I could easily have spent so much more time with Mark and Eli. It was a great story about these 2 getting together and working through the obstacles that they face for both being gay and working together!
Physical Connection is the first book I have read in this series and I loved it! It was a quick and sexy read about a hot doctor and cocky nurse! I loved Mark and Eli. They were total opposites but were really great together! I loved the instant connection they had. Great read!
Two men and one sizzling attraction. Mark is an excellent surgeon, Eli is an excellent nurse. Working closely with one another is a double-edged sword, though. They work well together and that connection is beginning to spill over into some forbidden thoughts. Well, forbidden to Mark. Not only is he concerned about their working relationship, but he’s not ready to face the questions regarding his sexuality. Eli has no such qualms. He’s been out since high school and despite his unfortunate past he’s got a happy life and loves what he does. But getting to know the sexy doctor could definitely make things better.
I liked each of these men overall. There were some inconsistencies, dramatics, cowardice, and impulsive moments that I wasn’t a fan of, but I did find the men a good match for one another when they finally got on the same page. Together they had some intense chemistry and when the ending was really worth getting to.
Mark’s coming out, or lack thereof rather, had more to do with being afraid than timing. He was so sure everyone in his life would turn their backs on him because of one person he knew of in his circle that had a tragic end. Then when he chose his two best friends to come out to he mentioned that he knew one of them would only be mad that he hadn’t shared this part of himself earlier. He was also a fairly dramatic person in his head. But he was earnest and trying to be everything to everyone and I can’t really fault him for that. Everyone should be given a chance to come out when and how they choose.
Eli was easier for me to like from the start but probably because he was more clear about who he was and what he wanted. That didn’t mean he was without frustrating moments. His immature and impulsive reaction to Mark’s reassertion of his expectations was disappointing but I wasn’t expecting him to reflect so hard and so honestly about it. We get an idea of his past before this happens and it apparently touched a little too close to that hot button for him to react better. Yet it’s the way he apologizes, the sincerity behind each of his words and sentiments that makes me forgive him.
So in a short story we got to see two men that were surprisingly well-described and had sufficient back story to make them believable characters and plenty of chemistry. The ending was really the best part and smoothed out the rougher edges of immature displays, drama queen inner monologues, and inner angsting.
4.5 STARS
Earlier this year, I read my first book from this author and fell in love with her words. I was more intrigued to read another of her books and was lucky enough to read Physical Connection early. It’s been a while since I have read a MM story that had such depth and a beautiful storyline
Eli could be the cliché character, he is out and proud of his identity, not afraid to flirt when the opportunity presences itself. Yet he is struggling with moving to a new city and falling for a guy who seems stuck in the closet. Plus there is the tiny little fact that he is a doctor and he is the lonely new nurse. There nothing that stops this guy and I loved that despite his back story, Eli wasn’t afraid and he had his work cut out as Mark need some serious coxing
Mark , was strait lace as they came . He knew his identity he thought yet struggle with his own past and the fact he hadn’t come out. With brief period of his life exploring that identity then heart breaking , Mark seemingly put his love life behind him for now. Determined to be a workaholic, Physical Connection was the perfect way to finally explore pent up sexual frustration and emotions with his past and face the present .
I love the way the things set up , taking only a brief period of time and exploring every waking minute that was relevant. It allowed for a connection to build and allowed readers to follow their journey and be part of the discovery of new beginnings and understanding yourself.
There so much opportunity with this scenario and Hill tells a hot and steamy story that plays on the heart and connections. Nothing less that I expect given the pairing and the fact Hill knows how to deliver a story. Mark and Eli story was everything I have come to love about Hill. A great story with two endearing leads and heart swooning moments that will have you swooning for hours after.
