Phoenix Rising is book 16 in the Reed Security Series and it is suggested they be read in order. The men and women of Reed Security are back, but after all the turmoil of the past year, how do they adapt and move forward. For some, it’s easy, but others, the past year is only the beginning of what they will have to deal with. Some of them were shot and almost died. Morgan and Chance were taken and … were taken and tortured in their own respects and now must deal with the after affects. Payton was torn from her mother and spent a year and a half without her. The wives lost their jobs and many had to run from their families and friends to keep them safe. But one thing remained the same through all of this, they are each others’ family and will do anything to help each other through. They are Reed Security, and they will rise from the ashes.
“Alexa, play Sam Tinnesz.”
I waited as it was searching and cringed when Mmm Bop by Hanson came on.
“What the f@$k? Alexa, play Legends Are Made by Sam Tinnesz.”
Alexa searched again, this time playing John Legend.
“You’ve got to be f@$king kidding me. I just want something good to listen to. Alexa, play Hold On For Your Life by Sam Tinnesz,” I said slowly, accentuating every word.
“Searching….”
And then the opening strands of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On started to play.
“F@$k it.” I sloshed back down in the water, trying to ignore the girly song that was playing while I was trying to relax. I actually found that it was working. The soothing melody had me sinking into such a relaxed state that I didn’t even notice the door opening.
“What the hell are you listening to?” My eyes flew open in surprise. Chris was standing in the doorway with a smirk on his face. “Want me to get you a cocktail?”
“Actually, I’d love one,” I retorted. “I tried to get the f@$king thing to play something else, but like any woman, she just did whatever the f@$k she wanted.”
“Alright, let’s see what we got here.” He walked over to a mini-fridge in the corner. I had expected to find water, but instead saw some kind of girly cooler.
“Toss me one.”
Chris popped the top and handed one to me and then got one for himself. After draining half of it, he got undressed and got in with me. “Is this weird?” he asked as he settled in.
“Sitting in the hot tub together?”
“Yeah. You know, it’s kind of like bathing together. You’re sweaty. I’m sweaty….”
I nodded. “I gotcha.” I reached over to the ledge and grabbed a bottle of body wash, pouring in a generous amount. Bubbles filled the tub and I grinned, pleased with myself.
“Yeah, that’s not at all weird,” Chris muttered. “Now we’re taking a bubble bath together.”
“But we’ll be clean,” I pointed out. “What’s worse? Sitting around in each other’s filth or sitting in soap together?”
“Soap is only clean as long as it’s in the bottle. Once it’s in the water, it’s just dirty soap.”
“It’s self-cleaning.”
“Oh, God.” Chris and I turned to see Jules standing in the doorway with Alec and Rocco. “Are you two taking a bubble bath?”
“It’s a hot tub,” I corrected. “The bubbles are just to get us clean.”
“That’s what a shower is for,” Jules pointed out.
“Hot tubs are very good for the muscles,” Rocco said as he yanked off his shirt. “I’m in.”

This is a great addition to the series.
This story helps to update everything from previous books very well.
We got to revisit with all the couples and met some new faces.
The author touches on some serious things the people with PTSD deal with compassion and understanding. It was good to see an author delve into it with a true reality of what goes on.
Highly recommend.

This is the 16th book in this phenomenal series, and this one is unequally different from previous novels, as the danger and enemies have been eliminated, and now all of the team and their families are left to rebuild their lives. This is a great catch up on everyone, but understandable Chance is the worse hit with PTSD, and is pushing everyone away including Morgan. This is a well written flawless story which is realistic, intense, emotional, heartbreaking, humorous, and is a heartfelt and powerful story with twists, which all had me totally enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. Hat’s off to this gifted author for penning a brilliant masterpiece!
This is book sixteen in the Reed Security series, is it possible for these books to get better? This book is like a ‘catch up’ on all the characters in the series but yet it still propels the story of these folks forward. There is no denying that the last year has taken some serious kicks and punches to our beloved characters and it’s time to regroup and rebuild. I love how the Reed Security is just a tight knit family. These men and their women bring out the best and sometimes the not so best out each other but bottom line, some needs help, guaranteed, they will all.be there to hold you up and support you. Of course the interaction of these folks is still as an emotional roller coaster as ever that will be one of the best rides of your life. If you have not picked up one of these books, start with book one, I promise, you will be caught up in no time because you will fall in love with the characters and their stories that test them to their limits and sometimes beyond. Fantastic job Giulia!

The guys (and families) are back, and they’re in rare form – serious when they have to be – silly and goofy when it suits them. They’re all still dealing with the aftermath of the bloodbath that they suffered in the last three books, and trying to move Reed Security forward. Chance and Morgan – are they headed for their happy ending? I notice new teams in the list of characters. Does this mean more books??? A girl can hope and pray.

Wow! This is book 16 of the “Reed Security” series and what an emotional rollercoaster this one took me on. If you’ve been following along with this series, then you like the rest of us, have gotten to know this team so well they almost seem like family or old friends. Now, they’ve lost it all. Everything is in shambles, wounds have to be licked and businesses need to be rebuilt. But after all this, are they too old? Too broken? Can they do it again? What about bringing in new team members? This one had me in tears, taking deep breaths, grinning and sometimes chuckling but always in love with this series. What a great summary of the old and beginning of something new.
Once again we are with the men and women of Reed Security yes they have eliminated the threats that where plaguing them but in the process they have destroyed everything They all need to rebuild and the woman need to find a new job after losing theirs. Chance is suffering from PTSD and it is getting worse to the point that it is about to destroy his relationship with Morgan and new embers are joining them Hello Tony Taco after helping Maggie he joins the fold as former military he will fir right in.
Can they start their business again and will they finally get a chance at a little peace You will have to read to see
There are a huge number of books in this collection, and after the recent three story plot arc which affected all the characters, many of them quite significantly, it’s not a surprise that this book focuses on how they’re all coping in the aftermath of attacks, kidnappings, torture, and being locked together on a single property for so long. I really felt the struggle Chance & Morgan experienced, the guilt & unworthiness each of them felt. This book was a mixture of healing and hope. Although I really enjoy the books with a lot of action, I appreciate how the author makes these characters come alive as she develops them over time and experiences. I’m looking forward to more work by this author.
I received a copy of this book. My honest review is voluntarily provided.
Book 16 in the Reed Security series. As always, an interesting book that keeps your attention. Should be read in order, as you find out haow the team is recovering and plans going forward. The females have ideas for a sex toy shop, but this does have some problems. PTSD is addressed for some of the characters, with Chance and Morgan struggling with what they have been through. Great read!

As the 16th in the series, you have to go in knowing at least the background of the previous 3 story arc, but all of it is best. This is NOT the place to try and jump into this series!
Reed Security has been around a long time, is a vast and densely populated world and there’s just no denying if you are a fan how involved you are in these characters’ lives. This book shows quite literally the rebuilding of Reed Security as a business, but also how those involved with it are doing the same in their own lives. A number of story threads are followed, and trouble is around the corner just like always.
Giulia’s stuff is always a great read, recommend this series if you need a great binge!

This was great read with plenty of chemistry and some twists added in to make this one interesting book. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly.

This is a fantastic book about everyone re grouping after everything they have been through as well as the introduction of some new characters we will hopefully seen in future books, especially Rocco oh lordy that was freaking hilarious. We also finally see how things will end up for Chance and Morgan. There is so much packed in this book that you most certainly need to get comfy before you start and maybe have some chocolate biscuits and a wine close by as you are going to get sucked into everything and not want to move!

Book sixteen in the A Reed Security Novel series a well written story that once I started I was not putting it down. This tells you what the team has gone through after the past year, some of them really need help to get over it. I found myself laughing at somethings at others going that is not good or that is not the way you should be handling it. But through everything there is a feeling of brotherhood and togetherness. These books should be read in order to get the best from this series.I like the tattoo Chance got.I will be reading this series again when it is finished. Reed Security is rising from the mess and trauma to rebuild and come to terms with all that has happened.
This book has many threads the main one how Chance and Morgan cope in the aftermath of their prolonged captivity and the mental and physical tortures that they had endured separately. There is also reorganizing and rebuilding reed security in its infrastructure, its organization and personnel while considering how to ensure the highest system of security and the health and welfare of all those involve with them. Many of the men have issues to work out and the women have all lost their homes and jobs to the year spent in hiding and now have to find a way for each to reshape their futures. But being Reed Security nothing goes smoothly or to plan with the ladies getting into trouble individually and as a group while the men keep putting their foot in it with their ladies and each other plus attract some very unexpected enemies. A lot of story in one book with highs and lows and some great laughs peppered along the way.

Reed Security has to rebuild after what they have been through. As always, the men think that they know best what needs to be done.
The hardest hit being Chance and Morgan, with Chance suffering badly from PTSD. He continually smiles and lets everyone think everything is fine, when it’s far from it.
The plan is to rebuild and they’re all going to live there while that happens, they as always get distracted working out what they need, but they all agree they need finances, but when the women find out they have some ideas of their own what’s needed. With the girls wanting to do something for them, they decide to open a shop, but they want to open a sex shop, which comes with its own problems.
The men at Reed Security take protecting their loved ones very seriously, but the state-of-the-art nursery and Ruby and Robert take things to a whole new level.
Chance and Morgan struggle with what they have been through, and when things get bad the team is there to help them.
An awesome catch up with the Reed Security Team and their women, after everything they have been through while also dealing with some serious issues.
Yet another superb book from Giulia Lagomarsino! I just love this series and all the characters! If you have not read about Reed’s Security you really have to start now. The storyline is superb, thrilling, actionpacked and entertaining. The characters are all wonderful!!
Held me captive from the beginning!

This is another well written book by Giulia. I love that this is an ongoing series. All of the characters from Reed Security are in every book, which I think is great.
This is Chances story about what he went through after coming back from being kidnapped and held captive for over a year. I loved Chance and what he did for the love of a good woman and her missing daughter.

After their building and the livelihoods of many of its families was destroyed, it is a long way to recovery and moving forward for many families of the Reed Securities team.
More babies are born – some rather unexpectedly, some couples spend some time apart, and far too many make really stereotypical mistakes trying to repair their lives and relationships.
Rocco is a lone gun no more – poor daughter of his is born Syphillis Clapp – thankfully renamed for his deceased mom and gran. Chance and Morgan have a really tough time, and some professional intervention and various types of counselling are needed.
Rehabbing the financial and security systems take time and re-thinking as well.
It is not an easy time of transition – yet exciting changes lie ahead!

This was a great addition to the Reed Security series. It offered insight and background into the rebuilding of the company, the men, women and relationships of all involved. The characters were evolving with the story line. I loved the plot and the point of view shown from each characters perception.

This book updated everything so well. We got to revisit with all the couples and met some new faces. I really helped tie up the loose ends for Chance and Morgan from all that happened there too. It touched on some serious things the people with PTSD deal with and it was good to see an author delve into it with a true reality of what goes on. Yet again this author stays true to the human condition and keeps with reality while still creating something that we can escape into by reading. And as always the levity added to several scenes through the hilarity they all get into (aka adult store “party”) was perfection! I laughed, I screamed, I teared up. I felt the whole array of emotions. Each book draws the reader further in to the Reed family until you feel as if you are almost a part of their story.
