Phantom Moon by Gaja J. Kos is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number four in this amazing series that I have loved reading and can not get enough of. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy, suspense and paranormal romance.

What a brilliantly well written book. Lotte is such a fantastic character, strong, sassy and snarky and whilst she is a new agent she is very good. She is a free thinker and that is quite a good thing. But what will her reaction be when someone she trusts and loves is accused of a heinous crime? Can she catch a killer and clear the name of Isa? The author takes us on a journey jampacked with action, intrigue and wonderfully crafted characters. The plot is well thought out and perfectly executed and the author’s writing style is easy to read and captivating.

Action-packed 4 ½ stars – As expected, the story is full of action. It delivered an exciting plot that includes mystery, steamy sex, supernaturals and badass heroine. Awesome read! [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
Our heroine is part of the supernatural law enforcement agency and is tasked with finding a killer in Berlin. But the evidence points to a friend, so now she doesn’t know where to turn.
This is book four in the series, but it works well as a standalone. You will be missing some of the background, but are the essentials are covered pretty quickly.
This is a paranormal story with a murder mystery vibe. The story is solid and well written, with a good strong plot and well developed characters that draw you into the story. I really liked our heroine who is tough and smart and knows not to take everything at face value. There are several twists and turns along the way which will keep the reader guessing and engaged in the story. Overall, I really enjoyed it and look forward to going back to the earlier stories.
Highly recommended.

This fourth book in the Lotte Freundenberger series by Gaja J Kos was a supernatural and paranormal reader’s dream as it had werewolves, demons, witches, and vampires, as well as half-bloods for good measure. At its heart, this was a very erotic romantic suspense thrill ride as one of the major characters, Lotte, a half-werewolf and half-demon, played sexually with both males and females. And of course, those encounters were described in vivid and erotic details by the author to add some spice to what otherwise would be a very dark and depressing story about the battles between the IRCA and the creatures practicing dark magic. The hunt for the truth and the battle that ensued made for a graphic and gory part of the story. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
Lotte was a werewolf who 9 months ago attained demon powers. The Leshy she chased now with her fellow agents was extremely powerful and cast illusions all around them to confuse and befuddle. After leaping through a blazing fire that wasn’t real, Lotte closed her eyes and pulled on the power of her other-sight, allowing her to “see” him, to sense his presence, even though confusing, distracting illusions still surrounded her. Her other-sight continued to hold true on his image. She approached and threw a demon-fire orb at the Leshy before he knew what she was up to and killed him. Turning to race to a shed that held 3 humans, a vamp, and a half-Leshy, probably the dead one’s son, she was attacked by all of them as she subdued the half-Leshy she was ordered to capture alive. The witch who would have helped her was delayed, so the vamp clamped onto her throat as she fought one-handed, still holdling the half-Leshy by the neck. By the time the witch arrived and tossed the vamp across the room, a bloodied Lotte sunk into darkness and let her werewolf body heal itself.
Lotte, still a rookie, was still settling into her life as an ICRA agent, responsible for capturing human and supernatural criminals, when Superintendent General Gabler singled her out and sent her to Berlin to locate a vamp serial killer, not just as part of the team but as the lead! This new case, however, is troubling to her personally. A vampire, or perhaps two, is killing victims, draining them of blood, ripping out throats, and carving magic-based symbols on their chest and abdomen. When Senior Agent Roth tells her who they suspect as the rogue agent responsible, Lotte cannot accept that — Isa Vogt was her mentor who would never do this. Lotte was brought into the case because they believed Isa would allow no one else but Lotte to come near her! Now Lotte is ready to search for Isa — while also looking for the real killer!
As expected, this author gives us another exciting book with a story line that won’t slow down! The characters are well-portrayed, and the mystery and intrigue keeps the reader fully invested in the fast-paced story. Grab your copy and see whether Lotte can prove Isa innocent and find out what is going on here! Corruption within their organization may go higher than they realize!
Lotte is hard at work dealing with what her boss gives her. Her latest didn’t go easily at all. Elena and Lottie are speaking at work when their boss Kaatz tells them he needs to see them both. Lotte doesn’t know who is scarier him or Isa. She doesn’t know why he could be calling them into his office. Lotte and Elena go for their meeting. They are told not to investigate a case if it comes to their attention, immediately contact him. Lotte doesn’t like to hear that, but she has to agree to it. Lotte knows in her gut something is off.
Lotte is still trying to get over Afanasiy after everything that happened. He has never tried to contact her and has stuck by his liege’s side. Lotte knows she will have to get over him being her mate. She decides she has to try to move on somehow.
She is being sent out to Berlin for the case she is not supposed to work. That someone high up personally requested she be there. When she gets there, not only she still has to contend with Raya sending random demons to trail her but her life She learns that she has to track down on the one person she never thought, Isa.
Lotte’s life is going to get a lot more complicated than she ever thought possible. Lotte will have to come to term with her feelings with Isa, Afanasiy, her job and her being half demon. There is so many great things going on with this book, I could not stop reading, I am looking to see where Lotte and Isa go from here and everything else in her life

I just love this series especially Lotte. She is written as such a strong heroine.
Overall the story is very complex with twists and turns with just enough steaminess to fit in with the story and detract from it.
When I read this series, it is constantly challenging my mind to solve the mystery. Gaja writes the story so well and reveals little clues just like peeling an onion. I am still surprised when the mystery is solved, but instead of being content that it is solved, I find myself wanting to read what is next in the saga of Lotte.
It was also great to see characters from the nightwraith series appear in the story.
Overall everytime I get notified by Gaja of a new upcoming book, I can hardly wait to get my hands on it.
Gaja Kos is one of my favourite authors and a no brainer to buy on amazon.
The world that she builds is believable and captivating to read.
A note to Gaja – please don’t make me wait too long for the next installment of Lotte.

In a gritty, action-filled world of supernatural beings no longer hidden from the world of “normal” humans, there are plays for power and powerful players. Trust can be difficult, if not impossible, and the heightened emotive charge in a supe may or may not heighten awareness of danger in highly emotional situations.
Lots of grisly action, supernatural politics, several characters from other parts of this world – encountered in other series or other books, various intriguing twists and side plots.

This is book number 4 in this series.
I never read a book in this series before and it said you could read it is a standalone. You can.
It does give you advance when you do read the other books first I think, so you know who is who around Lotte.
Lotte is a werewolf and part demon.
For her work she has to trace somebody she knows and for a crime she didn’t think Isa would have done. So Lotte plays along and goes searching not only for Isa but also for the truth.
A great read full of action.
A bit different since it is playing in various German cities, which I did like.
Lotte is a clever and smart woman who knows who she can trust and how to fight.
Really liked this a lot and I certainly want to read more from this writer.
