“Funny, charming, and utterly captivating! I devoured this sparkling read.” – New York Times bestselling author Annika MartinThe man I hate might be the first one to pluck my petals… get the point.
My excuse? I was too busy running my family’s flower shop and winning floral design competitions.
Suddenly that whole pesky virginity thing becomes a big deal when Jacob West walks back into my life. The boy I once loved. The same boy who humiliated me when he stood me up for prom.
This Jacob is no boy, though: he’s all man now—confident, charming, and so sexy my metaphorical blossoms are getting scorched. I can almost forget I’m supposed to hate him forever. Almost.
To make things worse, he’s my main competition now, since he took over his parents’ flower shop. If I give into this sizzling attraction between us, it could jeopardize everything I’ve worked so hard to achieve.
But if I’m not careful, he might not just be the first man to pluck my petals—he might also be the only man to capture my heart.

A great who did it novel.
I absolutely loved this series, was such a fun read!
Wonderful short story
Smart and charming read
Really great book, loved the humor and the characters.
This is a very fun book to read. The characters are bright, engaging and entertaining. It is similar to the way Sherlock Holmes solves cases, but with a taste of wit and charm.
Beautifully written, and the idea was great. It just didn’t do much for me personally. That has nothing to do with the book or the writing. It was still a great book, maybe I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind for it. That being said, I still think you should read this book, it’s a great romcom between Dani and Jacob. And the heat was off the charts for sure. I loved all the flower shop scenes they were very comical.
What a great book. I really liked getting to know this family. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.
Laugh out loud funny I really enjoyed the story
** spoiler alert ** Dandelion has a hard time letting people get close to her. James is struggling with helping his family. Their families are competitors. Will Dandelion let the past go? Will James find the answer to his problems?
I loved the fact that despite them supposed to be enemies, they were friends throughout their childhood. There were definitely times that Dandelion jumped to conclusions, but loved how she opened herself up in the end. I loved how James put himself on the line in the end when it came to proving to her that he loved her and wasn’t her enemy. Good read!
I loved Dandelion (aka, Dani) and Jacob’s story! There is sizzling chemistry from the first page to the last. I really enjoyed the witty banter between them and the downright awkwardness from Dani that seemed to spill out of her mouth like verbal diarrhea. One of the funniest scenes for me was the Shakespeare/Adele mash-up from a drunken Dani outside of Jacob’s place. The sweetest scene for me was when Jacob tries to make up for standing Dani up for prom. Kevin, Dani’s cat, quite possibly is my favorite character. He is sassy, and always there to protect his human. I wish Jacob would have talked to Dani about his problems instead of handling it the way he did, but I guess I can kind of understand his reasoning behind it. Secretly, I was hoping Kevin might go three-legged ninja on his ass! Overall, very cute and funny with some smoking hot chemistry! This is the first book in the Flower Shop Sister series. I’m excited to read the next one! I did receive an arc of this book for review, and this is my honest opinion.
Five blooming buds! This book has an abundance of laughs and is filled with quirky, sweet romance!
Sweet wee dandelions! When a book made you laugh a loud you know it is going to be a wonderful experience full of smiles and laughs and maybe if you are lucky, it will be also steamy as hell. All the flipping package. That’s exactly what Petal Plucker is. A peculiar tale that feels like sunlight and smells like spring time. A novel that held me hostage from the first to the last page. A light, sweet, funny read that have me swooning and laughing so hard.
Confession: Iris Morland is new a new author to me and thanks to my book friend Babel Reader I had the opportunity to discover her writing. Iris Morland’s writing is flawless and smooth. It is delicate like a blooming rose bud and sexy and steamy like a wildflower.
Dandelion and Jacob’s story is a hit to romantic comedy! An unusual and passionate journey between two friends who become enemies and then lovers touched by an explosive and all-consuming chemistry. They have a past story that didn’t end well for Dandelion who was left with a broken heart and some issues in the trust department. She had been unlucky in love. She is shy and has the girl-next-door going on her. Her passion includes creating beautiful and unique floral designs. She really have a “Midas touch with flowers” like her dad. But everything will turn upside down when Jacob, her teenage crush, walks inside her parent’s flower shop. The boy she crushed over is so long gone and replaced with a handsome and sexy as hell man. He came back home to help running his parent’s flower shop. Her only competition in town. There is some hate level between their parents because of the completion between their shops. Like Juliet and Romeo’s families! Unexpectedly poetic!
Their romance bloomed fast like a wildflower once the barriers brake. Explosive and wild. Forgot are all the inhibitions! Jacob’s redemption makes him impossibly attractive and swoon-worthy. At first his intentions were quite shadowy but his efforts to fix what he broke were undoubted. Dandelion awakes his possessive alpha male state and when they are together the passion and connection is scorching hot and incredibly real. Jacob is like the sun and Dandelion is like a sunflower. Once the sun awakes the sunflower, the sunflower petals open to reveal the chaste beauty hidden.
I’m beyond words to express how much I loved this book. This beauty has all my favourite tropes: childhood friends who become enemies and then lovers, count me in! The author created a whole unique and steamy romantic comedy that won’t only make readers laugh but take your breath away with all the attraction and sexual tension going on between Dandelion and Jacob, the main characters of this quirky fairy tale.
I undoubtedly recommend this book for everyone. Petal Plucker is an absolute punch for the romcom genre. It’s delightfully fulfilling and sublime. I’m forever addicted to Iris Morland’s writing. I can’t wait to read the following books in this wonderful series!
Iris Morland has a knack with writing books.
They are all great reads and this one does not disappoint.
The plot is well written and fun to read.
The characters are realistic and lovable.
Petal Plucker is a great book to read. The story between Dani and Jacob is easy to read and i’m curious for the next book.
This is my first book by this author but it will not be my last. I am so in love with her style and sass. She had me laughing out loud and believe me I needed to. The book is the first book and we get to meet Dani or Dandelion Wright. Yes her parents actually called her that. She is running the family flower shop. Then there is the flower shop down the street run by the West, now Jacob West. Dani and Jacob have known each other since Elementary school when Jacob’s parents moved into the neighborhood, opened their own shop and well let’s just say Dani’s parents swear it was to drive them out of business. I read that and snorted. Then I started reading about how she fell in love in elementary school and so many other times. Let’s just say this book is a giggle and a laugh but it also touches on some down home truths like coming home and watching after our parents. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and laughing my way happy.
This is an easy book to get into. I really enjoyed the characters. They’re funny and engaging. Dani’s old crush is back in town and the direct competition to her flower shop. Things are going to get all kinds of interesting when old feelings spark back to life when they’re in the same room. This book has a light fun vibe, but it also has some serious moments that catch your heart. This is the first book in the series and I can tell you I’m already hooked.
I hope there is a sequel!
To begin, one of the things I liked of this book was the tension and chemistry between the character. Also, liked the hilarious moment between them. I could easily related to Dani in this book. I felt so connected to this character and I love that.
This is a easy book to read. I read it in a few hours. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a romcom to spend a few hours reading.
I can’t wait to read about Dani’s sisters. I really love the glimpses of them in this book.
I enjoyed reading Jacob and Dani’s story! The author created wonderful characters who are believable and easy to identify with. I loved watching how they found their way to happily ever after. It is a book that was hard to put down….I highly recommend it!
A funny, charming and romantic comedy, this book had me in stitches to the point where a mouthful of coffee went down the wrong way! Dandelion, otherwise known as Dani, did not expect her old fame to come wandering into her family flower shop. He had broken her heart and despite being older and wiser, her heart still flipped over when she saw Jacob once more. One cannot help but love Dani and her sisters, although her parents were certainly a force to be reckoned with. Jacob has similar problems with his family, but I found him a little harder to like as he was alternatively charming and sweet and then devious, bordering on arrogant. This book is a standalone although it does open the way to the next book in the series, and it does come to a happy and satisfactory conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
