Don’t miss the classic tale from King of Horror and #1 New York Times bestselling author Stephen King, described by Publishers Weekly as “the most frightening novel Stephen King has ever written.” When the Creeds move into a beautiful old house in rural Maine, it all seems too good to be true: physician father, beautiful wife, charming little daughter, adorable infant son—and now an idyllic home. … home. As a family, they’ve got it all…right down to the friendly cat. But the nearby woods hide a blood-chilling truth—more terrifying than death itself…and hideously more powerful. The Creeds are going to learn that sometimes dead is better.

I would give it a five but I hate it when the animal is the bad guy
King always writes a really good story
I read this book when I was a lot younger and it scared me to death!!
Quite scary read, but was worth it.
Pet Sematary (the original movie) is one of my favorite King stories. So it’s only right that now that I’ve gotten a chance to finally read the book it has instantly become one of my favorite stories. As always the difference between the book and the movie is unavoidable, but after finishing the book I am able to watch the movie with a new outlook …
I haven’t read this book on this site, but it’s the first book I ever read by Stephen King. If it hadn’t been the first adult book I ever read when I received it as a Christmas gift way back in 1991, I would have read it much faster, I believe. I actually really just like reading print books, especially paperbacks, rather than reading online, even …
I love it
A really scary book. Read it years ago and it scared me today just as it did then. It is a memorable book !’
I love all SK books, but this was exceptional.
I read this story some time ago and it is very well written creepy book.
Only book in my life I could not turn to part two because it was very late and I was home alone and getting scared. I have read many many many scary books too.
Loved it.
Unpopular opinion: I find it romantic.
Without a doubt, this book will always be one of my favorites. The first time I picked it, I was in my early teens. I’ve reread it a few times since then, and it never gets old. Call me crazy, but for me, Pet Sematary is more romantic than scary. Gore, creepy atmosphere and undead… (I won’t spoil it) left …
It was an amazing book. It was scary and kept you on your toes.
Scary, Page-turner.
Love the book better than either movie based on this book
Actually too scary to finish. I love Stephen King and I have read a ton of his books. This was the scariest one.
This is not his best, however, that being said, I don’t think he writes bad books. I have to date always finished every King book I began. It is not that it is badly written, but I have preferred other stories he has presented.
I read this book when it was new, and it’s still a good and memorable scary read. Not much more to say, except it’s classic Stephen King.
This book has stuck with me more than anything else I’ve ever read. Absolutely chilling.
