Persuading the Billionaire is a quick, fun read. Both Alexis and Maxwell are well written, clever personalities. The plot is interesting. Alexis is alone in Hawaii on what should have been her honeymoon. Maxwell is there to consider buying the resort when his assistant is called away by a family emergency. Alex volunteers to be Maxwell’s assistant. Alexis teaches Maxwell he cannot just throw money at problems to fix them. She brings him out of his shell. Then her cheating ex shows up and tells Maxwell a bunch of lies and Alexis leaves. Will they be able to overcome this? You will have to read it yourself to find out.
Maxwell King’s solution to any problem is to throw money at it. But when his assistant Anna is called home unexpectedly for a family emergency while he is checking out a Maui hotel to purchase, Alexis Robinson, the woman he hit with his car door in front of the hotel steps in and offers to be his assistant for the week. Alexis is supposed to be there on her honeymoon, but her fiance cheated on her before the wedding. While spending time together, Maxwell and Alexis fall for each other, but then Alexis’ ex Gabe shows up and starts spreading lies to break them up. Maxwell was used for his money by a woman before and he is afraid of that happening again. This was a clean billionaire and his assistant romance. The island driver Jeff was a great character.
She was jilted so she went on her honeymoon alone. He is a billionaire in need of an assistant. Can they help each other? Will it stay as business deal? Will they realise they may be made for each other? See if they can

Boyd brings readers a clean billionaire romance that is engaging, yet easy to read.
This is a character driven romance with good dialogue and an interesting trope. I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance and billionaire romance genre.

This was a sweet story. Alexis had her engagement broken and she decides to go on her honeymoon by herself. What a blessing that turned out to be because she meets Maxwell and he is hot! She brings him out of his shell and she learns what a true man is like. This had all kids of drama and misunderstandings but I am glad in the end they work it out. I loved how Maxwell learned the true meaning of love and that money doesn’t buy everything. I loved it!

Alex was going to Hawaii to celebrate what should have been her honeymoon if she hadn’t caught her fiance’ cheating on her just before the wedding. She had cancelled everything else but she deserved some time away to recoup before heading back to Montana.
Maxwell was an incredibly successful businessman who was in Hawaii to decide if he wanted to buy the resort to add to his real estate portfolio. His first interaction with Alexis is not the best but she offers to be his assistant when his assistant has to leave unexpectedly. The more time he spends with Alexis, the more protective he becomes. Can he protect her? Can he trust her? Will his former girlfriend forever taint any future relationship?
This was an quick, easy read with good feels. If you are looking for a book where the good guy/girl wins and there is a happy ever after then this book is for you. I was given an arc copy of this book and I offer my review willingly.
3.5 Stars
I have enjoyed reading Eliza Boyd’s books. They are quick, sweet romance reads. This is the third book in this series. It was a bit too repetitive and predictable for me this time. I didn’t “feel” it. I also didn’t have the same urgency to get to the end as the other two books. Even though it wasn’t a favorite, it was well written with a good storyline. Book 2 has been my favorite of her books.

An enjoyable read as with all the books so far in this series. Hot, rich guys & girls with plenty of attitude.
This is about Maxwell who accidentally knocks Alexis over & tries to throw money at her. She is escaping her ex & asks for a job as his assistant. Of course there’s more to it than that especially when the ex shows up to throw a spanner in the works. A clean story with a kiss being the hottest thing they exchange.
A good book to escape into on that long awaited holiday.
