In Lee Child’s Persuader, DEA Susan Duffy places one of her female agents in the middle of a criminal enterprise. Things quickly go wrong and the agent is on borrowed time. Reacher arrives on the scene with the intention of freeing the agent and rectifying some issues from his past. A fast-paced read, vintage Jack Reacher.
I love the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child! I have read many of the books in this series and have enjoyed them all! If you have never read one, read any of them and you will be hooked!!
Lee Child’s PERSUADER is #7 in the Jack Reacher series. Reacher, ex-military cop, does not have to look for trouble. It finds him. AND Heaven help the villains because Jack Reacher is the badass of all badasses. A dead man pulls Jack into an import/export business that is definitely NOT legal.
I am not a big fan of violence, blood and guts, and body counts, but I love this series.
A classic Jack Reacher novel, always unexpected trouble he gets into.
Out of all the Jack Reacher books, this one and Echo Burning are my go to books when I need inspiration for my Jack Widow series. This one’s got revenge, plot twists, and violence only Reacher (and Widow) can deliver.
The first Jack Reacher book I read. I was hooked.
I found this book enjoyable. It kept my interest throughout.
In this 7th book the 1st chapter was so action packed as I read on this story became boring.
Persuader is just as formulaic as every other Reacher story. Despite the mechanical storyline and structure there is enough fun to keep the pages turning. Jack Reacher is a wondrous character who we will eventually tire of. That fatigue has not yet arrived and Child’s baby remains a pleasure to imagine.
All Reacher books are good. Formulaic, but well done
You expect violence when the main character is Jack Reacher, however this was just over the top and in my opinion disgusting. I read it to the end just to see how it ends but would not recommend this book especially to women readers.
Reacher does what he does. He gets involved in an interaction that is totally off the books. He has his reasons, as you begin to suspect with another story that keeps running parallel in his mind. He resolves both issues in a phenomenal way that helps “even up the odds” and he gets even. Criminal activities and no give and take –this one gets very involved.
My favorite Jack Reacher story so far. Fast-paced.
This was my ‘gateway drug’ into Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series. After this one I had to get the next one and then all the ones before those. I’m still reading about Reacher, but The Persuader still stands as one of my favorites.
Always a great read
this was the 2nd jack reacher i read. after reading it, i read every jack reacher novel available to readers of intelligent thrillers.

What’s not to like about Reacher?
