All’s fair when you’re in love with War.
For seventeen-year-old Mia Ahlström, a world ruled by order is the only world she allows. A lifetime of chore charts, to-do lists and study schedules have helped earn her a spot at Redwood State University’s engineering program. And while her five year plan includes finding her very own happily-evah-aftah, years at an all-girls boarding school left her … left her feeling woefully unprepared for keg parties and co-ed extracurricular activities.
So nothing surprises her more than catching the eye of Tyr Fredriksen at her first college party. The imposing Swede is arrogantly charming, stubbornly overprotective, and runs hot-and-cold in ways that defy reason . . . until Mia learns that she’s fallen for the Norse God of War; an immortal battle deity hiding on Midgard (Earth) to protect a valuable Asgardian treasure from a feral enemy. With a price on his head, Tyr brings more than a little excitement to Mia’s rigidly controlled life. Choosing Tyr may be the biggest distraction—or the greatest adventure—she’s ever had.

I liked this book and the characters. Starting reading the following books..
Wow, it is always great to find a new writer from which you love the book you are reading.
This is one of those times for me.
Why? Because I like a good action book about Norse gods and this is certainly one.
Mia moved to a new place for her study, sharing a house with three other girls.
On her first run she gets into trouble, but she thinks it was a dream.
But soon she finds out it is all reality, especially Tyr, the boy she falls for. He doesn’t talk much about himself. When Mia is there when he is attacked by a big bad wolf, she gets the explanation and discovers why Tyr doesn’t open up.
He is the Norse God of war! And that brings trouble to the ones he loves and now that includes Mia.
Great read, couldn’t stop reading. Making me order the next book in this series straight away to be delivered in paperback to my home. I want those books in my shelves!
I really enjoyed this book. I love that S.T. highlights a pantheon that has not received enough attention (sorry Thor movies) in the past. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
I have read this 3 book series. Great read.
Love the characters! Some very funny dialogue
I loved this book! I had a hard time putting it down. The story is unique and the characters are believable. The dialogue is realistic, and the story is entertaining. If I could give 10 stars I would.
A really good book with some fun one liners. Great to read a book without
X- rated sex and language.
I have not gotten to the end yet, but it won’t be long. Can hardly put it down. The story line emerges at the right time. Pre-guessing does not help. Engaging.
Great read
An addicting read!
I’m in love with Perfekt Order and Tyr and Mia. These two are absolutely fantastic and were made for each other.
S. T. Bende has become one of my favourite authors. S. T., please do not stop writing these amazing books about the Norse crew.
This saga is packed with love, adventure, excitement, laugh out loud moments, Norse Gods/Goddesses, monsters, romance and heart-stopping moments (like seriously, I cried so be prepared. Don’t say that I didn’t warn you!).
Perfect for readers of Norse mythology.
Love S.T. Bende! Her characters truly develop and come to life! So excited for every book she releases.
I got a 2020 version of the book with a cover which portrays Mia holding a glowing icy blue dagger. I didn’t find any dagger, sword or similar weapon in the book, hence the 4-star rating. There were cool SciFi-worthy laser-beam weapons, but the magical dagger was a no-show.
Despite the click-bait dagger element being a huge disappointment for me, the book as a whole was a great YA read. Clean language, funny twists and a nice dose of Norse mythology (the Midgardian Serpent was a totally unexpected and brilliant bonus!). I didn’t find Tyr and Mia’s age gap disturbing, because Tyr acted as a frat boy. The deities and other creatures sounded and behaved surprisingly immature, though it actually plays an advantage for younger readers, unlike other YA books aimed for older audiences. I also loved the vivid descriptions sprinkled here and there, Mia’s practical gumption and the hilariously comedic moments, which popped up frequently.
All in all, if you want an entertaining book for the weekend in the true spirit of YA fantasy and romance, Perfekt Order won’t disappoint.
I would have given this series more stars if they were available, as much as 10 stars, if you like the Odin.-Thor -Norse Gods type reading this is a must read
Not a real stinker but not a very well put together story either. The characters are pretty shallow and unrealistic. Not real great worldbuilding.
I really enjoyed this 1st one want to read the rest.
I really liked the characters and how they developed. I love a book where you become attached to the people you’re reading about!
Amazing story inventive characters.
I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to start the next one.
I didn’t finish this one because I just couldn’t get into it. It felt superficial and predictable. Maybe it had some twist later on, but not enough to hold my attention.
an excellent easy to read adventure/romance with well constructed characters.
