So full of Heat and Heart
This read had me tuned in and turned on.
Fate plays a huge part in life and Olivia, thankfully got out of a rut to find herself, due to a fateful afternoon.
The chemistry between her and Noah was crackling from the pages. Again fate takes over and what starts as fun ends up being taken very much deeper, but with obstacles so there are issues.
The whole journey touches on all emotions and the HEA is big happy sigh from me.
I received an ARC thru Net Galley and am giving an honest review.
“For once, Olivia, don’t be the good girl. Do something perfectly inappropriate, all because you can.”
I enjoyed Stacey Kennedy’s Club Sin series so I decided to check out her latest standalone. While one has nothing to do with the other, one thing is consistent in her stories. She writes a gentle but bossy man with a big heart very well.
Right from the beginning, I was on team Olivia. She’s been dealt a bad hand in life so far and deserves a win. All the years she wasted on her cheating ex can never be regained. There’s not enough tears, chocolate or wine to solve her problems, but she does have a best friend to listen and offer her a place to stay. Like the good friend that she is, not only is she helping her drown her sorrows, but she’s got a plan to cheer her up. Why not fulfill a fantasy or two by trying out this hot new dating app everyone is talking about? She gets the info and encourages her to step outside of her comfort zone and try something new. Playing it safe hasn’t paid off for her. Not with her fiancé, her house, or her job. So, why not? What has she got to lose that she hasn’t already lost?
Woo Hoo! What an adventure it was to join Olivia on her quest to find herself. I don’t blame her. I’d love to get lost in the arms of sexy Noah and then look for myself there later. Rinse. Repeat.
Perfectly Inappropriate took me a few places I wasn’t expecting and that’s a good thing. There are pain and loss but also empowerment and discovery. Olivia got lucky with the perfect man to introduce her to what she had been missing without evening knowing it. “He didn’t want only to wake her body up tonight. He wanted to erase the damage others had caused. The slight pain she could not hide.” Too bad he only has her for a week and then the fantasy will be over…
This was a great read with so much steam I needed a tall glass of water several times to get through it all.
Olivia has been feeling a bit lonely so she does something she never imagined doing, she signs up for a dating app. Now Noah on the other hand doesn’t have time to date so this app is perfect for him, it’s confidential and it cater’s to his darker side.
Noah and Olivia never expected their one planned week together to turn into anything more, but with their chemistry how could it not? This book is perfect for anyone that enjoys Steamy Contemporary Romances, Political Romances, or BDSM Romances.
Happy Reading!!!
This was okay for me. The writing flowed well, but the story was a little over the top for me. Olivia finds her fiancé cheating on her with her best friend. A month later, she meets Noah. It’s supposed to be a week long arrangement, with nothing permanent coming from it. 70% of the way through the book (maybe longer), she’s still crying over the incident and talking to her ex. She had no reason to still be in contact with her ex, except for the fact that she couldn’t go back to the house they lived in. But, she can be in love with Noah after 4 days? It was a little confusing for me. Also, after Noah and Olivia decide to go their separate ways, she tells Paige that she didn’t need a relationship, she needed to concentrate on herself. 3 days later she’s jumping Noah again. I would have enjoyed the story a little more if Olivia was written as a stronger character. The ending was sweet though.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
This Olivia & Noah story let me say its ONE-HOT story. They had chemistry thats sizzling HOT and off the charts, This story full of emotions some drama along the way. If BDSM your thing in stories this is for Stacey is the Queen of writing BDSM. Its a must read, I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley. Another awesome story Stacey.
Everyone deserves a Noah. A supportive, sexy, dominant that takes care of his woman.
Olivia is heartbroken, miserable at her job and living with her bestie because she can’t face the pain her house brings her.
They meet and have an instant connection. Not only does Noah excel at dominating Olivia, but he lifts her up and shows her how strong she is.
Olivia and Michael are in one of those arrangement type of things. Yes, one of those things. But Michael senses she’s different than his usual sub from their very first meeting. Even though they’re in an arrangement, what happens if (when) feelings develop? Michael doesn’t want to bring her into his political life. The kind of life no one voluntarily signs up for unless they’re the politician. And what of Olivia’s dreams? Does she dare take them on? What if Michael gives her the confidence to go for what she wants? But what of her heart? She knows she’s not fit for his world, so if her heart starts catching feelings, does she stick around for the inevitable heartbreak she’ll be sure to suffer?
I really liked Perfectly Inappropriate. I just wish it had been a little longer, full novel-length rather than novella style because Olivia and Michael make a great couple. I wanted them to be together as an official couple longer, but because of the short length, I felt a bit let down. But aside from that minor quiggle, I liked everything else about this story. It’s sexy, it’s sweet, and Olivia and Michael are great characters, both individually and as a couple.
Although Noah and Olivia were described as a “Dom” and a “Sub”, this really didn’t read as a “BDSM” book for me. There were some aspects of that throughout, but other than one scene, it was not a huge part of the story, in my opinion. That being said, I really did enjoy this book. There was an element of “insta-love” to it, but it didn’t really feel unbelievable to me. Noah was pretty dreamy – in fact, he and Olivia were almost too “perfect” (but not in a Mary Sue kind of way). There was some conflict with Olivia’s ex that got resolved pretty neatly, and I kind of wish she had a little more closure with him/that situation. Other than that ex situation for Olivia ad some of Noah’s misguided good-intentions, this was a very low-angst book. My one complaint is that for some reason, I felt that Noah as a Senator from New York didn’t quite read true for me. It wasn’t enough to take me out of the story, but something about it bugged me a little. That being said, I’d definitely recommend this book!
I loved Perfectly Inappropriate. After Olivia finds her fiancé with another woman, she meets Noah on an app for D/s relationships. I really like Noah, and how he dealt with his relationship and feeling for Olivia. Overall a great story, and quite steamy too!
This story is so frickin hot! Stacey is dependable when it comes to writing steamy and downright sexy scenes. Here domineering heroes and sassy and passionate heroines are always brimming with chemistry. Upon catching her fiance cheating with one of her best friends, Olivia is determined to move on. At the advance of her other best friend, she signs up for an online hookup app for doms and subs called Sir (#signmeUP). Who does Olivia match to but powerful politician Noah Grant. Steeped in secrecy and rules, Noah is entranced with Olivia from the moment they meet. But he only allows one week with his subs before he moves on; its best not to go in with untrue intentions. And right away it seems Noah may want more than just a nightly, kinky fling.
Noah prides himself of his ability to stay aloof with his subs. His main focus is his political career; its what he’s spent his entire life working towards. His secret life within the world of BDSM is his outlet from the stress. But Olivia is the biggest temptation he’s felt in a long time. Headstrong and yearning to learn more about her fantasy involving BDSM, Noah is her first and now only foray into the world. Nights of passion and days of temptation, these two discover a whole new world when they open up to one another emotionally.
Beyond just the passion between these two, this romance is a story about self discovery. Olivia discovers what true happiness can be and how she can find it within herself AND with a man. Noah finds that he biggest fear, that he could never have a happy wife and family because of his dedication to his career, is a myth. That despite his mother’s demeanor, the love his parents had is real and attainable. They were happy and Noah has a chance at the true happy ever after with Olivia. He just has to convince her of that. Another sexy and steamy romance sure to keep you warm this winter!

Perfectly Inappropriate by Stacey Kennedy is the story of Noah Grant and Olivia Watts.
Olivia is trying to get past finding her future husband cheating on her and moving past giving up an her work dream job. But when she should have it all from an outside look she doesn’t. There is something missing and she thinks she might find it in a dating app that connects subs with doms. Noah has a high maintenance life and work with no time for real relationships. But what he does make time for his getting the release he needs from life in the form of being a Dom. When he gets Olivia as his sub he knows there is something more to her and she brings out new feelings for him.
Ms. Kennedy’s writing brings the hot scene we need along with some emotional parts that add to a characters story. I try to grab her books when I can because I love them so much.
ARC received in exchange for a honest review….
Olivia is in the worst slump since she found her ex-fiance and her ex-maid of honor having sex in her bed of their future home. She has been wishing for a way to spice up her life and take back control of herself. Instead of letting the world walk over her. Luckily one night out with her bestie Lacie they over hear a conversation that might be just what Olivia needs. Thanks to outgoing Lacie Olivia gets her shot at him….I mean it. This is where the book really rev’s up. It’s so hot and fantastic your socks might blow off your feet!
Daring desires lead to more than they bargained for! Well laid out backgrounds drew me into these characters immediately, and the sexual tension and growing feelings kept me coming back for more. I loved Olivia and Noah’s story! Must be okay with BDSM to enjoy!
Graphic designer Olivia Watts can’t deny that she’s in a rut. Her fiancee cheated on her, so she kicked him to the curb and now her life revolves around a dead end job that makes her miserable and nights spent with her best friend who she’s camping out with because she can’t stand to go home to the house it all fell apart in. She’s not ready for a relationship again, but she is ready for some fun, so when her bestie nags her to join a sexy new app filled with prestigious dominants, she hesitantly agrees.
NY Senator Noah Grant is a busy man with no time for games or strings, so he loves the freedom finding his playthings online affords him. He is hesitant when he meets Olivia just because he can tell she’s not been in his type of world before, but he is so intrigued that he invites her to be his for a week. Only problem is, a week isn’t nearly enough!
Sexy contemporary romance with heart and humor – Perfectly Inappropriate is so much more than I expected.
Olivia is kind lighthearted, genuine and displays incredible strength. She was betrayed by two people she loved, but she’s determined to take back control of her life and find herself again. When Olivia takes a leap of faith and tries something totally outside her comfort zone, she never expected to meet Noah.
Noah is determined, stoic, and selfless – he’s a gentle heart in a strong soul. Having chosen a life that demands everything from him and he doesn’t feel like he deserves more – he gives everything but asks for nothing in return. But when Noah meets Olivia, she’s nothing like anyone he’s ever met and making him feel things he never expected.
Sometimes life begins and dreams come true when you take a chance and try something perfectly inappropriate.
Stacey Kennedy does it again! Noah Grant is my kind of hero—Perfectly Inappropriate is sizzling hot and super sweet, all at the same time!
Another captivating and sexy read by Stacey Kennedy! Just wonderful!
Fans of Fifty Shades, rejoice! This steamy fantasy-turned-reality tale will leave you panting for more.
I immediately fell for Olivia and Noah and loved that their story was different than what I’d assumed going into it. Noah is a politician who has sacrificed a private life for his political one. Olivia is shattered after finding her fiancé and best friend in their bed. As Olivia begins picking up the pieces, she knows she needs to find herself again. That’s where Noah comes in. They meet through a D/s app. PERFECTLY INAPPROPRIATE was heavy on their developing relationship and light on the D/s. But that doesn’t mean those scenes aren’t ON FIRE!! But I did enjoy watching their relationship blossom and I found myself getting more emotional towards the end than I expected. My ONLY complaint would be that I was left wanting MORE. They did get a very sweet epilogue which makes everything better
