Zoe is used to taking care of herself and has long ago accepted that if anything bad was going to happen, it was going to happen to her. So when she loses her job over something most bosses would probably be happy with and her life starts going down hill from there she doesn’t expect it to get any better. She certainly didn’t expect any help from the loud jerk next door, but then again she has … nothing to lose so puts her trust in him and hopes for the best. What she didn’t expect was the once in a lifetime opportunity that he offers her through an arrangement where they both benefit and no one is supposed to get hurt, but she should have known better because her luck has never been that good.Like most Bradfords, Trevor has a soft spot for food, but that’s about all. He leads a pretty straightforward life and likes to keep things simple and that includes his relationships. He wants the perfect woman and knows exactly what she’ll be like. So when he discovers much to his horror that he’s thinking about his frumpy little neighbor he decides the best way to get his head straight is by working her out of his system. He’ll keep her around, but only until he finds perfection.

Aww, Zoe & Trevor! Their little “arrangement” is quite steamy and very amusing. I love watching Trevor fall in love & not even realize it. Zoe is the exact opposite of what he thinks his perfect woman will be, and watching him fall into the web she’s totally unaware of spinning is so much fun! There are also a couple adorable pooches to chuckle over.
Also, I just really love the Bradford & the way they are supremely obsessed w/ food. I’m not sure how they afford to feed themselves since they’re all bottomless pits, but it’s a highly good time reading about!! : )
Loved it!! This book was just as funny as the first in the series. Only difference for me is I felt like the main male character, Trevor was totally a shallow jackass part of the time. OMG, he was a total jerk in some of his thinking like his stereotype of the perfect woman. It’s a good thing he redeemed himself. LOL! Poor Zoe, I kept thing Good Lord what else could go wrong and happen to this girl. She needs a hug like yesterday. This author’s writing style makes you think romantic comedy. Can’t wait for the next in the series. Will definitely buy.
One of the firsts books I read by RL Mathewson and I loved it!
I really enjoyed this book, it’s a sweet silly funny read. Trevor is a sexy doofus and Zoe is smart & down to earth gal, at times you want to really dislike Trevor, his expectations on the perfect woman/wife blows your mind and then Zoe walks into his life-lol. Love the secondary characters, it’s great when past characters are involved. All in all this book was very fun to read, loving this series so far.
This was entertaining, but probably not one I’ll reread over and over again. The men are just big, dumb egotistical eating machines. Funny isn’t my usual romantic preference. But I still enjoyed the read.
I can’t put into words how much I love the Neighbor from Hell series by RL Mathewson, Perfection being one of top 3 favorites of the series. RL nails writing a sweet, humor filled, blue collar romance perfect to read when you want to escape. The Bradford clan is a lovable, food obsessed, alpha group who love their women fiercely. Trevor and Zoe is always a delight of mine to read. I adore Zoe and her sass, she is one of the wittiest heroines I’ve read to date and love her a little more each time I revisit. Trevor is her perfect match-I love how protective and loving he is before he even realizes that he is in love with her. This story never ceases to make me smile, laugh, and swoon.
I haven’t read a series like this one before and I’m loving it. It’s hilarious . I’ve laughed so hard I’ve woken my daughter up I’ve had tears rolling down my cheeks from laughter at the antics’ that the Bradford boys get themselves into. This is the second book in a twelve book series. This was Trevor and Zoe’s story . A plain Jane who got handed a crappy hand in life but made the best of her circumstances as best she could . Being raised in the Foster system from the age of two made her strong independent and a warrior . Trevor a gorgeous well built hottie working for his uncle’s construction company but secretly harbouring what he feels is an embarrassing disability that to this day he still struggles with . Dyslexia. He is her landlord she his Tennent he’s looking for the perfect woman to eventually make his wife and she is just looking to be loved . They come to an arrangement that’s beneficial to both of them and once it’s run its course they go their separate ways but remain friends. That is until the pesky little thing like feelings get in the way and soon Trevor realises that the perfect wife was right under his nose all along.
I love this story. There are a lot of feels and the characters are awesome.
Trevor is a Bradford and for Bradfords, food is everything. When his neighbor and tenant, Zoe tries to take “his” food away he says something he never should have said. Trevor knew before he even finished saying them that he couldn’t take them back and wished that he could. Trying to make it up to Zoe and make himself feel better, he decides to help Zoe. Trevor isn’t prepared for how important she became to him while he was helping her. He also didn’t expect to want more so despite the fact that he was sure it didn’t mean anything, he offered her another “arrangement”. Too bad it didn’t work out quite how he was expecting.
Zoe has had a difficult life and just once, she would like something in her life to go right. Of course, things have to get worse. When Trevor offers to help, she is surprised but figures that she has nothing to lose. Zoe just has to hope that things will work out.
Trevor and Zoe are so funny. The way they start off is cringeworthy but as things progress, you can’t help but love them. The way things flow with them is cute. I’ve read this story several times and it never gets old. I definitely recommend reading this book. Or listening to it since that is great too!
I love everything about this book. This is my favorite of all the NFH series. Trevor and Zoe are characters I could keep reading about for many more books! R. L. Mathewson is a great story teller and has so much sarcastic wit that I can not wait for her next release
This book is a book I’ll reread u til the day I die. It’s one of my all time favorites. I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone, actually I already do. Lol.
Trevor has it in his head what the perfect woman is. And for what he has in mind, Zoey is definitely not the perfect woman. The perfect neighbor in the sense that she never complains yes, but that’s it. But, when one thing after another happens to Zoey and her patience is ready to snap. So when Trevor steals her food its the breaking point that finally makes her explode.
What starts off as a friendship of convenience, at least when it comes to food for Trevor, over time takes a turn.
Just like the first book in this series, I couldn’t stop laughing. I also found myself asking questions like, “what could a person do to be put on a band list for a food delivery?” And then, ‘what can a person do for an entire family to be placed on a banned list?’ Then there’s the question, ‘what could be the reason an entire family to be banned from a all you can eat buffet?’
Best book every love this series it’s a must read once you start you cant stop
How this author can having me laughing so hard I feel my sides start to ache, I have no idea, but she has done it again! I love the Bradfords and the….. well call them, lucky women who steal their hearts…… or maybe it’s stomachs!
Oh Zoe, she is a classic. Typical bad luck, heart of gold, and a at the start no back bone, but as the book went in she got the backbone to match. I loved her! Trevor had a way of being a jerk but deep down he didn’t mean to be that way. He covered up a lot with humor.
The plot was fun but had undertones of seriousness. It will make you smile and make you swoon, and make you root for the hero and heroine to pull through. The off the wall humor was one of the best parts, Trevor really thought high of himself! 5 stars #2OCCJD
Trevor amused the hell out of me, “with a sigh, he opened the jar and grabbed a handful of mini treats and held them up. “You’re going to keep your mug shut about the spider, right?” Wagging his tail happily, Toby barked. “That’s what I thought,” he said, tossing the dog a biscuit.” Once Trevor’s beast is unleashed there’s not going back, “where are you going?” Trevor suddenly asked, drawing her attention to the bathroom door where he stood naked and hard, she noted with surprise. “Get your a** back on the bed, Zoe. We’re not done,” he ordered softly as he ripped open a condom and slid it on.” Trevor is really a handset person sometimes his woman has to fight him off, “I’m not hiding anything so stop groping my a**, you pervert!” she snapped as she renewed her struggle, but thankfully was careful not to kick out at him, which his balls truly appreciated.” These Bradford men really are a hoot, “go,” he said, giving her another nudge that thankfully got her moving. “The sooner you get dressed, the sooner you can start fawning over me like a proper date. And remember, just because I agreed to go out on this date with you doesn’t mean that I’m easy. I expect you to do a little work to get me out of my pants.” I love this series.
