I had the perfect life.Getting paid millions to play the sport I love and spending most of my nights with all the adoring female fans, what more could I possibly want? I sure as hell didn’t want the baby boy someone dropped on me before running, leaving behind a note saying he’s mine. If that’s true, then I don’t have a freakin’ clue who his mother could be. Until I get the paternity test … freakin’ clue who his mother could be.
Until I get the paternity test results, though, the kid’s my responsibility.
The sleepless nights with a crying baby have me crashing and burning on the football field, putting my superstar career in jeopardy.
And suddenly, the only woman I want hates me with a fiery passion. I knew Callie wasn’t going to be easy to win over. Not when she blames me for her sister’s death.
Oh, and if this baby turns out to be my son, Callie’s determined to take him away from me.
Somehow I’ll have to find a way to prove to her that there’s more to me than my perfect spiral.more
Perfect Spiral is a heartwarming story with some humor, a touch of romance and love. I found that it is a well written story with some really interesting characters. The characters are strong and they really grow though the story which makes this a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Lane Hart brings her characters and the story to life. If you love strong women and adorable babies and men who show you a gentle side this is a story for you. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lane Hart has brought together all the elements of the perfect sports romance story. It has relatable characters, a fantastic, quick moving storyline, tender, emotional scenes and the joy of laugh out loud moments. Add to all this, a single football star in his mid-twenties and the element of surprise of a baby. This was a great afternoon read I’m glad I didn’t miss.
4 1/2 Stars
This sweet and sexy football romance was predictable but surprisingly well written and entertaining. Quinton epitomized the cocky jock who was on the top of the world. His world is flipped on its axis when he finds a baby in his doorstep.
Callie’s life is the flip opposite of Quinton’s as she is going through a painful divorce, her druggy sister has just overdosed, her own infertility and cheating husband dragging her lower than she’s ever been.
I liked the way the author brings these two together. Quinton man’s up and takes responsibility for his son that resulted in a drunken one night stand. He doesn’t make excuses and he doesn’t place any blame on any one. I liked that about him.
The fact that he is looking for someone to see past his star quarterback status and finds that in the older but totally sweet Callie was romantic and appealing. I also loved the way the author has him deal with Callie’s insecurities of infidelity by sticking by her and not giving up.
Not an original storyline, but well written and well executed. Good pacing and good relational buildup with very hot steamy scenes that focused on Quinton’s intense loyal feelings for Callie.
This one just kept getting better and better. A bit of drama with her infertility issues and other women wanting Quinton, but this just added to the story and enhanced the connection they had with each other.
Very enjoyable read!

I do understand where the trusting problem from Callie comes from. Especially with what she has been going through.
But almost throwing away what is between her and Quinten, come on woman.
I like the sparks between them and how they react on each other.
Good for him to step up and take his responsibility and grow up in the mean time too with big steps.
when you like a good sports romance with a bit of drama in it, this is your story.
I loved this book my Lane, I could not put it down. A Great read that i highly reccomend
Happy read to me. She was in a bad place with her husband and her sister. He was just being who he was. Little did they know that they would find happiness with each other. He got the stability that he really needed and she finally got what she wanted- a family.

Sportsmen just know the right buttons to push and with Quinton’s bigger than big ego he has something to prove that goes out of control and he finds himself out of his depth with all these new feelings.
But kudos to him he takes everything into stride and that is what makes him the adorable leading man in this gripping and emotional read.

Another good one by Lane Hart! Can be read standalone. Steamy sports romance with lots of chemistry between the characters. Fun and playful with drama makes for an entertaining read you won’t want to put down!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I would give this book a 10 if I could. This book is hot and unexpected. Callie turns away her drug addicted sister when she shows up on her doorstep pregnant. She doesn’t want anything to do with her. Quinton a famous football player discovers a newborn baby on his door step with a note. There is tons of hotness throughout this book. The is drama, sadness and definitely happiness.
This is a great book. I loved the unconventional start to Callie and Quintons relationship. Not many start with a baby that belongs to your sister and guy your dating. I loved all of Quinton friends, the Wildcats football team. They were funny and gave the book a family feel. I actually purchased the next book in the series ‘Delay of Game’ cause I wanted to keep reading about this group. I highly recommend this book and series.

Callie Clarke drives up to her cottage and sees her sister’s car parked outside. Filled with anger, she yells at her to leave. Her sister is a heroin user, but she tells Callie she is pregnant and has been clean since she found out. Despite Callie giving her a place to live and spending thousands of dollars on rehab, for the price of a fix, her sister had slept with Callie’s husband. She refuses to help her sister and believe her lies yet again.
Quinton Dunn is the starting quarterback for the Wilmington Wildcats. All he wants is for a woman to see the real him and want him for who he is. But right now, they all want his money, fame, and whatever else motivates them. Yet he keeps looking for that special one. At the knock on the door, he expects a lust-filled woman to be visiting him, as usually happens. Instead, he finds a car seat with a sleeping baby! He thought his team mate was pulling a joke, but Lathan was likewise shocked. A note said the mother thought it was Quinton’s, so she’s giving the baby to him to care for. The two guys freak out and call a female friend to find out what to do as the baby starts crying. Fortunately, their female team mate, Roxy, comes to their aid.
In trying to track down the possible mother, he remembers only one time when he got so drunk that he wasn’t sure how careful he always was. He tracked the woman to a bar and was given an address, which turned out to be Callie’s. She was divorcing her husband, had lost her sister to an overdose, and now Quinton arrived with another issue to be dealt with. Until DNA tests can prove who the parents are, the baby’s future is not clear. Both of them spend time with the baby while they wait. Will Quinton ultimately realize he has found that special woman who saw who he really was, not the football star the rest drooled over? Is there a chance at creating a family despite all Callie has been through? And what happens if the baby is not related to either of them?
This was a very good story. It was fast-moving and kept the reader involved. The strong emotions allowed the reader to see how each character felt and responded to the difficult situations. I thought it was very well done and I recommend the book.
Perfect Spiral is messy. Emotionally and physically messy. Quiton is a player on and off the field. Of course with all his playing, he ends up with a baby at his door step.
Callie’s sister is a user and turns up pregnant on her door step after cheating with Callie’s husband. But wait!
Spoiler
The baby is Quinton.
Quiton who also happens to knock up Callie.
Sigh. That’s way too much drama, especially since they’ll be raising two kids close in age with the same father and mothers who are sisters.
Don’t worry, there’s even more drama with another woman.
I love Lane Hart, but I really wanted Lathan’s story. I’ll keep reading.
Purchased

Quinton was a sweetheart. A humble, insightful guy who had to kiss a lot of frogs before finding his princess. Callie was ok as a character. I found her constant anger and bitterness understandable but tedious. Also her fixation on having her own child was a little much for me. Maybe because I didn’t have a strong tick on my biological clock. I was disappointed that there wasn’t more development with the older woman/younger guy troupe. A sexy read with a fast moving story line. Looking forward to reading Lathan’s story!

I love Lane Hart and her stories and this one did not disappoint. Poor Sallie has been through so much grief in her life but when the handsome Quinton shows up in her life she doesn’t know what to do. Quinton has been waiting for Sallie all his life, he just didnt know it. I love the friction and the development of their love, it is so relatable,
Brady, he just brings it all toghether!

I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review (even though I had also brought it but didn’t get round to reading it)
I’m I do glad it gave me a kick up my behind to carry on reading Lane Hart’s A Playing Dirty Sports Episode.
Here is QB Quinton Dunn’s story where he finds his life turned around more than 180° when he gets a very small package on his doorstep & brings stranger Callie Clarke into his life via the aftermath from her Sister Bianca who had not just help turn & tore her life & heart to pieces but in ways brought Quinton & the package into her life.
Here we see these 2 butt heads from the start until it starts to bring them closer together & it’s here we see how they’re meant for each other though they’re the complete opposites. And there’s different sides in their story where we see deep emotional aspects, stubbornness & feisty sassy’ness.
Come & enjoy their HEA…
