Fun sci-fi adventure and romance! Entertaining and steamy. Nadja and Olek have good chemistry; loved his protective nature. Olek is a sweetie and is patient. I’m going to go with a 3 rating because I didn’t connect with female lead, Nadja. Nadja can be annoying; I liked that she stands up for herself, but she comes across as rude and bratty at times. Too ungrateful and whiny, so I didn’t want to root for her. She’s on the run from her domineering father, who wants her to marry who he wants. She runs away and signs up to become a bride on a different planet. She thinks she wants the simple life with a simple husband, so when she’s chosen as bride for a prince, she’s upset. She acts like the spoiled princess she is, but luckily for her, Prince Olek does what he can to accommodate her. Despite the heroine, this is still an enjoyable read, and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.
Action packed, emotional roller-coaster filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and thrilling turns. Was a great read from beginning to end and so hard to put down. Really enjoyed this adventure.
love the Qurilixen World!!
This is book 2 in the series. Nadja is on the run from her home planet, leaving her father and an arranged marriage to one of his friends. In order to get away, she signs up to be a bride to a “simple man who will let her live her life quietly”. What she gets is not what she bargained for. While the scenes are hot, Nadja is not really likeable most of the time. Olek is super patient and so loving and Nadja treats him horribly for most of the book. You’ve got to feel for these Princes. Looking forward to the next book.

I did not read the first book in this series and I didn’t feel lost.
I liked the idea of this story but kept like/hating Nadja. I didn’t think Olek deserved any of the mess she dished out to him, considering the problems stemmed from her willingness to be honest. The story dragged a little for me. I also wonder if it was because I wasn’t feeling the heroine. Nadja had the hot/cold switching down to a science. I could understand some of Nadja’s anxiety when it came to consummation, especially with her history. I found their interruptions funny. Despite the eye-rolls from Nadja’s antics, she wasn’t always annoying and I liked many of the other characters and the story’s premise. The conflict in the story seemed too easily resolved though. It was very anti-climatic. I was expecting so much more from Nadja’s father. I also wanted his demise prolonged for the things he did to others. I usually don’t speak about the editing with books I get from BookSprout, but this book was previously published in 2004, so there has been time to edit. This book needs a better once or twice over from an editor. It wasn’t enough to be a deal-breaker for me, but enough that I noticed several places that were in need of corrections. I would still say this has some good elements to be a good read. I am interested in the other books. 2.5-3 stars

Good story, the characters are entertaining, the interaction and chemistry between them is wonderful. This story is filled with action and adventure. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
The Perfect Prince is the second book of the Dragon Lords series. In this one, Nadja is escaping an arranged (and definitely unwanted) marriage. She bluffs her way onto a Galaxy Brides space ship and ends up on the planet Quirilixen. Nadja hopes to be married to a small-town, unexceptional man; needing anonymity, to help to hide her from a vengeful father. But, the best laid plans can go chaotically awry, and that is the basis for this exciting story. Nadja’s husband, Olek, sounds like a dream come true. Will Nadja wake up in time to embrace the life that he offers? If you like steamy fantasy with well written characters and a tense, page-turner of a story, you’ll like this one!
This is the story of Nadja and Olek. They are fated mates and the book has action, steamy scenes and a happily ever after ending. Nadja is running from her father, the head of the medical mafia and an evil man. She comes across a ship for the galaxy brides and decides to sign up. When the reach the Qurilixen planet they meet the warriors who are looking for their bride. She is chosen by a prince though she wanted a farmer, someone who wouldn’t garner much attention, especially offworld. She agrees to the match and then finds out Olek is a prince. She’s furious and refuses to talk to him. That’s the least of their worries as the king of the Var is planning something nefarious for the new princesses.

This is a well-paced, entertaining dragon shifter romance with an intriguing plot that has splendid world building with outstanding scene descriptions. The characters are interesting & the female character is realistically flawed to a certain extent but they entwine quite well with each other.
It is about: a young woman (Nadja Aleksander) was always kept under her father’s (Doc Aleksander) very strict control but she was definitely not impressed with the man (his associate & friend, Doc Hank) whom her father has chosen for her & promptly escapes. She boards a galaxy bride ship & lands up on a planet (Qurilixian) where she is later chosen by a dragon shifter (Prince Olek)
There is: a controlling father, a front for the Medical Mafia (Alliance for Planetary Health), Draigs (dragon shifters), Vars (cat shifters), fated mates, adventure, action, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, drama, secrets, threats, danger, conflict, violence, death, deceit, manipulations, rebelliousness, escape, memories, loneliness, attractions, anticipation, confusion, misunderstandings, prejudices, unexpected friendship, advice, abduction, ultimatums, contentment, some steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this book & would recommend it.
Olek had the best personality. I loved his humorous side as well as his serious side, and when he was hurt, I actually hurt for him! Nadja was vulnerable in some ways but but brave in others, and the perfect foil for Olek in this story. She found her strength in herself and became Olek’s perfect mate.

This is an entertaining story that quickly drew me in and kept me turning the pages. I really enjoyed following along with the characters and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
Escaping a marriage arranged by her father, Nadja Aleksander finds herself aboard a space ship headed for planet Qurilixen along with other Galaxy bride candidates.
This second adventure in the Dragon Lords series has adventure, passion, intrigue and a young woman struggling to escape her father’s oppressive grip. Along the way finding her fated love in the form of shifter Prince Olek.
A good story that is well written and deserving of all its glowing reviews, of which I now add mine!
Thoroughly enjoyable read and highly recommended. HEA

If you want a story to get lost in this one and the others in the series are well written and full of emotion and love. This book has an emotional tug-a-war on what she wants and what she believes will protect those she loves. It is best to read the series as you get different points of view of the same scenes. Michelle gives you a world that is well written and makes you want to explore. I am glad there are more books in this world and we can explore as we read. This book can be read as a stand alone but to get the best out of it, read it as part of the series.

Such a good read! Nadja and Olek have a lot to overcome and wow, do they ever!
Nadja is on the run from her maniac father. She finds herself passage on a Galaxy Brides ship and during the Breeding Festival is matched with Olek. Both are strong personalities and they clash as much as they click. Sparks fly, tensions rise.
I love this world! Somebody find me a dragon!

Wow! The 2nd book is even better than the 1st & that one was AMAZING! Usually a series goes forward in time but Michelle M Pillow’s style with this is so much better. It is told from the POV of a different prince & bride in the same time frame as the 1st book. This is the story of Olek & Nadja. As soon as I saw her name I remembered her from the 1st book & was instantly hooked. The same time frame series is very intriguing & refreshing to me. Michelle M Pillow even goes darker in this book which is a nice change of pace.
Olek & Nadja’s story is full of steamy passion, frustrating stubbornness on both sides, Nadja freeing herself from her whole life of oppression, standing up to Olek about what she truly wants & pure love. As a side note: the royal parents are hysterical.
Even though this book is 2nd in a series, it can be a stand alone if you choose. Either way, it is a must read!
Michelle M Pillow is one of the best authors of our time!
Love this book. Very interesting read. Like every book I have read by Michelle M. Pillow, I couldn’t put this down. I love how she showed the different family dynamics with Nadja and Olek. I also love how Nadja loved her father even though he hurt her.

Nadja is escaping from her cruel father and the horrible arranged marriage he is forcing on her. She sneaks out of her “suprise” engagement party and onto the first shuttle she finds. It’s a Galaxy Brides Corporation shuttle that is short a couple of women so they are glad to sneak her on board. Once she figures out where she is going, she figures her father will never find her there and hopes to find a farmer or a miner to marry. She longs for a simple life.
Prince Olek is thrilled he has finally been blessed with a mate. He is hoping for a sweet wife and companion to share his duties as the ambassador of their kingdom. Not exactly what he gets!
There are lots of twists and turns, misunderstandings and danger in this crazy journey to love!

Nadja, from afar, looks like a pampered princess with the world at her feet. But up close she is trapped in a golden cage. Every minutia of her life, including what she eats, wears and who she meets is controlled and monitored by her father. Her father is a powerful doctor in the “medical mafia” and when he announces that she is to marry his colleague, she realises that the time has come to flee.
Nadja ends up on the Galaxy Bride’s ship with Morrigan from book 1. Nadja wants a low-key groom, a miner, farmer or local doctor. Nothing glamorous that will be broadcast on the news and alert her father to her whereabouts.
Prince Olek, 2nd of the 4 princes, is an ambassador. He knows that having a wife would benefit him in his duties and dealing with offworlders. His crystal selects Nadja and he is ecstatic with its choice. He sets out to woo her and Nadja knows that if and when she removes Olek’s mask she is bound to him from that time on. She understands their traditions and knows he can’t say too much but believes he is a simple working man.
The feathers fly when Nadja realises that he is a Prince, she believes she has fled from one cage to another. She believes that being married to royalty will bring her father to her doorstep. There is much conflict but also passion between Nadja and Olek. I also loved the rapport between her, the other princesses and the Queen. It was very much girl power LOL. The worst happens and her father finds her but will she capitulate or will she fight for her freedom?????
As with other Mandy books, this overlaps with other books in the series so that you see the same action from different perspectives. I took to Nadja a lot more quickly than I did Morrigan. She seemed to just make a niche for herself with the locals and acclimatise that much better. The final set piece in the show off between herself and her father was wonderful and I would have been disappointed if Olek removed the problem for her.
