A hospital manager with a heart of gold. A soldier with a dark secret.Lillian’s life is… dull. The highlights of her day, other than her skinny hot chocolate, are the hunky guards who work in the military wing. It’s classified and way above her pay grade, but she can’t help feeling sorry for the hollow-eyed men and women they shuffle past reception. Then a late night emergency is wheeled in, … emergency is wheeled in, his abdomen shredded and covered in blood. They’re not an emergency room but she can’t turn him away and risk a death on her hands.
Unable to get the handsome soldier out of her mind, Lillian sneaks into the restricted area and finds herself thrust into a world where nothing makes sense. A world where men aren’t always men, the dead walk, and her handsome soldier is way more than he seems…
Her scent calls to him. She’s his. Now he has to keep her alive.
Jack Harper was a soldier, a good one… then the Project decided to play god. Now he has permanent anger management issues and a monster living inside him. Used as a weapon, he’s been waiting for a chance to strike back. But the Project are onto him.
Ruled unstable, a kill order is passed down on Jack and his squad and they are transferred to St.Margarets. Play-things for the head docs until a bullet to the back of the head deals with them for good. But Jack isn’t going down that easily, not when the delicate scent he’d been waiting for all his life wraps around him.
The delicate human woman is his mate. And he’ll fight anything the Project throws at him to save her.
Monsters do exist…and they’re the good guys.

loving this series! very original and fresh look at shifters and vamps! will be getting the next book asap! highly recommend to paranormal fans and urban fantasy readers!
This has everything zombies, vampires, werewolves and a little romance, little little romance, if you are looking for a lot of action this is the book for you if you are looking for smoldering sexy times this is not the book for you.
Perfect Mate is unlike anything I’ve read before. I’ve never come across this story mixture of military, werewolves, vampires, zombies, and loads of action. It’s tough to rate because on one hand, I admired the originality, was sucked into the story, and loved the romance story. On the other hand, being thrown into the non-stop action right from the start feels a bit like I walked into the middle of a series and not so much the beginning of one. In fact, the whole book takes place in one night — a nearly non-stop battle sequence.
The story taking place in this book is a battle for survival in a rebellion against ‘The Project’ a government backed, covert military operation that created viruses for lycanthropy, vampirism, and reanimation and has been subjecting its members to these viruses — essentially killing them and changing them into creatures left to struggle against humanity and base beast instincts.
The creative and inventive perspective of a scientifically created virus being used by the military to create the monsters we see in movies was a lot of fun. Although the story is less character driven and more action-packed, I did like the characters in this story. The romance in this book is so sweet, I only wish we got more of it! I think I would have liked to see this be a series surrounding the main pack and characters we saw in this book or follow Lillian and Jack all the way through, so that their stories had a more of a chance to expand.
EXCELLENT! This was an EXCELLENT story. Both the protagonists and the antagonists both drew you completely into the twist and turns of their lives. There ,p copious amounts and both
Very enjoyable story, flowed very well.
fast and furryous – straight action with claws and tooths and some smiles – just perfect entertainment to howls to the moon

Review:
I liked the sound of this book, it was intriguing. The plot was oke, the setting was good. I do think it should have been a longer book. It all went really really fast. Like the entire book takes place in like 2-3 days or something like that. I think it should at least be a couple of weeks, or months.
That way I could really be sold on the mc’s love for each other.
There’s allot there that works, I just think the autor could have taken the story to the next level if she took her time.

Oh wow this story had me in its grip from the off.
Shifters, vamps and zombies are being genetically engineered as part of a secret military project and as usual the humans are the ones thinking they are completely in control of the ‘monsters’ they’ve created! Err, think again.
I loved this story and easily became invested in the characters, the narration is good, the writing is great, I wasn’t ready for it to end and really need to grab the next book, I have to see how things play out between Darce and Antonia.
I really enjoyed this book. So much so that I bought the next two books in the series.
