She’s the matchmaker…he’s her sexy client. What could go wrong?
L.A.-based matchmaker Fia Martin has a tough competition: Find the perfect woman for arrogant, handsome TV-host Dylan Chambers, before her rival, Connie Birnbaum, can do it–on national television. If Dylan declares her the winner, Fia’s business will skyrocket.
Dylan is picky. He’s smug. He reminds Fia that he’s only doing this competition at all because he lost a bet to his TV co-host, and he doesn’t believe in true love. He’s polite on dates picked out by Connie, but the ones Fia sets up? Those seem to end in complete disaster. And every time she tells him to behave, he flirts with her shamelessly.
A stolen kiss turns to a night of unbelievable passion, but Fia knows that Dylan’s not interested in anything more than a fling. How could it mean anything when he’s still going on dates for the TV challenge like nothing happened?
When Dylan chooses Connie’s company for his final dream date in Hawaii, to a woman who looks perfect on paper, Fia figures she can pretty much kiss the trophy goodbye. The problem is, she won’t just be losing the competition. She’s about to lose her heart, too…to the one guy who’s completely unavailable.
If you like enemies-to-lovers books with dirty, sexy alpha males and delicious kink, you’ll love Perfect Match!

Alexis Alvarez never fails to deliver on the heat that often involves a healthy dose of stinging pain along with plenty of sarcasm. So being a big fan of anything created by Alexis Alvarez, I was ready for romance to bloom amid sounds of skin slapping, stern commands, and lots of belly laughs. It didn’t take long for the sexual tension and general dislike to build between Fia and Dylan. Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite types of romance and Alexis delivers in spades with these two in Perfect Match.
Fia Martin has dedicated the last few years of her life developing a business based off of a computer program that she made which helps people find true love. When she is offered a spot on a Morning talk show to promote her business Perfect Profiles and match up local heartthrob celeb Dylan Chambers, little does she know the chaos and desire that would ensue. Fia’s sarcastic wit kept me doubled over with laughter and the increasing insults that volleyed back and forth between her and Dylan along with the fireworks that detonated every time they were in each other’s presence kept me glued to my seat and wanting so much more.
Dylan was everything a reader could want from a hero with his commercial worthy smile, movie star good looks, and unmatched creativity. Alexis kept me guessing what was going to happen next with this unpredictable and swoon worthy character. While he wasn’t my favorite at the beginning, as I got to learn more about the great man underneath the surly attitude, I was soon cheering for Dylan to find his perfect match.
Alexis Alvarez delivers another blush inducing read that keeps a reader amazed with Alex’s sense of humor and her amazing character development. I highly recommend Perfect Match for a romance that is sure to cause bouts of laughter and plenty of heated moments. Alexis still continues to be one of my favorite authors and never fails to tantalize and entertain with all of her stories.
I stopped reading this at about the 55% mark. I’m not a prude, but don’t enjoy the whole hurting someone as a turn on. The premise of the story was cute, which is why I decided to read this, two matchmakers competing to set up a morning show hottie and one of them falls for him. The story started to drag for me then they brought out the flogger, I decided that life is just too short to continue reading something I am not enjoying. I didn’t mark this down for the bdsm content, but because it just really dragged.
One thing I love about this author is how I always learn something new. This time I was transported behind the scenes of a live morning television show, learned the inner workings of a dating service, and finally, glimpsed into the mind and soul of a sculptor.
I think it takes a special talent to tackle the enemy-ish to lovers genre. You may start out hating the Hero, as I did. Dylan is rude, cold, defensive, and difficult. The only thing going for him is his sinfully good looks. Fia, on the other hand, is warm, funny, smart and beautiful. Earnest in her desire to launch her small business onto the next level, she agrees to showcase her matchmaking services on a morning show hosted by shark-girl Chelsea, and you guessed it, Dylan. The twist comes when Fia has to compete with an admired counterpart to find Dylan a date. As Fia and Dylan are thrown together to discuss the show, Dylan slowly reveals himself. The more he trusts Fia, the more he confides.
But beware of the sharks circling!
And so while navigating the shark infested waters, Dylan and Fia find common ground; a bond over illicit passion is formed. And what fiery passion it is! Spankin’ hot! But passion will not mend the doubts and hurts caused by insecurity and misunderstandings. Fia and Dylan have some soul searching and self examination to do before they can give of themselves. I loved this part of their journey, the self awareness that came to them both as they were forced to figure out what they both wanted out of life, love and career. Great character arc, loved this book!
Perfect Match by Alexis Alvarez
This is matchmaker Fia Martin and TV-host Dylan Chambers’ story.
Fia and another matchmaker are in a contest to see who can find the best match for Dylan where the results are aired on a TV show.
This story is full of humor, twists, sexual tension, and surprises. I enjoyed Fia and Dylan’s story.
FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
