Perfect Love Story by Natasha Madison is the first book in a brand new series!
This novel is not only an emotional story but it’s also a story of redemption and finding love again after being burned in the worst possible way. Natasha Madison now owns all my tears! Holy hell was Jensen and Hailey’s story an emotional roller coaster!
I started reading this novel last night around nine knowing damn well I shouldn’t be starting one of Mrs. Madison’s novels so close to bedtime. We all know that starting a novel this late is the result of a sleepless night. That’s exactly what happened. Perfect Love Story is an all-consuming novel that grasped my attention from the very first page and didn’t let go until the very last. I couldn’t put this book down!
Perfect Love Story is told in two point of views (Hailey and Jensen).
Hailey is a woman in love and heading towards the happily ever after she’s always dreamed of….Until reality bitch slaps her in the face. It’s crazy how one phone call can change the chorus of a life. Not only does Hailey find out her husband has died in a car accident, but she also learns the man she thought she knew and loved was good at hiding lies and living secret lives. My heart legit broke for Hailey, I cried twice before I even reached chapter 4, Her introduction is so freaking heartbreaking.
Jensen met the love of his life when he was in highschool. But a few years of marriage and a baby girl later wasn’t good enough for his Mrs’s. Now Jensen finds himself the sole guardian of his baby girl Mila and a man with a huge chip on his shoulders when it comes to love. That is all about to change though, when Jensen finds out his grandmother rented the house he built for his ex-wife to Hailey and her cousin.
I loved the whole dynamic of this novel. The fact that Hailey and Jensen absolutely disliked each other and the feelings they were having towards the other in the beginning of this novel was a great start to their ‘Perfect Love Story’. Then watching both of their walls slowly fall down and witnessing the fragility of finding love again but most importantly learning to trust in another again especially given the fact that these two were both hurt…in the WORST possible ways was something to be admired. Then you throw in an adorable little girl who melts hearts with just a simple glance and this story is in fact the Perfect Love Story.
I highly recommend this novel to everyone that is looking for a great emotional and true to the heart love story!
Yet another side to the writing of Natasha Madison… I’ve read all her books and followed her right from the 1st book (which I loved) and this book and now series is totally different than the other two or three styles of writing that she has shown us in her previous books. This was new but also very good and I enjoyed the ride that she took me on in this story. Not the humorous side, nor the danger/angst side – this book takes us down the emotional journey of what happens when your life falls apart and you have to start over again. What happens when everything you thought you knew is ripped apart and you have to make your life and reality over again?! Is there love and healing after heartbreak – of course and this story explores that in a lovely, sweet story with many new characters that I am just eager to get my hands on! Can’t wait for more!
5 Star review of Perfect Love Story (Love #1) by Natasha Madison
From the start of this book I was anxious. What would you do if you find that everything you believed and the life you had led was based on a lie? That is the position that Hailey finds herself in when her husband suddenly dies and her answer is to move to the country next door to Jensen.
When Jensen finds himself suddenly single with a daughter, Mila to look after he finds himself struggling. He is not the most pleasant man to have around, in fact he was a jerk.
The last thing either Hailey or Jensen want is to dive in to a new relationship. However neither of them count on a determined 4 year old.
What a beautiful love story this book turned out to be. Jensen was such an alpha male, strong and extremely protective., even if he acted badly initially.
I fell for hard for all the characters in this story. Such was the depth and strength of Natasha Madison’s writing and her ability to draw the reader in.
The camaraderie between Hailey and her cousin/best friend Crystal was funny and loving; I loved the relationship they have.
Perfect Love Story evoked so many emotions within me that I am not sure I can express my feelings clearly. I was invested in Hailey and Jensen from the start.
Perfect Love Story was at times like riding an emotional roller coaster; I laughed, I cried, I swooned. It is a second chance at love story, of overcoming the past, learning to trust again, full of hope, determination and one which I loved from start to finish.
.
YES YES YES
Bottom line, this was a great read by Natasha. It was so different from her previous books, but different in the best way possible. She went a different direction from the cocky, sexy jocks we’re used to admiring and swooning over. Instead, we get a sexy, sweet, honest, lovable, hot as fu@$#…. SINGLE DAD! Yes Ladies, you heard me right. Trust me, you do not want to miss out on this beautiful journey with Jensen and Hailey!
You will be captivated from the very first chapter by the curve ball that Natasha throws our way. One can only imagine what Hailey is going through after this tragedy. Natasha does an excellent job of throwing us into the story, you can’t help but go through the roller coaster of emotions that Hailey is experiencing. Just when you’re coming up for air, she throws us another curve ball that is hard to even fathom. Through it all, Hailey is such a resilient, lovable character.
Jensen Walker may not be the most lovable character from the start, but the moment you see him with his spunky, cute daughter, you know there is more to this man than meets the eye. Let’s face it, he’s not hard on the eyes either. Like Hailey, Jensen has been dealt a rough hand in the game of life. His tough exterior is his way of keeping his heart safe and in one piece for the love of this daughter. Give him a little time to soften up because once he does, you will be a smitten kitten where Jensen is concerned.
I loved Jensen and Hailey’s story. I loved their journey in getting to know one another and trusting again. We get sweet and sexy, fun, loving, honest, the list goes on and on. Not only does Natasha give us two very lovable characters in Jensen and Hailey, she has set us up the most fabulous supporting characters. I loved getting to know all of them and cannot wait who to see who we’ll get more of in the rest of the series. I know changing things up can be nerve-racking, but I’m here to tell you that this series will be a hit. Bravo Natasha!
What a beautiful book of finding true love after enduring the worst. A story of thinking your life is one way when in all reality it was nothing like it was. Natasha Madison just keeps getting better and better. Phenomenal writing!!
Hailey thought she had it all until her husband died and after finding out that he was already married and living a double life. She hits rock bottom and needs a new start. She packs her stuff and heads out to stay over. Never thinking that her prefect love story was about to begin.
Jensen Walker is a single Dad of the cutest 4 year old Mila.
Jensen is the owner of Walker Construction. After having his life upended four years ago, he has one goal, to make Mila happy.
When these two meet the sparks fly even though they hate each other. But as these two heal and these two drop all the walls a beautiful love story happens. This book will give you all the feels and more. I can’t wait for the next one in this series.
Highly recommended.
Natasha Madison does it again, she has totally captivated me with something completely different and beautiful.
When two lives are irrevocably changed, can they ever believe in love again?
Hailey has the unthinkable happen to her, but the death of her husband is only the beginning. She needs to leave her old life behind and start again. She does this by moving away with her cousin to the beach. Can the ocean breeze and sand between her toes open her heart and make her live again?
Jensen has had the ultimate betrayal happen to him. Thankfully he has his daughter to get him through the worst of it. But the reality is that he is still a very angry man. Can someone moving into the home he and his former wife use to share finally deplete his lingering anger?
When Hailey meets Jensen and experiences his lingering anger, she feels a spark she never thought she’d encounter ever again.
Enjoy this emotional, funny at times, slow burn read. As I said it’s something a little different but still so amazing from this talented author.
Natasha Madison has once again given us another dazzling story. This is the tale of love, grief, redemption, and forgiveness. Hailey and Jensen both experienced loss. One is torn apart while the other is bitter. What happens when these two strangers path’s cross? Can Hailey get the closure she needs to move on? Can Jensen heal his heart, an open it up to love? This was a beautiful and emotional book that made my heart flutter. It managed to make me cry while giving me the feels at the same time. Perfect Love Story was more than perfect. It was intoxicating, engaging and heartwarming. The writing was elegant and the characters are endearing. This is a must read for romance readers.
This truly is A Perfect Love story! Hailey and Jensen have both had their hearts broken, this is their story of finding love when the least expected it. Jensen is a single dad to the most adorable 4 year old Mila. He thought he was living the perfect love story, marrying his high school sweetheart. Life is sometimes not what it seems. Hailey learned that when her husband of six months dies. As with all of Natasha Madison’s books, this had all the feels and I was so happy they got their HEA!
Imagine thinking you were happy and in a long lasting relationship but then one day your whole world was turned upside down. Now how can you trust in love? This book was incredible. Natasha Madison will rip out your heart, make you cry and question humanity. Then she manages to turn that around into a beautiful story about two people finding the perfect love. This story will suck you in from the very shocking beginning till the crazy ending. There’s angst, heartbreak, healing, off the charts hotness and love. This book was finished in one setting and left me foaming for more. This is a wonderful start to a new series and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Kiddos Natasha Madison for writing a book that crushed my heart and put it back together again.
This is one of those books I really didn’t want to put down. I found myself thinking about the characters whenever I wasn’t reading and eager to get back to their story.
Hailey has been happily married for the last six months. When her husband unexpectedly dies, her entire world comes tumbling down. I loved Hailey. As she goes through a multitude of emotions, she became a real person to me. I found her very easy to relate to. Even though she’s hit rock bottom, she’s determined to get back on her feet. There’s an underlying strength in Hailey that I really liked.
Jenson comes across as a bit of a jerk when he first meets his new neighbour. Left alone to bring his daughter up has left Jenson closed off and at times bitter. The thing I absolutely adored about Jenson is his relationship with his little girl. Not only is she a sweetheart but she brings out a softer, kinder, more likeable side to broody Jenson.
There isn’t anything about this story or the characters that I didn’t love. I’ve been a massive fan of Natasha Madison since reading her debut book and this book was everything I was hoping it would be. The characters are brilliant and there’s plenty of them been introduced, the story had me hooked and it’s got the perfect balance of angst, emotional turmoil and second chances with some banter and an unforgettable love story thrown in.
Well the Queen of all the feels has done it again, what’s that sound? Oh just my heart shattering into a million pieces and my sobs as I go through every possible emotion throughout this beautiful love story!
Every single story Ms Madison just keeps getting better and better, and with this one she once again blew me away! This story has everything, heartbreak, ugly crying (that’s just me) laughter brought through the side characters, a strong woman overcoming something so horrific, it would break most of us and a single Dad, who comes across as an a-hole in the beginning, but is really just him guarding his heart. You couldn’t ask for more!
The story begins as our Heroine, Hailey, gets a call that we all dread when our loved ones leave the house, her husband has been killed in an accident, but as events unfold, it turns out that’s not the worst thing to happen that day, as she gets the news that her life with Eric was all a lie.
Jensen, our hero, is blissfully in love, married to his high school sweetheart and has just had a beautiful baby girl with her. To round off their happiness, Jensen has built his wife her dream home for her Birthday. He goes home to meet her, only to find she’s left him and their daughter and run off with his best friend, which leaves Jensen angry, bitter and alone.
Hailey and her best friend/cousin decide to embark on an adventure across the country to a beautiful beach house which they have only seen pictures of, to start fresh. When they get there though, things are not as they seem and when Hailey meets the owner, Jensen, sparks and insults fly as he wants her out.
Hailey is by far, my favourite of Natasha’s heroines so far, she’s so strong after what she’s been through, but instead of giving up, she pulls up hers socks, packs up her life and moves on.
Jensen, I didn’t Love immediately, I liked him, and he’s a great Dad, but the way he treated Hailey in the beginning made me have violent feelings towards him! Then, there is a scene on the beach where he explains to Hailey why he’s been acting the way he has, and the things he says made me love him, not just him, but love him for Hailey too.
I’m still in the biggest book funk that this story is over, but I now can’t wait for book 2, which thankfully is only a month away.
A million (but they only let me give 5) heartbreak to happiness stars
This was the best book of 2018. Natasha’s words just flow so perfectly throughout. We have all had our hearts broken and longed for the perfect love story. Jensen and Hailey were so relatable. I fell in love with them so effortlessly. There is not enough stars I can give this book.
I absolutely loved this newest book by this talented author. This is the story of Hailey and Jensen. Hailey’s world is turned upside down when she learns that the life she was living was all a lie. Consumed by grief and anger by the situation she knows in order to heal that she needs to leave and start anew. Jensen hasn’t had the easiest last 4 years of his life. His high school sweetheart leaves him and their daughter for his best friend. He is determined to give Mila the best life possible. He makes certain that no one will get past his walls he has carefully erected around his heart. That all changes when he comes across Hailey. He doesn’t know how to handle her so he is rude to her at first. After seeing how Hailey and his daughter Mila interact with each other…he starts to see that Hailey isn’t so bad. Together they are able to heal each other’s wounds and develop a relationship that is truly beautiful. They are so perfect for each other. I loved everything about their story…I laughed, ugly cried, and swooned at how sweet Jensen could be. I can’t wait for Crystal and Gabe’s story next….they were cracking me up with their antics! This book was another hit by this author and I highly recommend it to everyone. Well done!!!!
Holy shit, what a worse nightmare!! Natasha Madison completely knocked me on my ass here! This book was everything I had hoped for and so much more. Every time I think Madison can’t give us more… she does. Perfect Love Story really shows us the true strength of a person. Sometimes an event happens and you wonder how you’ll ever move on, but there’s an inner strength in us, a drive to live, to love. Madison shows us what that’s like. She brings Hailey to her lowest point and takes her a bit lower than that. Then we get to see the inner strength and the will to live slowly coming back.
This book throws two people together that have reached an all time low in their lives. Madison gives us a book that truly covers the range of emotions including grief. This is a gorgeous example of what people can do when they don’t let life kick them on their asses. There’s this scene 50% in when Hailey and Jensen are sitting on the beach and are tossing back and forth what I’ll refer to as their battle scars. I’m not sure which one is worse… or if there is a worse. But that scene is impactful. Natasha Madison is very slowly, inch by inch, giving us two people who have reached their lowest breaking point and she’s ever so slowly giving them life again.
To say I am impressed with the Perfect Love Story is an understatement. This booked rocked me. I cried right there with Hailey. I was furious, right there with her. This book also shows how our hearts sometimes recognize another heart. It was beautiful to watch this family come together. There were scenes with Mila that broke me a bit. I always wonder how a parent can walk way from their child but I was so happy that Madison shows us that both sexes can do just that. The way Madison developed these characters and these scenes was complete perfection. I would truly give this book more than 5 stars.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Omg just finished this book and so many feels!
This book was the perfect love story.
A book about lost love, betrayal and finding love again. Love Natasha Madison’s book but this one is May favorite and one of my faves this year.
So beautiful written and so emotional that you could feel Hailey’s pain. She was so strong. One of the most strong Heroine’s I’ve read.
And Jensen Walker. He was such an @sshole to Hailey in the beginning, but you could feel the pull he had to her. And he went trough so much, too.
Two broken hearts finding the perfect love.
And loved Mila. Such a sweet little girl.
Can’t wait for the rest of the series.
5 prefect
An extraordinary, powerful, and captivating, love story, the perfect love story! An absolutely amazing book that brings two broken people the happily ever after they deserve.
Perfect Love Story by Natasha Madison is the first book in the Love series, the beginning of a must read series! This book was everything I was expecting and then some. It was the perfect mix of angst, sexy, and sweet.
Hailey’s world comes crashing down the day her cousin delivers the news that her husband is dead. Little did Hailey know that losing her husband wasn’t the worst of it. Her husband’s death was just the beginning of a lot of heartache and suffering.
How does one move on after finding out, that the life you knew and loved was all a lie? By moving away. Hailey’s grandmother convinced her to move and find an escape, somewhere quiet and peaceful. Moving away was probably the best thing Hailey ever did, it led her to a new and better life. It also led her to Jensen and Mila.
At one point Jensen had it all, he had a beautiful home, a wife he loved, and a daughter that was his entire world. Just like that it all went crashing down when his wife left him and his daughter for another man. Heartbroken Jensen sets out to be the best father to his daughter, Mila, but sets up walls a mile high around his heart.
When Hailey and her cousin move into the house he had built for his family, he is outraged and wants them out. But Hailey is not leaving without a fight. After spending time with Hailey, he realizes there might be hope yet, and starts to open up to the possibility of falling in love again,
“So are you going to kiss me or not?”
That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between Hailey and Jensen. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. It is a journey that brings two very deserving people together. Both suffering in their own ways, find love again in each other.
One of my favorite reads this year! Not only will you fall in love with Jensen, Mila, and Hailey but all the secondary characters as well. The family dynamic is absolutely perfect. Perfect Love Story is flawless, Natasha did an extraordinary job giving us something to rave about. An absolute must read! I can’t wait for the second book in this series!
Definitely a 5 star read!!

Perfect Love Story is book one in this new series by Natasha Madison! It follows the story of Hayley and Jensen. Two broken people who survived heartache and betrayal. This was an emotional and slow burn book, which I loved! You will feel many emotions reading! I loved Hayley, she was sweet. Jensen, I didn’t really like him at first meeting but I loved seeing the change in him and ended up loving him! Mila was absolutely the cutest, she was so sweet! Looking forward to reading more in this series! This is a must read!
Natasha Madison is an evil genius! This story starts when Hailey’s life is falling apart. It was heart breaking, but Natasha slowly put me back together again with Hailey and Jensen’s HEA. I couldn’t put my kindle down as I read about Hailey learning how to live again, going through the grieving process and learning to find a new normal. Jensen really was perfect for Hailey, and the perfect mom for Mila. At times so tragically sad and others full of so much joy and happiness. Plus two beautiful epilogues. I can’t wait for the next book in the series that continues Crystal and Gabe’s stories
Can there be anymore of a Perfect Love Story than this? I love, love, loved this book so much, I purposely took a long time reading it because I didn’t want it to end. You can feel all the genuine love and respect everyone had for one another that you just can’t help but, fall in love with Jensen, Hailey, Crystal, Gabe Blake and especially Princess Mila. This book had me laughing with all the crazy banter between all of them, crying because of the heartbeak and anxiously awaiting what will happen next with every word. Natasha knocked it out of the park yet again!!! You will not regret buying this book. It’s one of those books that well stick with you. I can NOT wait for the next book!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This read is a I’m going break you down so bad, and then stomp on you, before it slowly makes everything okay. It was so intense at the beginning but then it was so mellow at the end . The ending was like a huge breath of fresh air, it put me in a very peaceful state.
Hailey is a newlywed like 6 months and her husband has a accident that changes Everything, She finds out so very disturbing truths about her husband that breaks her and she is propelled into the pits of a deep dark depression. She makes her way to the beach with her best friend Crystal to get away, to try and find herself again.
Hailey ends up finding Mila a princess and her arrogant father who happens to own the house that Hailey and Crystal are staying in. It is a sore painful reminder of Mila’s Mom. Jensen Walker is a broken man who is just living for his beautiful daughter, he is angry and takes it out on Mila’s new friend, Hailey. When two people have been burned so bad, it amazes me how they help heal one another. It is a beautiful love story that has you needing Jensen and Hailey to get their happily ever after. This read is a slow burn that was probably the smoothest transition from hate to well sneaking out when the sun is coming up. All the characters make this book so much extra, you will love them all.
