The last thing I expected on my birthday was a Dear John letter, but that’s what I got when she upped and left. Now, it’s just me and my girl against the world till the new girl moves in next door.
Is there such a thing as a perfect love story?

I received this book as ARC for my honest review. Where should I start mmm…we know is about betrayed but when the author described all the emotions that Haylie go through when she found out about her husband dead and all the lies, I cried with her, feel her anger and my heart heal with her as well. I love the connection between Jensen and Haylie. Other thing that I love about this book is that gives you the opportunity to see how Jesen and Haylie development their relationship and the same time the healing process from the betrayed giving you a amazing slow burn to the point that you can see that everything happens at the perfect time which makes for me the title of the book be the perfect fit.
Overall, I enjoyed the story. From what I could tell, the 3 books in this series are completely intertwined and each story tells the events from specific point of views. I have only read (or listened to, more accurately) the first story, featuring Hailey and Jensen.
Hailey lost her husband and then found out that he was already married. It sends a chain reaction where she basically ends up moving away to a small town where she meets Jensen. Jensen was a real jerk when they first met. The characters themselves were ok, both obviously dealing with their difficult histories but I felt like they weren’t really approachable because of their behaviors.
That said, there were some beautiful moments and I adored Mila, Jensen’s daughter. Overall, there were some fun side characters and also some really aggravating ones but overall, it ended up being a pretty well rounded story and I rate it 3.5 stars.
I really liked the narration, with Connor Crais & Meg Sylvan. Both did an overall great job playing the multiple characters and also infusing their performance with emotion.
Hailey and Jensen have both had their lives torn apart by their ‘spouses.’ This is their story of recovery, learning to love and honor themselves. learning to be open to loving another again. It takes a long time to build to a sex scene, and it is discreetly handled. There are lots of hints to the next story, as well. The family member characters are nicely built too. One issue that the author ought to fix in edits is the mismatches in ages for Mila … how many years the house has been empty, that Julia left and how old Mila is early in story and at the end.
Great book!! I loved the characters. I can’t wait to read about Gabe and Crystal.
I have to be honest, I liked the book, Utah I have read so many since then that I can’t really write exactly about this one.
Good book with some unusual twists.
Language structure often too simple. Some grammatical errors.
Absolutely loved this book. Jensen and Hailey both have past issues. They deal with each other through banter. Funny, romantic, and sexy. Love the characters. Can’t wait to read about Gabe.
I loved the whole series.
I absolutely loved this book. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down.
I loved the characters and that it had a happy ending.
I rarely give five stars but this book made me laugh and cry. Loved it!
Really enjoyed Perfect Love Story. First time reading this author and definitely will not be the last. Easy reading romantic book.
Great book!! Loved it!
This is my first Natasha Madison read and I can’t wait to jump into more. This book has all the feels, soul crushing loss, deep seated anger, a bit of humor and meddling, and heartwarming love.
Hailey finds herself along and trying to figure out how she could be so blindsided. Not only loosing her love and husband to a horrific accident but learning the secrets that have her second guessing herself. How does she move forward, where does she go from here. Trying to move forward, in a new place sounds like the perfect idea. She discovers the calm of the water as she learn who she wants to be and takes the steps to finding her shine again.
Jensen has been going through the motions for these past few years. Being the best father he can to his beautiful, smart little girl. Thanks to the help of his family and friends, while he still fights the anger of his ex for leaving them alone. Running the family business and enjoying the days the best he can.
Jensen is anything but happy when the beautiful woman moves into the house he thought was going to bring him happiness. With a push and a shove, some strong willed attitude, she holds her own and gets what she wants. Watching her from afar and trying to keep his distance, doesn’t really work for him. As they get to know each other and the stories of their past, they find comfort and friendship. Will Hailey and Jensen be able to leave the past where it belongs. Will they get a change to find happiness in the life they have left to live?
A beautiful love story, lots of secondary characters that make it interesting and leave you clawing for more that is to come from a new series.
I loved the book.
Good story. Interesting plot line. The author spent a lot of time building UP to Hailey losing her husband and her devastation. I almost stopped reading because it was long. Once that she got into her “escape” home, the story was really good. I liked the story and will probably read the sequels.
Sweet and heartwarming, I’m anxious to read the third book in the series.
Bad language, to much sex.
I believe that they could’ve written this book without all of the foul language. It might have been a good book I did not like the language
Enjoyed
