This is my first time reading this author and this book is the first in a new series by the author. After reading this book I think it kicks off a series that looks like it shall be a fun read. This is a pretty quick read but a fun and entertaining one.

I thought that this was a good book. That being said it was not my favorite. Some things I liked and others I did not. The characters were a 50/50 split. I liked Casper but was not a big fan of Heather’s.
I thought the main storyline idea was fun but with an unlikable heroine and a secondary character that drove me up the wall, I’d be lying if I said that sometimes reading this book felt more like a chore than a pleasure. Still, it wasn’t aweful, just not really to my taste.
What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas
Perfect Chaperone is the story of Heather and Casper. They have a past in which they were together in high school and in love. However, Heather broke Casper’s heart when her disapproving mother talked her into breaking up with him. This helped make him into the man he is today – a playboy who does not get involved.
But it is now years later and Heather takes a trip to Vegas with her best friends. The only thing is that Casper decides to play chaperone and invites himself along. Well what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas and that includes when you get drunk married. Now the question is what to do? Especially when she discovers that Casper is actually her new boss but she does not move in with him. Several months later there is a little secret that Heather has been keeping which Casper is going to discover. The only question is how will he finally get her to be his real wife and in his home and bed?

Heather and Casper are meant for each other but Heather’s Mom is a piece of work. She feels Casper is beneath them. The story is well developed but it took Heather took long to stand up to her mother.
Heather has gotten a new job and her friend Ellie thought that it would be a good idea to go celebrate it in Vegas. Heather new that it was a bad idea from the start. Heather new that something was up with Ellie when she wanted to go on a trip when she’s a newly wed. Then Ellie drops the bomb saying Casper was coming along. Heather isn’t a drinker. She has always been the driver for everyone. Heather is quit tired of having to listen to her mother tell her that she needs to find a rich man to settle down with. Casper is hold a secret from Heather and he so badly wants to tell her. Casper keeps telling Heather that he isn’t the same man when she new him. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I not sure if I ever disliked a character as much as I dislike Nancy, Heather’s mom. Although she is a minor character, her presence is strong throughout the story.
Heather let others lead her decisions in her life that she gave up the love of her life when she was young and was willing to do again when she had a second chance.
Caspar wasn’t ready to give up on his chance to win back his one, but with her reservations of her family wants he knew he had to do more.
I loved Caspar determination to rise about the thought of other and become a better person.

This is a quick read about high school sweethearts forced apart by Heather’s mother because she didn’t think Casper was good enough for her. I like that Casper used his heartbreak and pain and used it to push him to become successful. I didn’t like that Heather let her mother push her around and how she always worried about what others thought of her. This is a well written story with drama, angst, twists and a good ending.
Loved this story & it’s wonderful characters Will, Heather & her best friend Ellie who was responsible for them getting together again in Vegas. I wish we knew more of what had happened between them before but It was obvious they both still loved each other but Heather was still letting her mother rule her life when at her age she should have more backbone. It had me hooked until the end even though I though it ended a bit too quick but would definately recommend it & would read it again.

So many surprises!
Casper and Heather have some history together. Things did not work out but fate does have a way of entering into the picture. Casper is going to be a chaperone for a girl’s weekend in Las Vegas. This is going to be one of those cases where what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas. They are some rather interesting twists. I enjoyed the book and Nancy well the less she has to do with them the better it will be she was one character I could not stand. Check this one out! What a great story! Casper and Heather dated in high school but since her mother Nancy, didn’t approve of him, she ended the relationship. Casper tried but was never able to forget Heather nor how he feels about her. When her best friend Ellie, stops by to talk to his mom about getting them tickets to Vegas for a girls week, he offers to go as a chaperone. He hopes to use this time to get through to Heather about how right they are together. Things don’t go as Heather hopes as she wakes up one morning in bed with Casper. She soon finds out that they got married but neither can remember. Things go from bad to worse for her when she starts her new job only to find out that Casper is now her boss as he is the owner of the company. She stays away from him as much as she can but fate is not done with her when she finds out she’s pregnant. Casper manages to guess and this just makes him even more convinced that they were meant to be. In the end, they tell her family and her mother finally approves when she finds out how successful Casper has become. This allows them to get their happily ever after without her mother’s judgement hanging over her head.

This is the fun steamy story of Casper and Heather. They were high school sweethearts that we separated by her mother at the time and reconnected later on in life as her chaperone to a trip to Vegas to celebrate her new job working for him. He is now successful, and their connection is still very much present and one drink leads to a journey that is so much fun to read.

Too scared of what her mother would say!
by sewsummore
Casper and Heather had a history that could have been wonderful except for the continued interference of Heather’s mom. Years later Casper still had strong feelings for her that would not go away while Heather tried not to think of what could have been. When they are forced into each other’s company she knew she still had feelings for him and when a night drinking together leaves them married with no memory of the wedding and what came after she retreats as quickly as possible only to find they are going to be parents. I was disappointed in Heather’s behavior, ignoring the situation never solved anything and when it was impossible to hide her condition she finally relents and tells her mother of the marriage and baby. This was unfair childish behavior a woman who should have stood up for the man she loved. Casper had been devastated when Heather had first walked away from their relationship, it spurred him on to greater things and made him a man any woman would have been proud of, instead she was too scared of what her mother would say.

I read a lot of books and this one just didn’t work for me. I liked the idea of a couple reuniting after separating for a few years, especially since they originally dated in high school. The flow of the book was really choppy and they were not smooth transitions between characters speaking/thinking.
I found myself more interested in Ellie’s story and wildly annoyed by Ellie’s behaviour than I was in Heather and Casper’s story. Heather’s mom is obviously controlling and belittles everyone around her, yet Heather continues to abide by her parent’s authority even though she disagrees with it. I understand this is a hard situation for Heather, to think and believe so different from her mother, but at a certain point, she needs to step up and speak up. It wasn’t until near the end of the book when Heather starts to get out from underneath her mom’s control, but it wasn’t even her own doing.
I tend to not have a lot of sympathy or interest in characters like Heather, women who never find their voices and continue to live with their parent’s pressure. Heather grew up and moved away for college, she had the opportunity to develop her own thoughts and opinions independent of her mother. Yet when she comes back she seems to still think the same way and not be assertive. It drives me nuts.

This is a beautiful story of Heather who mother who has run her life even when she dated and loved Casper but her mother made her break it off. Now years later he is chaperoning her and her friends to Vegas. Awesome
Slow reunion
The story is good, but I struggled with the character of the heroine Heather. She refuses to get close to Casper, whom she loved as a teenager and with whom she had broken up because her mother had asked her and now that she has finished her studies, that she is going to start a new job, she keeps this rule … … her reaction is too weird.
And yet, Casper does not let go, stays perfect, especially during their trip to Vegas.
