Except now, threatening letters start appearing.
Someone knows something they shouldn’t.
And in trying to work out if she’s in danger, Ada is forced to relive that night and question everything she’s worked so hard for.
Did she really leave the menace behind her that night?
Trying desperately to understand her past, she unearths more secrets than she bargained for…but they just might be the truths she needs to save herself.
A dark, sexy suspense that has it all—complex characters, family drama, scorching sex and endless intrigue. “It’s rare to read a romance that does intrigue so well and has such unforeseen plot twists.”

All Ada’s life she thought she needed to be perfect to get the love from everyone mainly her mother. The only person who has always loved her has been Ben. Ben’s Dad married Ada’s mother. Ada always thought to be perfect she had to keep her feelings for Ben quiet. For years they keep their feelings under wraps. One day her world starts falling apart. Ben over heard something that makes him think Ada doesn’t want him any more but it is the fastest thing from the truth. Well her world is falling apart, Ben’s is being crushed.
Ada gets a call that changes her world. It started with news from her sister then about Ben and the biggest is from her Mother.
The details are to much of a spoiler which I’m not spoiling. Ada finally realized she doesn’t need to be perfect after all.

Ben and Ada’s parents married when they were both in their teens. Naturally they were in each others lives and when friendship and familial bonds became more, so did they.
This story is told mostly in dual POV and goes back and forth in time to show the development of their on/off relationship. There’s so suspense due to mysterious threatening letters that need solving, a stalker from Ada’s past along with conflict with their family
I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.
Add in drama and steamy passion and you have a good read.

Blame it on Mommy?
—>>> Ada’s life is not perfect. She tries really hard to make it that way, especially at her work where she is the CEO of her own magazine, and she just cannot seem to relate to those around her. Her mother has mentally checked out of being a parent to her, and she does not get along with her one sister. The only item she can consider perfect is her back-and-forth, complicated, taboo, behind-closed-doors arrangement with her step brother, Ben. It’s hot, it’s what they both want, and they have already have the perfect system down in order to scratch their mutual itch. One overriding factor in her life, though, is the creepy correspondence she is receiving from what appears to be a stalker, and Ada might just have an answer for that but she is too afraid to bring it up, because her image will be tarnished.
While I cannot believe Ben’s patience for the past fifteen years, he is the only one who really understands and accepts her. Secrets always have a way of coming out, whether you are ready or not. Great read, with some good explanations towards their HEA.
It was quite interesting to read the internal monologues and be in the head of the characters.
The family has always been a challenging subject especially when there are complications and lack of honesty.
A thought-provoking story!

This is the 4th book I’ve read written by Fen Wilde; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

We meet Ada following her break up from Ben, a secret break up from a ongoing on secret somewhat taboo relationship.
Ada is a perfectionist, she sets limits and goals and strives to achieve and hit those goals within her life. She is a workaholic who cannot and will not rest…because she enjoys her work, using it as a coping mechanism and finding comfort is being busy… hiding behind the reasons why she feels the need for perfection in her life.
Ok ok ok… I’m gonna hold my hands up and be honest…As if Bubbles The Book Pimp could be anything else….but…I’m not normally a fan of Romantic Suspense BUT…And this is the first book I’ve read by this author….I really really really enjoyed this book!
This was a wholly original book for me…I enjoyed the concept and although Ada at times was not the most likeable character, but as her story was slowly revealed I found myself liking and understanding her more. I found her intriguing and myself fully engrossed in her past.
Ben is Ada’s total opposite. A kind, warm and emotive soul who balances out Ada’s frosty exterior…. his character was a great at exposing the fun and carefree side to her character. Their scenes and interactions together were beautifully constructed and filled with chemistry and passion.
With a time line the jumps between the past and present, it’s a story about the learnt behaviours and self imposed rules, we as humans put on ourselves to protect us from the past traumas. How we can learn and work to overcome those traumas when we realise we may not be the only ones hurting.
I will be looking into further reads by this author.
This was the first book I’ve read from this author and it was pretty interesting. Of course, I’m a sucker for step sibling romances, but this one was completely different from what I normally read and not what I expected. There was suspense, angst, romance and more. Pretty good read and I absolutely adore Ben.
4 It’s A Twisty Ride Stars!!
This book is, as the title says, Perfect! I loved how this story is told in multi-POV’s because it’s so important for us to get the past and the present with Ada and Ben…there’s a story to that and boy does it play a major role in their lives.
This book is told at a pace that is perfect for our H/h because the publishing world runs at a rapid pace even though they both have different ways of managing their teams, it doesn’t stop them from engaging in some hot off the charts sex… there’s no imagination needed while reading this book which I for one, was absolutely okay with!!
The ties that Ada and Ben have are complex and deep and when there’s a threat to Ada, Ben takes on a new role, which just endears him to me that much more. This book has twists and turns I didn’t see coming and almost a coming of age story because Ada has to make some decisions that will have a reverberating consequences! There isn’t one thing I didn’t like about this book and I’m so looking forward to reading more from Ms. Wilde!
Perfect by Fen Wilde is a complex story between step siblings. Ben and Ada’s parents married when they were both in their teens. Naturally they were in each others lives and when friendship and familial bonds became more, so did they.
This story is told mostly in dual POV and goes back and forth in time to show the development of their on/off relationship. There’s so suspense due to mysterious threatening letters that need solving, a stalker from Ada’s past along with conflict with their family and some truly hot scenes.
I would have preferred to have the story finish on a better note than it did, but overall I good, tense and sexy read that I enjoyed.
The characters had their flaws and good points. It wasn’t sure of Ada to begin with, but did warm up to her in the end. I loved Ben and his attitude from the start. He’s sweet and soulful but with a side of protective alpha. Well worth a read.
This is a well written story, with complex characters and a complicated plot. Ada and Ben are total opposites, yet perfect together. Ada’s mother married Ben’s dad when they were teenagers. Add in the stalking, and this story had me intrigued and hooked throughout. The only down side, in my opinion, is that there were some unanswered questions at the end, so I hope there is a follow up novel!
