Pearl in the Sand adds depth what we know about Rahab as an ancestor of Jesus. Her heart was tender to God before she really knew anything about Him except that He was the God of Israel. But her past, not entirely her choice, caused her to doubt her value to the One who created and chose her. I loved the details of daily life, how God used other …
A wonderful story of redemption. well written.
A beautiful heartwarming story of struggles, overcoming negative self worth and love set in biblical times.
It helped me recognize areas of my life where there are gaps between hat the Word says I should do or not and my behavior. Love these kinds of books that become mirrors reflecting truth I can see and understand. Additionally, offers a perspective of the life of Israel transitioning from wilderness wanderer led by a cloud or pillar of fire to …
This book brings the Biblical story of Rahab to life. I couldn’t put it down!
Wow! What a beautiful story! I have been truly blown away by this touching story.
Everything about this novel just drew me in, and one of the main parts was the characters. I was amazed at how much I connected to these characters. Although I haven’t experienced the tragedies that Rahab went through, I could relate to her doubt, her fears, her …
A wonderful Christian author!! I have read several of Tessa Afshar’s books and have enjoyed every one of them. This author has quickly become one of my favorites! Her use of God’s word, love, mercy and forgiveness (including our own) to overcome obstacles of life circumstances and sin are on point. This was my favorite book of hers so far.
If I could, I’d probably give this book 100 stars. Words can’t describe what this story did to me. It was like God used it to mend a heart He had started to mend and He wanted to emphasize the point. Ms. Afshar’s style of writing is so beautiful it reminds me of a field in bloom.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed i book of this genre. Very well written.
