No karate chops necessary in this book!
“Peaches and Scream” book 8 in the ”Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery” series by Chelsea Thomas. I love spending time in Pine Grove, NY with Chelsea, Teeny and Miss May. I know I’m in for some humour, mixed in with murder.
This go around we have psychic who thinks everyone is out to kill her, and low and behold Chelsea finds her dead in the bake shop! I enjoyed this book even more than the previous ones, the characters are well-developed and we continue to learn a little bit more about each of them. My favourites are still Teeny (always evokes a giggle), auntie May and Chelsea. I like the addition of the happy dog and cute cat to the farm family.
The mystery has so many twists and red hearings that you are kept guessing until the very end. I continue to enjoy this cozy mystery series. I find them to be entertaining and the plot moves at a steady pace that keeps you engaged.
I highly recommend this book/series. It can easily stand alone but I recommend you read the series from the beginning.

The peaches are all ready and soon everyone is enjoying anything with peaches. It is all fun until a dead body appears and it seems only two people could have done it. Are they guilty? Who did it? Can they prove they did not do it? See if they can find the real murderer

I have read this entire series and what was a cute series has become annoying. Usually I finish one of these books in a day, but it has taken me upwards of 2 months this time. It seems that the authors are recycling the same story over and over again. I really enjoyed this series and hopefully I will again.

Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny are again on the trail of murder and the truth. I love the banter and interplay between the three and how much they annoy the police chief when they figure it out first. I’ve really enjoyed all the books in this series.

A fun read but had to suspend disbelief a time or two. Who breaks and enters without a lookout? A trio of amateur crime investigators each with their own quirks work together to solve murders in their small town and as is customary in cozies, solve murders before the police. What a unique cast of characters! A little bit different but that makes it more fun.
Miss May, Chelsea and Teeny are back! This is a mystery with a lot of things thrown in as red herrings. But weeding through it all was hard, yet super enjoyable! Funny, as always, Teeny and Chelsea come up with the most crazy things to say. And I’m totally craving peach pie and hush puppies now!

Miss May throws a Peach Party to celebrate the peach harvest. The entire town shows up to partake of all things peach. Everything is going well until they stumble upon a dead body. The shop was locked so they have to solve the mystery as to how entry was done for both the killer and the victim. Naturally Miss May and Chelsea are the only two with keys so they are the main suspects

Another Good Visit to the Orchard
I have read this series nearly from the beginning, and I enjoy it when each installment comes out. This book is no exception, happily. The ladies have a lovely party for the community in the orchard, even though a bad argument ensues. But things get serious when our heroine discovers the dead body of one of the arguers deep in the night in the bakeshop that only she and Miss May have keys to. Of course, this puts them at the top of the suspect list. I love that the authors have imbued such an enjoyable character and community quirkiness factor into these books and created both wittiness and actual laugh-out-loud moments. I feel like I have really gotten to know Chelsea, Miss May, and Teeny, and I enjoy watching their interactions and banter. As always, I am looking forward to the next installment.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

This is one more page turning, entertaining cozy mystery from Chelsea Thomas! This quirky trio of sleuths will make you laugh as they try to solve the latest murder. While the police want them to stay far away from the investigation they cannot help but be involved. I love the cute little sayings that they spout out and I am never good at figuring out who did it. A great read that keeps you interested!

Love this series! Following a seasonal “peach party”, Chelsea discovers a dead body in the bakery and the girls begin investigating. This riveting tale is filled with delightful characters and great humor. I did not guess “who done it”. It was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to future installments. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
The amateur sleuths are at it again because Chelsea has discovered another body. This time it was in their bakeshop with the door locked! With Chelsea’s keys missing, does this mean a killer has access to them in their own home? You don’t want to miss this peach of a story!
Chelsea Thomas does it again. Miss May, Teeny, and Chelsea, the self professed detective team, are off to solve a murder. During Miss May’s peach festival, Beth makes a big scene accusing Big Jim of wanting to kill her. She was right…..someone wanted her dead. Was it Big Jim? Was it any of the other dozen of people Beth believed wanted her dead? Read on dear readers to see if you can unravel the mystery before our daring detective team!
Peaches and Scream: Book 8
I’ve binge read books 5-8 in this series in the last 4 days. I feel as though I have been on a mini vacation visiting friends in the fictional town of Pine Grove, NY. It has been a wonderful escape from daily life into a world of fiction. Miss May, Chelsea, and Teeny would make wonderful friends to visit on the days they weren’t workings as amateur detectives, risking their lives mixed up in murders and mayhem. I am just thankful that it is a fictional town, the murder rate per capita is through the roof.
This is a well-written, well-told, fun, and easy read full of red herrings, romance, murder, and mystery.
Another great addition to the Apple Orchard Series by Chelsea Thomas. In this read they have the first peach harvest coming off and that leads to people problems. Will Chelsea and her aunt Miss Mae be able to solve the problems. A great read.

I loved how this one had a different feel to it, not only is the victim from out of town but the clues are slim, Chelsea gets to see what the towns folk really think of her and the twists wow good luck working it out! An extremely entertaining read with plenty of laughs, great food and a great challenge for the sleuthing trio to sink their teeth into!

I am an arc reader and I received this book for free. This series never disappoints. There is twists and turns with humor and festivities intertwined! It is always fun to see what lengths Chelsea, miss may, and teeny will go to, to solve the crime. They get themselves in and out of all kinds of troubles. I would love to see recipes in the book

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
The town of Pine Grove, is much like Cobot Cove Maine in Murder She Wrote and I love everything about it and Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny are Jessica Fletcher
In this one the trio are tasked in investigating the murder of a tarot card reader, Beth, who thought that everyone wanted to kill her, even Chelsea, who she accused in front of many witnesses. And it doesn’t help where the body is found
So off they go investigating and obviously getting in the way of the cop’s and we all know how Chief Flanagan feels about Chelsea anyway, just jealousy I think because she wants Wayne and Wayne wants Chelsea
Let’s just say like my favourite episode of Murder She Wrote, this book will not disappoint you. Well Chelsea Thomas never disappoints in my point of view and is a brilliant writer
Peaches and Scream is another great, entertaining mystery in the Apple Orchard series. Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny are once again caught in a murder at the Bakeshop. This is a fun mystery with magicians, tarot cards, and residents of a local asylum! There is, of course, a lot of misdirection before our ladies solve the mystery. I was very entertained by a book I found hard to put down.
