I have not read books 1-15 of this series. The heroine, Meghan Truman, owns a bakery in small town Sandy Bay. The title of the book comes from some of her bakery offerings.
Meghan has asked for recommendations for installing a security system at the event barn she co-owns. The person is a very unlikeable person. Then a murder happens at the event barn. Police determined right away that it was murder and not an accident although no real supporting details were provided other than the body was in an odd position based on the supposed way the person died. I developed my own theory of the killer and was surprised at the quick wrap of the story.
While some of the characters were believable, others in my opinion were not.
This was a fun read, although the romance was a little cheesy. The characters seemed to jump to conclusions rather than listen. Probably not my favorite, but I would read more from this series. There is no inappropriate language or sex!
ACTION-PACKED AND EASY-TO-READ. MEGHAN AND JACK ARE IN A COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP THAT HAS THEIR ROMANCE AT ODDS MORE THAN WE’D LIKE TO SEE. READ HOW THESE CHARACTERS EVOLVE ALONG WITH THE OTHER FUN AND CHARMING GROUP. RECOMMENDED
A FREE BOOK, THIS IS MY HONEST REVIEW.
This series is an enjoyable cozy mystery series. The characters are fun and entertaining, the story line is written so well and flows smoothly. I’m loving this series and can’t wait for more! I received an advance copy of this book to leave a review.
The Sandy Bay cozy series has been a favorite of mine and Peaches and Crime does not disappoint! When the event barn she co-owns with her friend, Jackie, is continually vandalized, they decide to have security cameras installed. Unfortunately, this decision leads to more tragedy in Sandy Bay and places Meghan squarely in the middle of the investigation. With several good suspects and her relationship with her boyfriend on the rocks, can Meaghan solve the crime and fix things with Jack? You’ll have to read Peaches and Crime to find out! I highly recommend this entire series from A to P!!!
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Best one yet!
This series just keeps getting better with each book! Poor Meghan has nothing but problems, from her “friend” telling her her desserts aren’t good enough to another dead body and a business partner that just won’t listen. And what is happening with the love of her life? Love the characters and the town. Can’t wait for the next book!
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
This book was great. Megan and Steven are having relationship issues. Megan’s friendship with Lee makes her boyfriend very angry and there are some very good intentions and it can get very interesting. They do work it out by the end but you need to read it to see what happens. The author does a great job of developing good characters that are believable. That’s why I love to read her books.
Wow, what a story. Meghan and Jack are going through a rough patch to say the least. Murder, vandalism, last minute catering for gala’s; what else can go wrong in Meghan’s life. Quite a bit it seems, you need to read this book. A great story, wonderful characters and lots to keep you entertained along the way. A definite add to your TBR pile.
Loved the book and the series. Meghan and her friend Jackie co-own a barn which they rent out for events. Someone vandalizes the barn and they decide to have security cameras installed. Unfortunately the guy they hire gets murdered. To make matters worse, Meghan and her boyfriend hit a bump in their relationship. Definitely a page turner. Looking forward to more adventures of Meghan and her friends.
Awesome
Amber Crewes has done it again, book sixteen is another book about Meghan Truman that was hard to put down. I just love this series! I have enjoyed every one that I’ve read so far!! Great characters. Great storyline. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
I received this as an ARC. As usual Meghan is busy with her wonderful bakery and her business venture with her friend Jackie. But things are not quiet for long. Although she has a thriving bakery that recently celebrated its one year anniversary, she wants to develop herself more as a professional. She is invited to attend a Women in Business Fellowship Conference to learn how to grow her business and provide customers with unforgettable experiences. Her friend Kirsty invites her to happy hour to network with fellow entrepreneurs. They come across a peach tart dessert and the ladies rave about it. Kirsty teases Meghan about not possibly making something that good. Meghan takes offense to the tease.
When she returns to the bakery, she decides to develop a new, yummy dessert. Her yummy peach dessert range is evoking pleasant noises from her customers, including the Governor of the state. Her sense of euphoria at creating another culinary winner is cut short when she discovers that the premises of her other business, an event barn, has been vandalized.
Without giving away much of the book, Meghan runs into Lee who is giving a short speech on the importance of cyber security. Lee’s rude and obnoxious behavior of an alleged expert, called in to beef up the security at The Barn, gives Meghan grief and concern. When this person is found dead on her business premises, her heart breaks for the person’s loved ones.
Meghan finds herself at a crossroad as she has to make decisions that could have lasting consequences. Her long term relationship with her boyfriend has hit the rocks and seems irreparable or is it? This is a must read to find out what happens between Meghan and Jack!
Join Meghan and the gang as they are faced with another murder. While busy creating peach treats, the barn at Meghan’s event venue is vandalized and then a security installer is found dead there. Add in a jealous boyfriend and the adventure begins! I love the characters in Sandy Bay. The stories are just the right length for a quick evening read. Plus, a cozy with no swearing or graphic scenes. Looking forward to the next one!
I received an ARC of this book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The skillful interweaving of two distinctly different plots resulted in an interesting reading that kept you interested until the very last word.
