ALLIE HARRIS WANTS PAYBACK. Her cheating ex deserves to see her living her best life; a one-night-stand with a hot South African soccer player would be the perfect revenge. Right? Wrong. Allie is so, so wrong. ROAN DEWALT HAS ALL THE MOVES. On and off the field he’s at the top of his game. Roan respects hard-work, dedication—and follow through. He’s not a one and done kind of man, and he’s far … kind of man, and he’s far from being done with Allie Harris.
One sexy night and two years later, Allie’s job brings her back to town. An opportunity for the perfect replay Roan has been fantasizing about since they slept together.
THE PROBLEM?
Allie Harris has a secret; one she’s been keeping from Roan all this time. Video proof of their one night together—taken without his consent.
Will Allie’s payback plan come back to bite them both? Or can she erase her past mistake and embrace a new future with Roan?

I love catcing up with the Harrises. Allie is a cousin who visits for a family wedding and is set up with Roan. She has a plan to get back at her ex and her ex stepsister. She is going to record herself while with another man, not getting their faces. Unfortunately, the recording gets everything. Two years later, when her own father is set to walk the step sister down the aisle, she moves to England and moves in with her cousin.
Vi keeps setting Allie and Roan up together, which is ok with Roan, because he likes Allie. She still has the recording, she never did show it to anyone, so she keeps trying to push him away. Roan knows that there is something different about Allie, so he continues to persue her.
I loved Roan so much. He was sweet, affectionate, and didn’t want to hide their relationship. He even went through a Harris Shakedown to prove that he was all in with Allie. She is afraid to define what they are because of her previous relationship, but he keeps persisting. Just when everything seems to be coming up roses, he witch of a step sister does the unthinkable.
The relationship comes to a screeching halt due to her step sister. Roan doesn’t think he can trust her or get past what she did. She still loves him, but decides to move back to the states. She has no job and the man she loves doesn’t want her. All of the Harris brothers were awesome at different times in this book. How and if they can work out their issues is wonderful to see.
I would give this book more than five stars if I could. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Amy Daws writes books that deliver enough angst to make my heart squeeze, set my kindle on fire, make me swoon, and make me laugh out loud. As if those weren’t enough, they are heartfelt and unique romances—every last one of them! Moreover, I can’t think of a single book she’s written that I haven’t loved, or that I would rate at less than five stars and Payback was no different. From the moment I started reading, I couldn’t put it down, and I stayed up very late to finish the one-night stand/sports romance. Payback is yet another book in the Harris Brothers Series, only this time it’s not about a Harris brother… we get to experience a Harris cousin and since I have given up reading blurbs when it comes to Amy’s words, I just knew I was going to love it!
After Allie catches her boyfriend cheating, she’s bound and determined to have payback, in the form of a one-night stand. And make a teaser of how hot it is. Only the teaser becomes a sex tape, and the man in question has no clue that it exists. Much like the other books in the series, Amy delivers her signatures: incredible chemistry, witty banter and smoking hot romance. Payback had my emotions all over the place, a variable rollercoaster that I didn’t want to see end. I think each time I have read a Harris Brother’s book that I won’t enjoy it as much as I have a previous story, and yet I do, each and every time. There is a genius in Amy’s writing which never fails to captivate me and again, Payback served as a reminder of why I tend to drop everything to read her stories. I loved Roan and Allie. Roan’s super sexy and definitely book boyfriend material—he’s got all the right moves, is charming, and loves fiercely to say nothing of his utter devotion to those he does love. Allie was looking for payback and caught feelings (and multiple orgasms—never a bad thing to happen in the process). The pair were opposites who complemented each other perfectly and make no mistake, you’ll be wishing for a cold shower while they explore that chemistry that attracts them to one another. If you’re an Amy Daws virgin, you can read this one without it ruining the other because while it is part of a series, it’s still a standalone romance. Of course, I know now, that when it comes to Amy’s writing, one is absolutely never enough and you might as well just jump all over the other books in the series, binge reading til you know each and every one intimately because they are addictive. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend Payback and give it Five Stars… Grab this exceptionally entertaining romance now and get to reading!
Payback takes us back to the world of the Harris family. Whilst you can easily read Allie and Roan’s story as a standalone, I highly recommend the whole series.
Roan and Allie’s story picks up where Gareth’s story left off. This pair are complex, yet completely endearing, and I was captivated by their story from the very beginning. The chemistry they share is instantaneous, and sexy, hot and steamy. Their banter is witty, fun, flirtatious and humorous, and honestly just makes me smile when I think about this pair.
Roan is such a swoon worthy character. Witty, charming, flirtatious, confident and sweet yet sexy. He’s hard working but also ambitious, and everything he does is with his family in mind.
Allie is a complex, yet guarded character who has had to fight for love and affection her whole life. I adored her strength and loved watching her character evolve over the course of this title. She’s realistic and relatable, and the love, loyalty and over protective natures of her well meaning cousins is just what she needs.
The Harris family are incredibly endearing and loveable, in spite of their eccentric and egotistical personalities and I loved seeing more of them and catching up with their lives. It was particularly heart-warming to see Vaughn’s relationship with his children continuing to grow and develop from what it was in earlier titles.
Once again Amy Daws did not disappoint, Payback is a heart-warming title, that I highly recommend.
*** 4.5 Stars ***
Payback by Amy Daws, a standalone Harris family spin-off, is a contemporary, sports, romantic comedy told in first person, dual POV. While it isn’t necessary to read the Harris Brothers Series before reading Payback, doing so enhances the reading experience because the Harrises are prominent characters in this story. So I’d definitely recommend it.
Anger, betrayal, and heartbreak can cause anyone to behave in ways that are out of character. That’s what happened when Allie Harris met sexy, soccer player Roan DeWalt and filmed their one night stand without his knowledge or consent. It all started as revenge against her cheating ex. She never meant to record everything, and in the end, she chose not to do anything with it.
Now it’s over two years later. Allie has moved to London, and Roan wants to pick up where they left off. But she feels guilty about the secret sex-tape – especially since she never deleted it from her phone. The closer Allie and Roan become, the guiltier she feels about what she did.
Will Allie confess everything or will she just delete the video and leave it in the past? What will happen if her secret is exposed? What will happen if the media get a hold of the footage? Will Roan’s career be destroyed? Will he ever be able to forgive Allie?
I loved Roan and Allie’s love story. As a fan of the Harris Brothers Series, it was great to be back in that world with the wonderful Harris family. Full of humor, twists, and sweet endearing moments, this was a fantastically fun read and a perfect addition to the Harris series.

A new sports romance by Amy Daws! LOVE!
She does it again…
My god Roan was everything, and of course I heard his South African accent everytime I read him.
He was sexy, possesive, charming and all alpha male hotness.
He captivated my heart he tried to push Gareth out he nearly did but Gareth is still got the number 1 spot. Just!!
Allie was sweet in her own way she had a take no bullshit attitude and just made me smile.
Every page was captivating and powerful in its own way. I loved the moral of the story and even the sad bits which had me tearing up were enchanting.
I loved that the Harris boys made cameos because Harris Ho for life yo!!
Amy always makes you swoon over her men no matter what, of course Roan was no different his all alpha male hotness made you swoon from page to page.
He had my heart from the get go and I instantly fell in love.
Everything about this story was captivating, it was an epic fairytale with enough drama to have you on edge but just enough to want you to keep turing those pages.
This truly was a love story told right. It was one of my top reads this year. Freaking love Amy and her words!
When Allie is betrayed by those she thought she could trust she decides to head to London for a family wedding and show her ex exactly what he was missing and Roan is the perfect man for the job even if he doesn’t know it.
Roan is a sexy South African soccer star who is a teammate of Tanner’s. From the moment that he meets Allie the chemistry between them is electric and they share a steamy evening. He finds out that one night is not enough however Allie is heading back to the US and he doesn’t know that he part of a payback plan.
Two years later Allie moves to London for a fresh beginning. Roan is determined to have a second chance with the woman he has never forgotten but will Allie’s actions during that one night be the one thing he can’t forgive.
Revisiting the Harris world is always so much fun. I really enjoyed the growth that Allie showed as she was embraced by the Harris clan and Roan is enough to make you swoon. Humorous banter, hot chemistry, great secondary characters and so much emotion will have you wishing their story never ends.
Revenge is sweet, but Roan is so much sweeter!!!
Only Amy Daws can make me cheat on my Book Boyfriend… Amy Daws is the queen of comedy, love, and bringing it all together after life hits a brick wall!
From meeting Roan DeWalt in Endurance… We have been intrigued by him. And anyone who can put Tanner’s panties all in a bunch is worth further exploration…
Allie Harris. is a Harris cousin from America and she is on a mission to prove that she can overcome the destruction of what her ex did to her. But the story is never that easy and there is always something that causes a snag in the happy!
Roan was used, but made himself unforgettable! So the next time he sees Allie, there is a plan to be made and lessons to be learned.
Any story that includes the Harris family is a winner in my book, but this book mangaged to open my heart and let Roan in (a non Harris brother!) I was captivated and compelled to love outside the family! Way to go Amy! You are broadening my horizon and Roan is in my sights! (But I still love CAM… and TANNER… yes, and BOOKER… and most definitely, GARETH!!!)
Wow !
This is the first book I’ve read from Amy Daws, and I’m pretty amazed. She did a really great job with this book and brought us a well-written story.
Once you start reading “Payback” you can’t put this book down till the end .
Allie and Roan are so beautiful characters. I fell in love with them from the first second I’ve started reading the story.
Their love shows us that nothing in this world can’t break true love. Because if you love somebody with your whole heart then you can forgive them their mistakes, however, huge they are.
If you love reading sports romance, then you need to read this book.
P. S. I can’t wait to read the whole series from the beginning and get my paperback edition of “Payback” !
Payback by Amy Daws is the sixth book in her phenomenal Harris Brothers series. While technically the stories of the Harris Brotehrs are done, told, finsihed, the Bethnal Green team and the extended Harris family members still have some stories left to tell. This is their cousin Alice and their teammate Roan Dewalt’s story. Prepare yourself – it’s a scorcher!
Roan’s story was phenomenal! Heat and angst, humor and snark and just wonderful characters in an already wonderfully crafted world. From an out-of-character one-night-stand (for both of them) to a reunion two-years later. Add in a scandal no one expected that has the potential to ruin BOTH their careers and this book is a five-alarm fire of hot and smoking! I can’t get enough and am really hoping for more from the world of Bethnal Green FC. Alice/Allie/Lis is abs just the right amount of damaged and Roan was so swoon worthy. Between his manners, behavior and his care for Lis. Swoon! Enjoy!!!
I enjoyed reading this so much. I loved how the story progressed and the ending was epic. I already knew from this authors previous works that once I started I’d probably need to clear the day because I wouldn’t want to put it down till I read to the end and that was accurate.
Payback delighted me! I loved the main characters, Allie and Roan, and of course, the rest of the cast was awesome as well. I had only read one Harris Brothers book before this one, but I didn’t feel like I really missed anything.
There was hotness, intrigue, sweaty footballers, and new relationships galore!
This is my first Amy Daws book and from the moment I started reading I was hooked. I loved Roan and Allie’s story. It was sweet and laugh out loud funny with lots of surprises. Really the story was filled with lots of emotion. I especially loved how close Allie’s Uncle and Cousins are and how they are always right there for her when she needs them.
I look forward to reading another one of Mrs. Daws books.
Chemistry, laughs and love
A Harris Brothers spinoff, this book is about cousin Alice (Allie) and mostly takes place after the previous books. I thought this worked fairly well as a standalone as the author does a great job sneaking in the information you need about the crossover characters along the way. As a fan of the series though, I definitely recommend reading the earlier books, and you’ll have a richer experience here if you have.
Fans of the series won’t be disappointed, as we actually get quite a few glimpses of the Harris clan, including the infamous Harris Shakedown—poor Roan! An all around good guy, Roan Is a great character; I really liked that he came from South Africa (and that the author gives us a taste of that culture), and I especially loved his determination and his dedication to his family. I loved Allie’s bluntness and found her vulnerability touching. The London branch of the Harris family really comes through for her, and between their craziness and her relationship with Roan, she sees what she’s had missing in her life. Tanner is his usual outrageous self and I loved the chance to catch up to the rest of the family. Freda and Mac were hilarious additions to the lineup as well, and I’m really hoping we get another spinoff just for them.
While I really loved most of the book, there were a couple of things I disliked—and these are more personal taste than anything else. Allie did something early on (trying to avoid spoilers here) without asking Roan that was a huge “Nope!” from me—not cheating, that was her ex, but it was something that’s on a par with cheating for me. I know what Allie intended was relatively minor (at least, compared to what actually happened), but with another author I didn’t love as much as this one, I would have been tempted to stop reading. I do love this author, though, and the Harris Brothers is a favorite series, so I kept going. And the genius of this author is, she made me like Allie anyway, lol.
My other issue is at the end of the book: Allie was still trying to get payback. While the method she chose was certainly an improvement over her original plan, and while I’m sure a lot of readers will be cheering her on (and in all honestly, there was a part of me cheering her on as well), I felt like the fact she was still even trying for payback meant she hadn’t really learned anything, when I would have liked to have seen more character growth. So while I really loved the part of the ending with Roan (it made me both laugh and cry) I sort of hated a part of it as well. But I unequivocally ADORED the epilogue!
At the end of the day, this book gave me all the feels, and that’s really the point, isn’t it? Tons of chemistry, plenty of laughs and lots of love, not to forget the usual particular brand of Harris family crazy, all make this a great addition to the series. 4.5 stars

I am so in love with this story!
When I found out that there would be a new story in the Harris series I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! I’ve loved all of them since the very first book of the series, Challenge, and I was dying to get more of them, anyway I could get it, and even though the story isn’t about the Harris siblings, I fell completely in love with their cousin, Alice!
She’s a strong and smart woman. I loved her from the beginning and I loved her even more while turning the pages and reading about her progress in figuring out that she’s worth of being loved, that she is enough. Being able to read about the personal growth in a characters is amazing, and adds so much depth to the story.
And Roan? He charms his way into your heart since the first moment you meet him. He is kind, caring and so sweet. It’s impossible to resist him, and Alice knows it too. I rooted for them from moment one and I couldn’t wait for them to realize how righ they are for each other. Their chemistry is sizzling and pours out of the pages.
Another aspect I loved, other than getting bits of the Harris siblings and their significant others is getting to know new characters that will steal your heart as well.
Sizzling, sweet and fun.

Five Stars!
Amy gets me every time with these Harris’s, and she keeps getting better and better. I loved every single minute of this book.
Allie (h) makes a big mistake, one she doesn’t think will ever be discovered until it’s too late. Roan lives for the game and his family; he’s quiet and likes to keep a clean reputation.
When Allie and Roan are set up, by our favorite Harris girl Vi, sparks fly and what was meant to be a one night stand is still fresh in their minds two years later. When Allie and Roan reconnect Allie tries everything to stay away, but she can’t resist Roan anymore.
I absolutely fell in love with them as a couple and as characters as well. Allie’s quirks and Roan’s quiet sarcasm and dry humor made for an outstanding story and pair. We get so many fun guest appearances from all the Harris’s and their significant others, and it just makes me want more more more.
I’m hoping for a possible spinoff, Mac and Freya anyone? Someone? I just can’t let them go.
If you’re into RomCom, sports romance, or just a good romance in general that has a whole lot of sexy scenes from the start, angst, laughter and maybe even a few tears, I would highly recommend picking this one up.
Once again, Amy did not disappoint; I loved it!
Okay, so Amy Daws has got to be one of the most talented romantic comedy authors around. Seriously. The stories she comes up with and the situations she puts her characters in are some of the most entertaining stuff I’ve ever read.
The Harris family is LEGENDARY and I will love them forever. They are definitely my favorite soccer-playing Heroes and everything she did to weave this story for Allie Harris was the best!
Allie was the bomb and she took that heartache and made it her beeotch! It made me love her instantly and root for her all the way. The first encounter was PURE FIRE and I was in love with Roan and Allie right away!
If you loved the Harris brothers, read this book. You will love it. If you haven’t read the Harris brothers, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Get on it right now!!
“Welcome back to the world of the Harris family, 5 stars”
Alice was on the rebound when she first met Roan. She never expected to run into him again years later. He might be responsible to one of the best nights of her life but she won’t go there again. Allie has a guard around her heart and she won’t let him in. But Roan has other plans.
Roan has been thinking about Alice since the night he met her. She took his breath away. Now she’s back and he’s not willing to let her walk away from him again. Will he be able to break down her walls and make her fall in love with him? Only one way to find out…
The energy between these two was undeniable. I loved the kind of guy Roan is. He’s all about proving people wrong. Alice is finding her way and honestly between Roan and her Harris cousins she’s a little overwhelmed. Speaking of those Harris’ we get a sneak peak at all of the ones who came before Allie that we love and it just made the story all that much better. If you take a chance on Payback you won’t regret it. And may I just say that Daws British English is on point for an American writer.

What an amazing heroine! When Alice Harris’s job lands her back face to face with her one night stand, sexy South African soccer player Roan DeWalt she tries to keep her distance. She is carrying around a BIG secret that she definitely doesn’t want him to find out.
“He bites his lip and glances down at my chest. “You’re not going to win this battle, Lis. I’m an athlete. We’re made of stronger stuff than most.”
I roll my eyes, annoyed that he has me right where he wants me. Jutting out my chin, I press my finger to his chest and say, “Well, I’m a Harris. You don’t even want to know what we’re made of.”
OH! The ANGST!! From the moment Allie clicks record on that video, my heart was in my throat waiting for the other shoe to drop!!!
This story was one that I wanted to rush through to find out what happens, but it was SO GOOD that I just needed to read slowly and savor every bit of it!!
-5 Stars!!-
Wow! I can’t even find the words to tell you how much I loved this book, but I’m gonna try!
Let’s start off with saying the chemistry between our main characters is off the charts, incendiary, just plain HAWT!
Then we get into what I truly loved about the story, Allie is a Harris cousin, on the outside looking in at their crazy family dynamic. I love this so much because while she is family she has never seen this type of family connection and So it isn’t easy to get used to, but they fully consider her one of them. In the other books the outsiders are love interests who simply look over it quick because that’s who they are in love with. It was just nice to see it from a non-love interest characters perspectives.
Now let’s talk about my obsession with our hero Roan. I’m a total sucker for a South African accent (I’m totally gone for Trevor Noah). Not only is Roan sweet, charismatic and knows what he wants, he is honest and understanding about the emotional baggage Allie comes with.
Th story is fun and fast paced, everything I love about Amy Daws Harris brothers books! I look forward to more!!!
