Paxton Doherty is a loner, a shifter without a pack, a man without a mate. While his ability wasn’t enough to allow him to become a true Enforcer, someone who protects and upholds the shifter laws, he is ‘good enough’ to be a Rogue Enforcer. Something that the leader, Colton, figured out. Now, he spends his days handling cases in his area and his nights roaming the woods. He never expects his mate … expects his mate to fall almost literally in his lap. Or the danger that surrounds her that will require not only his skills, but those of several of his teammates in the Rogue Enforcers.
Landry Welch realized early in life that not everyone who smiles at you is your friend. A professional athlete, she’s out running one day when she’s hit by a car. Tossed into a ditch, broken and critically injured, she realizes that she’ll never have what she always dreamed of—someone to love. She knows she’s not worth the effort it would take for anyone to break down her walls but wishes someone would take that chance.
Can the Rogue Enforcers deal with this latest threat? Will Paxton convince Landry that she is, indeed, his mate? Will his confession cause her to run?

Author Darlene Tallman did a fantastic job with this book. Characters are hilarious and had me laughing a bit, well done
Amazing read, great story and connections between the characters. Love the way Paxton and Landry’s story goes. Can’t wait to read more in this series.
Love a good shifter read.
This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last.
Paxton has had a solitary life, leaving home as soon as possible due to a toxic situation. He left behind family, and all that he knew, striking out on his own. Landry has never known a home, or family. She, too, has been on her own, never having found her place.
Paxton is a panther shifter who happens to stumble upon his mate after she has been hurt.
Absolutely loved Landry and Paxton’s story. Her she bitch was hilarious! It was almost like getting two stories in one. Throw in a witch and a hybrid and you have an awesome Tale! Darlene is a fairly new author to me and I’ve loved every single one of her books I’ve read so far! Shifter books are my preferred genre, but I have branched out in other directions and I’m so glad I did, and found Darlene!
This book was amazing. I’m a huge fan of shifter romance books and this definitely hit the top of my list. Paxton never thought he would finally meet his mate. What he didn’t expect was for Landry to literally fall into his lap. When another threatens everything, it will take all of them to bring him down. I’m excited to read more in this series and meet more interesting characters.
Loved Paxton and Landry’s story, it was well written and flowed perfectly with the plot twist and turns. Found myself laughing at the commentary both have with their Panthers.
This was a really fun book! I don’t usually read shifter books, but I loved this one! Darlene has done a wonderful job with this genre. The characters are engaging and I really enjoyed the plot line…..this was a totally entertaining, fast and hot read!!
This novella made me laugh, wet, and !!! Paxton is one hot, alpha Panther shifter and Laundry is a professional athlete, a marathon runner, whose life is suddenly turned upside down, life altering! Their connection was instantaneous, and my kindle was smoking!!! True mates and both of their panther sides kept me laughing outloud!
Another amazing read by Darlene Tallman! Can’t wait to see what comes next
This book is the reason I went back and read the previous Rogue Enforcers Books. I saw that this author was putting out a book in this series, and absolutely had to go back and read the other books! And I’m so glad I did. This series, although written by different authors, flows smoothly from book to book, providing an interesting glimpse into this world. I’ve totally enjoyed all of the stories, and Paxton was no exception! I adored Paxton & Landry!
Paxton has had a solitary life, leaving home as soon as possible due to a toxic situation. He left behind family, and all that he knew, striking out on his own. Landry has never known a home, or family. She, too, has been on her own, never having found her place.
I absolutely loved this story! There was so much going on, and it kept moving (I hate a book that stagnates!) There was an instant connection, between Paxton and Landry, and even though they tried to slow things down, it was undeniably HOT! Over all, it was a fun, interesting story that kept me laughing. In my book, that is a total win!
