Appearances can be deceiving.Ever since Amber Blackwood found her parents’ grimoires, she’s needed a place to hide the powerful spells from the malevolent Penhallow clan. But Amber has no clue where to start looking. When her cousin Edgar suggests the game Magic Cache, a magic-infused version of geocaching played by witches all over the world, Amber agrees to learn how to play. After all, a weird … play. After all, a weird plan is better than no plan.
When the magical search leads her to Marbleglen, “the safest town in Oregon,” Amber assumes her only problem will be dealing with the snooty residents. Instead, she gets caught up in a case where one man is dead and a second one is framed for the murder. To complicate matters further, the daughter of the framed man leads the Floral Frenzy Flower Festival Committee—the rival to Edgehill’s own Here and Meow—and she wants Amber’s help.
Joined by Chief Brown, Amber’s growing inner circle, and her new frenemy, Amber works to unravel the mystery to ensure the right culprit ends up behind bars and Marbleglen’s safety is restored. But Amber knows that even if Marbleglen’s mystery is resolved, a bigger danger lurks in the shadows. If the Penhallows claim the grimoires of Amber’s late parents, they’ll use the time-reversal spells within to stop the curse from ever poisoning their clan—and completely rewrite history.

Pawsitively Swindled by Melissa Erin Jackson is an amazing story to read. This is book number four in this amazing series that I have been hooked on since the beginning. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and cozy mysteries.

So much happened in this story! It was fantastic! There was a murder, lost memories, magic dead zones, super charged ley lines, magic cache searching, and lots of bad people involved! I couldn’t get enough!

The writing in Pawsitively Swindled is absolutely flawless. The story is well thoughtout and elaborate as a magical story can be. Anyoje new to the series should definitely read the series in order. Happy reading.

Our heroine is a witch, a fact she tries to keep that to herself. But this time her skills are not enough and she has to forge a tenuous alliance to bring the perp to justice.
This is book four of the series. The story is written as a standalone and works just fine on its own.
The story is well written and easy to read, with an intriguing mystery to solve. The setting and characters are well developed and that will shine through even if this is the first book in the series which you read. The interactions between the characters edged with little bits of humor continue to be the highlight of the story for me. Overall, a very entertaining read and I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended,

This new installment in the Witch of Edgehill series is a fun to read paranormal mystery. Full of wonderful characters. Lots of funny moments. When Amber needs to find a place to hide the family book of spells she finds new friends, sort of, and mysteries to solve. You will find yourself turning the pages to see what happens next.

Marbleglen and Edgehill are two neighboring, competing towns in general, but especially when it comes to their town festivals: Marbleglen the Flower Frenzy and Edgehill’s Here and Miow. A combined opening to smooth the strained relationship was not ideal – and let to Amber and her crew trying to solve a murder. Amber herself is a witch, and her personal story brings even more drama into the story, with a magic battle about some grimoires.
A funny and entertaining story, with a touch of magic added to the mundane cozy in a small town setting.
Definitely a fun read.

Amber is in Marbleglen with the Mayor and the Here and Meow Committee from Edgehill to discuss a cooperative event between the two rival communities. The meeting gives Amber a glimpse into what will develop into betrayal, conspiracy, and murder. Amber will need help from family, friends, and her special abilities to find the truth.

There’s no place like home.
So many books are so short these days. It makes the reader start to feel like what happened to all the really good authors? I know they are out there, but not nearly as many as there used to be.
This book is incredibly written and so insightful. The reader can easily envision this world and the characters. You feel so fully pulled into it that it feels very real. As a member of the “older adult” crowd, I find myself feeling drawn to this genre of magic and the way it mixes with the “normies”. I especially love that this book happens to focus on geocaching as well as magic. Two of my faves in one book, you can’t get any better than that! Or can you? I look forward to reading more from this wonderfully gifted author. What an excellent story teller!
Amber and the Here and Meow committee need to work with Marbleglen committee, it doesn’t go over very well. Amber is also working on her magic with Edgar, he is training her to hide the grimoires. Things are awkward with Jack, since he remembers everything that happened. Edgar has Amber looking for a magic cache, turns out she finds a witch in Marbleglen. She goes to the his house, they have a lovely conversation. He brings up his daughter, she is no other than the woman that gave her committee a hard time, Bianca. She shows up at her father’s house, Amber takes that as her time to leave.
Amber gets a call from Bianca, saying her father was arrested for killing the sheiff of their town. She tells him that he was drunk and doesn’t remember that time. He requests her help in trying to remember. At first Amber declines to get involved, than everything changes. She also has to worry about what Connor is really up to. And what is going on with the PenHallows as well
Things are really ramping for Amber, with her helping solving crimes, learning her magic, opening herself up. She is even meeting more witches. The only thing I am not to keen on is Edgar/ Kim, just seems to be a standard in books anymore. Would to see a new character for him.

Here we have a situation that could end up with more far-reaching dreadful consequences than just a cursed family’s reputation. Amber Blackwood lives in Edgehill. She is a witch who recently found her parents’ grimoires and the powerful time spells they contained. The evil Penhallow clan’s magic has been cursed, so they have been relentlessly looking for those grimoires so they can travel back in time and prevent their clan’s cursed magic. If they succeed, their interference could change history!
Going to the neighboring town of Marbleglen looking for a safe hiding place for the books, Amber gets caught up in a murder investigation. She had met another witch there, Simon, who is arrested for murdering Chief Jameson. Simon’s daughter, Bianca, a “frenemy” rival on the opposing Festival Committee, asks for Amber’s help. Simon had called Bianca the night of the Chief’s party and murder to tell her he thought he had been drugged. They wanted Amber’s help because her dad knew she had “memory magic” and there is a black hole in his mind from about 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., when he woke up in the back of a cop car. Amber has to find the real murderer to exonerate Simon who is obviously being framed. Who could have murdered the Chief? And why?
The book is well-written with engaging characters and a great mystery with lots of suspects! Join Amber in tracking down the guilty party and finding justice for the victim! And will she find a good place to safely hide her grimoires?
I liked Amber and her world. It was really interesting. The characters kept me busy. I liked the dialogue and the way the author wrote the scenes.

Top-Notch Cozy Paranormal Mystery
This episode starts where episode three left off. The reader really needs to read these books in order, you’ll be glad you did. I just finished binge-reading all four episodes and loved every minute of it. The only downside was that I had read all of the series that is currently written. There is nothing that I dislike about the series. All of the characters have normal quirks that they can grow out of over time. The magic comes across as on a normal level as opposed to omnipresent being. There is a good amount of humor, some crankiness, and embarrassing moments. There is none of the boring who wore what, how to cook that, or this wine pairs with whatever. There is, however, cats, flowers, toys, and friendships. I can’t recommend this series enough. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
This is a well written witchy mystery with strong characters and an entertaining story line. Both the characters and story line are well developed and the story moves quickly and smoothly. The author brings a heartwarming mystery that had me hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

If you’ve read the first three books in the series you probably know what to expect. A funny and smart witchy cozy mystery with lots of cats and cakes and a murder or two. In one word: adorable.
All the characters are well-developed and lovable. The story flows nicely and it is exciting and interesting. I love everything about this book and I honestly couldn’t say one thing I didn’t like.
Oh and I absolutely love the this happened so far” start of the book. I find that I need a little reminder if I start the next book in a series. Thank you for it.
So I raced through this book and can hardly wait for the next one.
Amber’s adventures became one of my favourite series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Ringtail Press for my copy.
I’ve really gotten into cozy paranormal mysteries lately, and I was glad to see this one. I’ve read the other three, this being the fourth installment, and they were great fun. I dived into this one knowing I was going to have a good time. I didn’t know just what a great time it would be. I have to admit that I generally enjoy just about everything I read; I read so fast I tend to not catch some things that annoy others. However, this book is one that I really lost track of time reading, and I haven’t done that for a long time mostly because my teens are so loud I can’t tune them out. This book was so much fun: great writing, wonderful characters I’ve come to adore, an engaging mystery, and a heartwarming glimpse of why family means so much. I wish this series could go on and on. Give this one a try; you won’t regret it! Highly recommend!! I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
