4 1/2 Stars. I stopped reviewing books some time ago because I tend to be too harsh. But I had to give this one credit. With so many novels around where the main characters are unlikable or un relatable, it was good finding a heroine passionate for a good cause. That made up for the parts I would’ve done differently and where I had to really suspend disbelief. I’m not strictly a dog person, but I deeply enjoyed the moments when the dogs show their personality, so lively and real. I can only imagine how much a dog-lover would take delight in this book.
Meh! It was ok but it all reminded me of a Lifetime movie I once watched except the Lifetime movie had more doggie interaction, which made it all more enjoyable to watch. The doggies in this book were more like window coverings. Anyway, none of the characters interested me enough to continue with the series so this is it for me with this series.
Paws for a Kiss is the first book in the Canine Cupids series, each book is a stand alone issue and doesn’t have to be read in order. This book has good characters, a pull at your heart plot, some snarky dialogue, cats and dogs. The H/H both have an issues that make you shake your head but at least there is a HEA. If you like animals and rescue then this book is for you.
I enjoyed the book except for the sex scene. It really wasn’t necessary for the story. It upst me when the “f” word was used. It was in the last several pages that it was used. I always read the warnings for sex and language and avoid those books. There was no warning on this one!
I absolutely adored this book. Stephanie Rowe is a terrific writer; her characters come to life, and different facets of the storyline weave together beautifully. A romantic comedy, this book will have you laughing and crying and sighing in exasperation and excitement. An absolute must-read for all rom-com lovers!
Cute
Very cute love story
Another great book
I do not want to tell much about the story. Suffice it to say, I really loved this book. Can’t afford others in the series. But give this one a piece of your time if you like dogs and romance!
I love happy ever after, funny love stories! This was great!
This was a very enjoyable read. It kept me at a happy place most of the time.
Great book!!!
Since I love animals, I enjoyed the book!
Any story concerning animals with a good ending is a winner. Fun, interesting and entertaining read.
Enjoyed!
Very nice, sweet story. Moves fast. Love the animal tie-in, but wish the book had gone further after they hook up and the shelter is hers. Seemed to just end so abruptly.
Excellent, enjoyable read.
Enjoyed this. Now to read the others in the series.
Fast ready with a nice entertaining story.
not a winner. a wimpy heroine and a predictable story. don’t bother with it.
