Passenger 19 is Silver Winner 2016 Florida Book AwardUSA Today best-sellerAmazon best-sellerJammer Davis has spent most of his life investigating aircraft accidents. When a small regional jet disappears over the jungles of Colombia, it is a tragedy like dozens of others he has seen but for one terrible detail: his young daughter, who was en route to a semester abroad in South America, is listed … daughter, who was en route to a semester abroad in South America, is listed on the passenger manifest.
A distraught Davis rushes to Bogota and bulls his way into the inquiry. When the wreckage is located, it becomes clear the crash was unsurvivable. As the investigation gains momentum, the facts go astray. Two pilots had been shot before the crash, along with one passenger. The possibility of a hijacking looms large as the search begins to focus on two passengers who boarded the plane, yet their remains cannot be found.
Davis uncovers an even more sinister plot behind the entire disaster one that goes to the highest levels of the United States government. But how could it possibly involve his daughter?

Wasn’t sure I’d like this action driven book about a crash site in Bogata,Colombia….but this guy Jammer Davis is something to behold. His boss sends him to see a small downed plane as Jammer is an investigator of smaller planes crashes……but he is sent because his only child, Jen, was on the plane.
You see the debris field through Jammer’s eyes and learn what to look for and why. Questions arise, bodies are missing, there are bullet holes inside the plane. Drugs, kidnapping, not enough gas, corrupt police are all possibilities.
The author draws you in to the point you also look at the plane, at the seats, the crushed areas, and I was amazed at the importance of each detail. The seatbelt scene is an eye opener! From there, two girls appear to be missing from the wreckage…his daughter and another girl similar in age and build.
A father looking for his daughter, a dead secret service agent, police with own agenda, DEA agents, CIA and a lot of paranoia. This book moves and has some funny moments just when the tension peaks and tons of information that is fascinating. Men will crave this read but I have to say, women should give this a whirl….no graphic violence or sex as it doesn’t need it…..more like a James Bond American style with much lower end weapons. This works and I loved the ending.
Wonderful edge of the seat thriller. I loved this book.
he is a great writer
This is a combination of a procedural mystery and a good action story. Suffice it to say that father out to protect his daughter is unstoppable, even in remote South American jungles and in the face of determined official corruption. I likes thes book!
Loved it.. love all his books!
Very entertaining book
It kept your interest and to wonder what was going to happen.
The steadfast character of Jammer made this otherwise discouraging book, worthwhile.
Twists, turns, surprises. My kind of story.
An easy read that was initially suspenseful but thankfully did not drag out the hidden motive once it started to become clear . A fairly predictable ending
Not near as intriguing as I had hoped. Really drags at times
I really enjoyed this book…it was difficult to put it down each night. A mystery that had many turns in the road, all meant to grab hold of the reader and carry her along until the mystery is solved. A good read.
Unique and clever story line than ordinary lone-hero vs bad guys but unfortunately devolves into formulaic ending where only the villain(s) loses anything or anyone. Interesting to read but somewhat predictable ending.
Unrealistic, boring
First off, it is well written, professionally edited or simply self-edited by someone very smart. The facts were either well researched or the author knew all the snippets personally. Strong characters, great story, lot of twists and turns. After reading this book, I immediately went out and bought a second book by the same author with the same main character. I’m liking that one too. Different.
FANTASTIC PAGE TURNER WITH EXCITING PLOT CHANGES OFTEN…
Another Ward Larsen classic, great action and a page turner. I couldn’t put it down.
As an old pilot it made the book better. Good reading!!
Loved it. Didn’t want to put it down
Truly enjoyed this novel
