On a Wednesday afternoon, I ask Trevor Bentley to marry me. He might be the most arrogant, obnoxious man I know, but I need him to be my husband for a year. There are reasons. He’s not going to be a real husband. Just part-time. Yes, I have to live with him. And, okay, I also have to share his bed. And, sure, he’s the sexiest and most exciting thing to ever happen to my controlled, organized life. to my controlled, organized life.
But still… It’s only a part-time marriage. I’m not going to give him my heart. I know what I’m doing, and I’m too smart to fall for my husband.
I hope.

Best book I’ve read in a while. Got so involved with the characters and raw emotions. Never knew what was going to happen next. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series. A must read, you won’t put this one down.
The Trophy Husbands series is a good series, with well-written characters and convincing interactions. I enjoyed this one so much I bought the 3rd in the series for full price, even though they are about 140 pages. This is a good romantic series.
Set reality aside and enjoy. I really liked how these two characters grew in the story. I look forward to her sister’s stories in future books. Parts of it I struggled with motivations … but they all got explained/ resolved. Loved the happy ending. Some of the sex was really well written … some of it got repetitive so I started skimming/skipping. Not always needed.
I was not sure about this book in the beginning, but I loved it! The characters are real and I was rooting for them both. A lovely, fun read.
It was great
not how you would expect the book to go, but after reading it, it went the way it “should” go. Fun to read and would recommend.
Clearly a steamy read. H is a very assertive, bold & confident businessman who has cared for h although she does’t know it. The h’s grandpa is a crusty character who demands to be in charge & have his own way over making money. Some people are almost impossible to impossible to have a relationship with & still remain your own person. h marries the one man that most upsets her grandpa in order to live her own life & protect herself & her sidsters. There are multiple ups & downs & is well written with interesting characters.
Melissa’s grandfather has belittled her and demeaned her. Trevor is the opposite and — happily — she figures out that she is entitled to be treated with love and respect.
As an “Oh, yeah? Watch this.”-kinda girl myself, I liked the response to her boss/grandfather’s demand that she marry or lose her job. She goes to the guy Grandpa hates the most and makes him an offer he can’t (and doesn’t want to) refuse.
Love this author!
Loved it!
I really liked this story. But didn’t need explicit sex.
Quit this book when the granddaughter lies to her manipulative, interfering granddad. Didn’t like either character. He was a jerk, She was a liar.
I loved the story, but I did have to skip a lot of steamy parts. The story would have great without the steamy parts.
An enjoyable story. Kinda predictable, but still cute. The ending was a nice happy one. Though I might have like more emotions from the characters before the show the. But still enjoyed it.
Both I’m each have their baggage and are the way they are because of loss and hurt. Trevor for all the hardships he fought to get to where he is today’s and Melissa for the loss of her parents at a young age. They both ha e fortifying walls around their hearts. I liked the story. You see that Trevor is only putting on a front from early on but that he is a good guy at heart. It just takes Melissa awhile to see it. I like how they slowly break each other down. Everyone has bad days and they worked through it. Can’t wait for sams book.
I loved how both characters grew and evolved and eventually let down their guard with one another. Super fun spin on the marriage-of-convenience trope!
I originally chose three stars but as I wrote my review and thought more about it, I had to change my rating to two stars.
This was okay. It wasn’t my favorite romance novel but it was fine. I don’t love first person narratives in any genre but particularly in this one. And I could see where Noelle Adams was going with certain points and plot lines but they kind of missed the mark with me. It was lacking the nuance of years of emotional baggage for both Trevor and Melissa, even though it tried. Pops is a despicable character and I do not understand why anyone would bend over for him like Melissa does – even in the name of family. It almost seems out of character because Melissa comes across as strong in other areas.
It was a quick read but it isn’t something I’d recommend. I’ve read better in this genre.
A good read when you want to relax.
Loved the twists!
