On a Wednesday afternoon, I ask Trevor Bentley to marry me. He might be the most arrogant, obnoxious man I know, but I need him to be my husband for a year. There are reasons. He’s not going to be a real husband. Just part-time. Yes, I have to live with him. And, okay, I also have to share his bed. And, sure, he’s the sexiest and most exciting thing to ever happen to my controlled, organized life. to my controlled, organized life.
But still… It’s only a part-time marriage. I’m not going to give him my heart. I know what I’m doing, and I’m too smart to fall for my husband.
I hope.

A modern take on the fake-marriage trope that works really well. Ambitious Melissa’s old-fashioned grandfather, head of the restaurant empire she works for and cares passionately about, insists that she get married or he’ll take away her job and cut her younger sisters’ financial support. So she marries a smart, ambitious, gorgeous adman who’s suitable in every way but one: Gramps hates him. Fun ensues, and the predictable chemistry. Well-written emotional angst, interspersed with funny bits. Good pacing, lively dialogue, yummy sex scenes.
This one took me by surprise as my first read by Noelle Adams. I must say 4.5-Stars for Part Time Husband as a great kickoff to the Trophy Husbands Series. Even though it’s a full length story it is fast paced and can easily be read in one sitting, you probably won’t be able to put it down anyway. It’s the typical storyline for a enemy to lovers romance yet the author adds so much more with their steamy, sexy, hot encounters and I can’t not mention the amazing witty, snarky banter-filled conversations between Melissa and Trevor. Melissa had alot to deal with in her family and professional life which causes her to be somewhat jadded. Trevor is cocky, overly self confident, smug, obnoxious but also romantic, hot, sweet, sexy, just plain old swoon-worthy! When Melissa propositions & proposes to Trevor follow their rollercoaster ride to a HEA by one-clicking the most certainly recommended Part Time Husband!
I am voluntarily leaving this voluntary review, but for full disclosure I did receive an review copy, ARC, of this book.
Melissa Greyson has only wanted one thing out of her life and that was to work at her grandfather’s company. After seven summers of interning, he finally gives Melissa the full time job she worked so hard to obtain. Six months ago, Melissa advanced to an executive position. She works hard, often working fifty to sixty hours a week, but she believes in what she does even though half the staff hates her and thinks she is cold and heartless. Her grandfather though, wants more for her and is about to downgrade her job responsibilities to give her more time husband hunting. So, what is a woman to do under these circumstances? Lie of course! She knows what man would get under her grandfather’s skin the most, Trevor Bentley, the most arrogant infuriating man she knows. Now, she just had to convince Trevor of all the reasons why a marriage of convenience could work out perfectly for the both of them. Trevor is really hot though and that could spell trouble, but she is all in and hopefully she could keep her hands to herself in the process.
Melissa, for me was an interesting character. She comes off quite cold and practical, but you can see that she cares deeply for her family and would do anything for them, even her old coot grandfather whom she loves dearly. She looks to a marriage in name only as a business prospect and nothing more. Even though she feels an attraction to Trevor, she tries to keep her cool around him and not let on how much she really does want him. I couldn’t wait for her Melissa to finally open up and let down her guard and to realize that maybe her grandfather was right all along.
Trevor is confident, committed and cocky. Did I forget to mention, really really hot, too? There is nothing like a strong alpha man that just has the right mix of power and playfulness to make me swoon. He is also really loyal and often times stands up for Melissa when her grandfather treats her badly (he does it out of love though!). I think every girl needs a Trevor in her life.
The banter between Melissa and Trevor is really quite funny and endearing at the same time. You know they are both attracted to each other, but Melissa tries her best to fight it. Is she fighting a losing battle? I mean come on who can resist Trevor. I know I couldn’t!
Part-Time Husband by Noelle Adams is a fun, light and easy read that will entertain you and have you rooting for a happily ever after between two characters you know are destined to be together. A marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes in romance and Noelle Adams has written an outstanding introduction into the Trophy Husbands series.
I really enjoyed this quick sexy and funny read. I would give it a 4 stars and highly recommend to others. The characters in the story were well put together and I didn’t feel the story was rushed at all even though it was on the shorter side of most books I read. This is the first book I have read by this author but I enjoyed her writing style and will be looking up more books of hers in the near future.
Melissa and Trevor are not enemies.. but they are not fond of one another.. well maybe they know each-other as being attractive but beyond that they try not to cross paths at all cost. But when desperate times cause Melissa to seek desperate measures both of there lives will be upturned. Can Melissa prove to her grandfather that she can be married and keep her job? Can Trevor prove to Melissa once and for all that he is not a bad guy?

I really liked the plot. It’s easy to read. And still keeps you reading, because you want to know how it ends
OMG! Love this story! And I adore Trevor, what a romantic guy. This book made my heart happy.
Loved this twist – strong women taking control of their lives is awesome –
This steamy romance is funny and and a great read.
I loved Melissa’s strength and Treavor’s instant loyalty to her. I can’t wait to read as the sisters find their HEA and what about Pop?
Lovely story of beautiful love!
No commitment. It’s stated that he is a jerk, she’s a loyal daughter and her father is mean. But they aren’t convincing–one instance does not make a pattern of behavior. It’s just sex and a semblance of a plot.
Great book.
12/16/2020 “Part-Time Husband” (nook) is an angsty love story where the female (Melissa) asks the male (Trevor) to marry her. I enjoyed their journey from ‘marriage of convenience’ to a happily-ever-after. There is also heartache, anger and forgiveness for Melissa and Trevor. I would like to rate this story at 4-1/2 stars.
Noelle Adams doesn’t disappoint. She’s a master storyteller!
Steamy and fun to read.
I loved this book. I’ve found a new writer.
A little too graphic with the love story. Not needed!
Surprisingly good read!
Of course we all knew how it would end as a happily ever after but the fun part was how they got there. Great characters and very enjoyable
Great story.
Loved it! A wonderfully entertaining read. I will keep reading this series.
Fabulous book!
