Welcome to the all new K9 Files series reconnecting readers with the unforgettable men from SEALs of Steel in a new series of action packed, page turning romantic suspense that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling author Dale Mayer. Pssst… you’ll meet other favorite characters from SEALs of Honor and Heroes for Hire too! Heading back to Iraq was never in Parker’s plans … plans …
But, when his brother is killed in action, he makes the journey to bring his brother back home to his final resting place.
When one of the K9 War Dogs disappears at the military airport in transit, and all attempts to locate him fails, Parker agrees to investigate during the few days he’s there.
Sandy is making the same journey as Parker—both of their brothers were killed in the same incident. Both brothers had been the best of friends, but this is the first time she’s met Parker. From that initial moment, she realizes something odd is happening in his world. When they find a K9 dog in a rebel stronghold, she’s sucked into a much more dangerous trip than one of compassion and grief.
There’s a reason why the first investigation didn’t turn up anything. … As Parker rattles cages and shakes up a ring of thieves, the bodies start dropping, one by one.

An amazing action-packed read that kept me on the edge of my seat with well-defined characters, twists and turns, ups and downs and so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading until it ended. I loved the undeniable chemistry between Parker and Sandy as they travel to Iraq to bring their fallen brothers home and also find Samson, a K9 war dog who disappeared from a military airport. Ms. Mayer has given us another winner in her must-read K9 Files series and I look forward to reading book seven. I received an advance reader copy of “Parker” and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Loved it! Finding Samson was pretty easy but the rest was anything but. Action packed and keeps you wondering who else is involved in the mess that Parker and Sandy have stumbled into.
Ass in the connection that Sandy and Parker have and you have a definite winner!

What had seemed a simple but tragic journey to return home with their brothers bodies turned into a nightmare involving attempts on their lives, espionage and danger.
Parker and Sandy also used their short time in Iraq to search for missing K9 Samson.
This is a really well written and exciting story which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Oh yessss…. this one is a full of action and suspense read, the kind of book that got me on edge and got my anxiety off the roof for expecting something bad happens again, definitely my kind of book, absolutely love it. Not just full of actions but also plenty touching moments that got me teary.
Great story, great characters, great chemistry, awesome K-9 dog, oh yeah you absolutely need to read this book.

He was also on the plane with Sandy who was Parkers brothers best friend also killed in the line of duty. He’s heard alo t about Sandy but he was glad to be with someone who understood.Parker was asked by Badger to try an find a missing war dog. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what’s next by this multi talented author.

I can always count on Dale Mayer’s books to have unusual plots, lots of action, unusual, complex and unpredictable plots, and, of course, a happy ending.
Parker and Sandy are the main characters in this book. Parker is a Navy SEAL and Sandy is a Navy nurse. Both of their brothers were friends who were killed in the same incident. Parker and Sandy are in Iraq to escort their brothers’ coffins back home.
While Parker is in Iraq, Commander Cross asks Parker to use his spare time to look for a retired K9. The dog had disappeared from his crate on the tarmac where he was waiting to be shipped back home. Parker invites Sandy to come with him while he looks for the dog.
That brings big trouble to the couple when they are considered witnesses to a crime. Parker and Sandy are viciously attacked over and over during their stay in Iraq.
This is a page-turner that contains non-stop action and intrigue. The author keeps the reader on pins and needles to the very end. Will they return home safely with the K9 doge? Who are the villains? What are they doing that they want to keep secret?
You will be surprised until the very end!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a great addition to the series. I so enjoyed reading it. I was able to read this in one sitting. The story was very well written to where it seem more like a movie than a book. I was able to picture the action in my mind. I enjoy reading books better than watching a movie as you are able to get into the characters’ mind and see how they are thinking in a given situation.
This story was a very sad one for me. Both Parker and Sandy are heading to Iraq to retrieve their brothers, who were best friends. Both were killed in action. Parker was asked to look into the disappear of Samson, a War Dog, that was decommissioned and to go to a family to live in peace. Sandy goes with Parker when he goes looking for Samson to get away from the base and the gloom surrounding her there. They find Samson and that is where the suspense and intrigue really starts for these two.
This story is written in a dual POV format. Getting into Sandy and Parker’s mind was really heartfelt at times. There were a couple of moments where the emotions that these two were going through really got to me. I really felt so attuned to the characters that I teared up.
There was one sexy scene that was very brief and highly glossed over so I really don’t think that anyone should be offended but I would recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18.
Just when you thought it was safe…. When Parker heads back to Iraq, it’s to pick up his brother’s body and to try to find Samson, a missing K9 war dog. Sandy has also gone to the base to pick up her brother’s body. As a distraction from their grief, Parker invites Sandy to accompany him on an initial search. Finding Samson went relatively smoothly, but staying safe until they leave is going to be much harder. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This book is very suspenseful. I didn’t want to put it down and read it in a little over a day. Their relationship is very believable. I love this book and I think that it is my favorite in this series. This book can also be enjoyed as a standalone.
When there’s only one person you know you can trust.
In this exciting and frustrating endeavor, Parker Cutter, whose war injuries had taken him permanently out of active military duty, has been working with Titanium Corp as an electrician and builder and is ten days away from his official discharge. The death of his brother, Jerry, has him on his way back to Iraq to accompany the body home after a military honor ceremony. On a since-you’re-going-there-anyway request from Geir, Parker has agreed to look for decommissioned War Dog Samson, who was last seen waiting to be boarded on a plane back to the U.S. from the same Iraq base to which Parker is headed. At takeoff time, Samson was nowhere to be found on the plane, at the airport, or at the base.
On the flight from California to Iraq, Parker meets Sandy, whose brother, Jeremy, and Jerry were best friends and died together in the same event. Both military themselves, Parker and Sandy share their belief that their brothers’ deaths are significant factors in their own decisions to leave the military. Both had done tours in Iraq and had friends in the town near the base there. Sandy has been a military nurse working in the US, but it was Jeremy’s influence that kept her in the service. Without him, she cannot see a future for herself there. With so much in common, Parker and Sandy form a bond that began from their shared grief, but then expanded as they worked together to find missing War Dog Samson. Frustrated by bureaucracy and black-market greed, they each find themselves to be the only ones they can trust through this whole ordeal. A real page-turner. Just could not put it down. Great read!

I really enjoy this K9 series. I’m a huge animal lover and combined with this author’s seals series make an awesome book. A HEA at the end is the icing on the cake. As long as Dale Mayer keeps writing, I’ll keep reading her books.
Each book in the series has kept my attention from start to finish. I started this particular book with high expectations as I have loved every book so far in the K9 Files! The story of Parker and Sandy and the K9 Samson went well beyond my expectations. . Any book with animals that are rescued is a major plus for me. The story in this book is so real to life. The fact that Parker and Sandy were sent to bring back their deceased brothers who were killed while serving in the military was very eye opening and the story-line seemed so accurate that I was close to tears when reading it. The book centered around rescuing the military dog but also had some action, suspense and romance too. I loved this book and I look forward to reading the next in the series!

I love this K9 series and devour each one, this was no exception.
Parker and Sandy meet under tragic circumstances. There’s danger all around them, what have they stumbled into? They can’t seem to get a break and are on the run for their lives. Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys….that’s the major issue here. The rescue of the K9 revolves around the entire plot. Great exciting story and interesting characters, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Parker and Sally came to know one another under the saddest of circumstances, each of them on their way to Iraq to bring home the body of a beloved brother.
Parker had also been tasked with finding a decommissioned war dog Samson, who had gone missing from the airport on base before he could be loaded on a plane for a new home in the States. The
As they navigate the military protocols and procedures to collect their brother’s caskets and escort them stateside, Parker and Sally rely on one another to stay strong in the face of their grief.
The couple became even more interdependent when they discovered a murder on the Iraq base and soon find themselves the targets of a gang of smugglers operating there.
It will take all three of them — Samson included– to survive the hours ahead and hopefully live to start a new life together, if they ever return home.
This is a quick, fun read for fans of military dramas and for dog lovers. The romance is sweet and counteracts the tremendous sadness that brings this three some together in the beginning.
I found the beginning slow and difficult, but the story redeemed itself with a few twists and turns and unexpected action.
A story of heartbreak, pain, friendship and support. It also has love, passion, and emotional drama. This story will grab your emotions and keep you reading until the very end. The characters are well developed and at times you are unhappy and so sad, but you can’t help but love and feel close to them. I enjoyed reading this book. I received this book as a gift and I voluntarily give this review.
Parker by Dale Mayer
K9 Files Series Book Six
Parker Cutter is heading to Iraq after his brother was killed, along with his crew. While there, the Titanium Corp has asked him to search for a missing War Dog. Samson. Since his brother’s best friend was killed in the same incident, his friend’s sister, Sandy, flew with Parker to the base. It was supposed to be easy. Fly in, stay for a service, fly home with the bodies. Look for Samson when he could. Nothing is ever that easy…
Sandy Bressard, a nurse in the military…stateside. She’d heard about Parker from her brother. Knew he was a good guy. She was glad she wasn’t alone on this journey that she felt she had to make. Ends up, she’s really glad she has Parker at her side.
Both Parker and Sandy will be ending their military service in the next few weeks. Their brothers’ deaths helped decide that for both of them. What they didn’t expect was what trouble they accidentally fell into when searching for a lost dog. Another page-turning adventure from beginning to end.

This is book 6 in the K-9 Files series and it features Parker and Sandy. These two are flying to Iraq to escort each of their brothers back home for their funerals. Well there, Parker was asked to find a retired and missing canine agent. The fantastic adventure that followed the search was full of mystery and suspense but drug on much too long. The romance definitely need more spice than a kiss on the forehead and talks about forever and all this in one day. I understand being put in danger repeatedly can bring two people together but constant adrenaline rushes should have spiced it up instead of making them tired all the time.
The suspense and intrigue were fantastic. The romance definitely needed more…a lot more!
I’ve read most of the books in this series and this one was just as good as all the rest. I love the way the team supports each other and looks out for the best interest of the war dogs. The plot is well developed and the characters are great.

Parker and Sandy are both heading back to the war zone to bring their brothers home, they have never met but know of each other as their brothers were best friends and served together. What should have been a straight forward fly in and fly out turns into a twisted web of lies, betrayal, stealing and death that all starts with Parker looking for Samson. Who knew looking for 1 dog could blow open the evil that was lurking at the base, as well as throw two people together who needed someone else to lean on during their loss and have sparks fly as well.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well written and the story kept my interest. I don’t often get surprised in books but this one kept surprising me and in a good way.

For most, coming home at the end of active duty service leaves one with memories of good and bad, friends and loss. For Parker, the war has not released him as he faces more loss. He must head back to the battlefield in Iraq where his brother, Jerry, has fallen in combat and a missing K9 (Military War Dog) is lost, dognapped or on the run. A four legged war Hero, this dog deserves to come home.
Sandy is packing for a trip to Iraq to bring her fallen brother home. Though she has not met Parker, their brothers were best friends and were killed in the same action. Altho she is a military nurse, nothing truly prepares one for loss of a loved one.
As Parker and Sandy prepare to travel to Iraq, neither one could imagine what they were going to find there and the dangers they would face.
Parker is Book 6 in The K9 Files by Dale Mayer. In her true fashion, Dale’s writing will pull you in and will not release you until long after you have turned the last page.
