ParkI’m a coward. I’ve hidden for the last decade because I can’t tell her the truth. She was my best friend, the greatest love of my life. When it was finally our time, it was all ripped away, ruined by something out of our control. If I can’t have her then I’d rather be alone, or at least that’s what I thought. One look was all it took. One word and I was obsessed. But friends are all we can … obsessed.
But friends are all we can ever be.
Or does fickle fate have one last card to play?
Because love is friendship set on fire.
Rosie
I’m pathetic. For years my best friend has bullied me into doing all manner of stupid, reckless things. This road trip is just another one of them.
Deceit led me to him, but now old lies and new truths could destroy everything.
In a small town, he showed me how big the world was, and now I can’t breathe without him.
He’s my friend, but that’s all he can ever be.
Except, in the blink of an eye the lines between friendship and love have blurred.
Now he’s not just my friend, he’s become my home.

I see this author growing with every single book and her writing just gets better each time. I’ve almost read every book in this series and I have my favorites but Park comes very close 🙂 It’s not your typical MC book but it’s really worth the read. For me, it’s really worth to pick up and read; you may end up falling in love with the story just like I did.
Park has been through a lot growing up and has been in love with the same girl ever since but they never really stood a chance. After finding out a terrible secret, he has left the only town he’s known and tries to do the best he can to get past it all but it isn’t that easy and he’s haunted by the truth for a long time. One night changes it all but he doesn’t know what to do about it and when the one girl he has tried to forget stumbles back into his life, he doesn’t know what to do. More secrets are laid to bare and finally he’s able to figure out what should’ve been done a long time ago. But when he meets Rosie, there’s something that ties them together but both don’t know what to do with what they’re feeling. Even though they start a great friendship and hold back what they really feel, there’s still stomething that they need to work out. Will Park finally break away from his past?…
Definitely not your typical MC book, and honestly it was refreshing! Don’t get me wrong, I love MC books, but Park is not the typical bad boy, biker. He’s sweet, charming and absolutely loveable. I love that both Park and Rosie seemingly recognized how they felt about each other early on, and that it didn’t take much of a push for either of them. Park faced his past head on, which made for an easy path to an HEA.
“You gave me a rainbow of color in a world of black and white.”
This quote describes this book perfectly! Park was stuck in the past of what could of been and betrayal, until Rosie turns his world upside down. Once she enters his life, he’s seeing color and possibility of being happy. I just reread this book and I absolutely love it. It got better with the second read because i was able to pick up more details. This book is part of a series, and its best if the series is read in order. I honestly cannot say enough about these books, they are so good!
Park my handsome Irish man, love him.
Gemma really brought something different with Park’s story.
This series just gets better.
Roll on Smoke, cant wait for more.
Park’s anguish over his love for Taylor was truly felt from the pages. It went back to his past so we knew in more detail about his relationship with Taylor, which i loved. Right from the start i did not like her and knew she wasn’t the kind of women truly meant for Park. In comes Rosie, i love this woman she is best friends with Taylor and instantly Rosie and Park are drawn to each other. They start a friendship and it is endearing and sweet which is something they both deserve after dealing with Taylor. She is one sick self centred woman. Park and Rosie have to overcome some obstacles before they can truly be together.
Loving this series, dont want it to end.
I absolutely loved Park and Rosie’s story. Archer’s creek is an MC series but it’s not the typical stories.
Park left his home in the hope of finding a place away from the madness of LA. He’s a tattoo artist and the Doomsday Sinners became his home. 10 years after leaving his past is about to catch up with him. The secret that has been haunting him all these years is about to come to ahead.
Rosie is a pushover. Her best friend walks all over her. Now she’s getting married and Rosie is about to be taken on the ride of her life.
When Rosie and Park meet they don’t realise how messy things are going to be. One lustful look is only the start.
Park is a sweet guy with a big heart. Rosie is a redhead who isn’t the usual type a biker would go for. Their story is forbidden but makes perfect sense.
I don’t want to give the secret of this book away which limits what I can say.
This is my favourite Gemma Weir book so far (I have one book to read). I really like this author. She’s created a family in the Archer’s creek world. It isn’t the typical MC but the characters are loveable and the sense of community works well. I would highly recommend this book. Each story can be read as a standalone but I would recommend starting at the beginning. The characters feature in each story and the read is enhanced by knowing who everyone is.
Paperback read. 5 out of 5.
Park and Rosie’s story was written beautifully. I loved the back story to Park and how his love for another woman brought them both together.
Unable to move on with his life because his love for Taylor is so heart wrenching to read. But when she comes back in to his life little did he know that his eyes would be open to so much more.
Rosie is your safe, girl next door charcter. When her friend is due to get married and tells Rosie that thry are going to NewYork, little did she know that her world would be turned upside down. Should she live on the edge or keep safe, stay with what she knows?
I loved the relationship they have. The friends that click instantly. One you know you will have in your life forever.
I so hope Smoke’s story comes next.
I’m in love with Park and Rosie’s story i just want more and more from this couple. This series is a must read the author gets the story and the characters spot on. With every sentence read just gets more addictive to read.
Holy crap I love this series!! This literally melted my heart whilst having me on the edge of my seat! The connection between Park and Rosie is just beautiful, honestly, legit, my heart skipped a beat every time they are together……their friendship flourishes….but is there more?
There is so much more to this story, the build up is breath taking! I know, it’s an MC book but it’s still breath taking!! I can’t say any more, in fear of giving spoilers! But seriously, if you have read the previous books in this series, you really need to read Park!
I hit the jackpot in new to me author reading with this one! Normally, I would never read a romance with MC elements out of order because the club itself has a journey on most occasions. I’m a blogger tho so there was no time for me to binge this series from the beginning. And this ”Because love is friendship set on fire.” sentence, taken from the blurb of the book, hooked me … so I dove in head first. I am happy to report, even tho I have not read any other book in this series, that this book’s soul purpose was to grow the romance journey. SO, if you’re wavering on whether this book can be a standalone, have no fear, yes it can, imo.
I am extremely pleased with this author’s voice and style! This story was sexy and heartfelt, mysterious and captivating, and hooked me from the very beginning. It touched my soul and made my heart smile. I honestly cannot wait to go back to the beginning of this series!
I received an ARC in return for an honest review. MC romances are my favorite genre. It was a good story but not as eventful as most MC stories. I appreciated getting to see the backstory of Park but I needed more of Park now and his club. It was a cute story but not what I was expecting.
