International Guy:Paris is a series of 12 novellas featuring Parker Ellis, Bogart Montgomery (Bo), and Royce Sterling (Roy). I was curious as to whether or not International Guy would be the male version of Audrey Carlan’s Calendar Girl. This series is very different from that series.
Told from Parker’s POV the story took me places I wasn’t expecting. The concept of International Guy is advising and ‘coaching’ wealthy and or famous people who need a little guidance. ‘Paris’ is fast paced. As the series kicks off we meet Parker Ellis, CEO of International Guy Inc. which he runs with his friends Roy and Bo. They each have a particular quality that they bring to the table for their clients.
“At International Guy, we cater to the client’s needs. No request is too demanding or too strange. As long as it’s not illegal…we’re in.”
Parker advises on life & love, also known as the Dreammaker, Bo on fashion is the Lovemaker and Roy on finance and business is the Moneymaker. Their current job is to assist perfume heiress Sophie Rolland as she steps into the role of CEO. I did not connect the way I had hoped that I would. There is some chemistry between Parker and Sophie but things go in several other directions. I was surprised. The writing is good, I just didn’t like a few situations.
It seems that the blurb indicates that Parker will be the main attraction with a side of Bo & Roy…..
“This International Guy knows that there’s a whole world waiting for him. But as he goes from city to city—and from woman to woman—it’s possible that he just might find his own love along the way…”
I am a huge fan of Audrey Carlan! I loved the Calendar Girl series and there are some similarities with International Guy’s Parker and Calendar Girl’s Mia, but they are not obvious. I hope that as International Guy moves forward it will develop deeper connections for Parker in his international journeys.

I have not read any of Ms Carlan’s books in the past, however I have heard good things about her so I decided to give her International Guy series a go.
I am still a bit confused what to call these guys. Motivational guys? Makeovers? Mah, whatever they are, I did enjoy IG: Paris.
I liked that our leading lady didn’t whimper and simper, she just needed guidance.
I do like Parker, Bo and Royce, though I wish we had gotten more of Bo and Royce – perhaps they are later on in the series
There is instant spark between Parker and Sophie, and things do heat up pretty quickly between them – though I did feel that Parker is pretty unprofessional the way he hits on his clients right away – but maybe this is just me.
IG Paris is a sexy Parisian romp, and I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.
Audrey Carlan is heating things up with her new series. Three hot men…The Dreamer, the Money Maker, and the Lover run a business helping you with your every want, need, or desire. These best friends have something special that they share with the world. In Paris, they help their client Sophie in and out of the boardroom. This story is wicked hot, sexy and sweet. The commentary between the men will have you laughing your head off. Everyone needs to read this funny, friendly, and inspiring story to find out why all firsts should end with a kiss.
Ahhhhhh Paris, the city of love. You just know things are going to heat up here in the city! I loved this start to Audrey Carlan’s new International Guy series. It was sexy and fun. And I absolutely love when we get to read books from a guy’s POV! I can’t wait to get to know Parker, Bo & Royce better!
It was a great start to a great series!
This is a new series by the author. This is the first book of the series and you meet Parker, Bo, and Royce they run the company International Guy and help clients improve areas of their lives. It’s a page turner that I would recommend to others. It’s a quick easy read.
Professional was thrown out of the window and I dunno… Just didn’t feel this novella. Oh, also, this is sort of a foundation for the next 15(?) books in this series that apparently goes from romance to all all-out action and murder. Eh! ¯\(°_o)/¯
1.5 Stars!
I love this kind of story–sweet, happy ending, easy to read. Sophie and Parker have incredible chemistry. I hope we will see more of Sophie later in the series. I like the concept too–Men who really appreciate women and want to help them be the best they can be.
Warning…So bad that you should run away as fast as you can!
I honestly don’t know how anyone could rate any of the International Guy short stories above 3 stars and that would be generous. This series is listed as contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy. This book is as far from romance as possible! The story is told from the point of view of Parker Ellis. He and his two “player” friends run a business called International Guy. It is to help women empower themselves in any way they need (and can afford to pay) to be everything that they want to be. They are hired at the rate of $250,000 to help a young female CEO of a family owned perfume empire to embrace her inner self confidence. That doesn’t sound half bad however Parker is immediately attracted to Sophie and since he doesn’t sleep with clients because that would be unprofessional, he kisses her in a large department store on the first day there after telling her how beautiful she is then goes out drinking with his partners, picks up some random young woman, doesn’t learn her name and has sex with her multiple times. He then walks the stranger to the door of his hotel room and the CEO and one of his partners are waiting outside for him. Yeah, this is the kind of guy that every woman dreams about…NOT! He also fantasizes about a model/actress every time he sees her billboards and she will be the next woman in the series. Thankfully I got this book for free and only lost the time and brain cells that it took reading this garbage. Do yourself a big favor and avoid this series and author like the plague that the guys in it possibly carry due to their worldwide sexual exploits!

Paris (International Guy #1) by Audrey Carlan is the first novella in the twelve novella International Guy series. The series follows Parker Ellis, co-owner and operator of International Guy Inc., as he and his partners, Bo and Royce, cater to elite clientele.
Location: Paris, France
On the job: Parker, Bo, and Royce
Client: Sophie Rolland, age 24, heiress to perfume empire, The Rolland Group.
Assignment: Get her ready to take the helm of the company after her father’s passing. Teach her the art of being a CEO, running a business, looking the part, and taking charge of her life professionally and personally.
Parker and Sophie have an immediate attraction and end up connecting sexually while he’s in Paris. They develop a bond and when the job is over they decide to keep in contact – as friends only – without benefits.
I hadn’t read any of this author’s previous books before I decided to pick this one up. I figured since I have been on a romance kick lately that I would give it a whirl. I can honestly say I am not wowed by this author.
I am not trying to put down this author or say she isn’t a good writer. I have now only read one book of hers, but I will say there wasn’t anything overly impressive about her writing of this short story. Maybe that is the issue? It’s a novella of a story that could have been a great story had it been a full length book.
This is one of the books that is over as soon as it starts. I was left feeling a little ripped off in the meats and potatoes section of this book. There is no real character building or chemistry with these characters. I am not a fan of books that are all about the sex with a little bit of plot. That is what this felt like. For me, that isn’t romance.
If someone is looking for a quick sexy read that won’t require any real thought process or emotions, this is definitely a book they should read. (I know that sounds mean, but I am not meaning for it to.) Sometimes, we all could use a book that we can breeze through that won’t overwhelm us with emotions… This is most certainly one of those books.
Bonjour Paris! International Guy Inc. has arrived.
With a big payoff in mind, Parker Ellis, aka the Dreammaker, Bogart Montgomery, aka the Lovemaker, and Royce Sterling, aka the Moneymaker, take International Guy Inc. across the pond to the City of Lights, Paris, France. There they meet up with Sophie Rolland, heiress to the Rolland Group empire, and now head of the company since her father’s recent passing. She’s in over her head and in need of IGs specialized services. If she wants to run this company successfully, she’ll need to get things in order, starting with a head to toe makeover, clothes that speak to her power and beauty, a firm grasp of business operations and her staff, and her confidence, presence and business acumen on par with the most brilliant CEOs. Who better than this trifecta of gorgeous men to save the day?
Through the dreamy eyes of her characters, Audrey takes us on a journey of the senses in Paris. She describes the beauty of the garments in great detail, designers I’ve only dreamed of, not to mention the physical effect they have on Parker when gracing Sophie’s gorgeous curves. Audrey also has us envisioning the sights of Paris, the malls, the Eiffel Tower, the priceless artwork, even the beauty of the Parisian skies. When dining we can almost taste the wines, appetizers, and the culinary treats, our mouths watering with her description. But a story as told by Audrey Carlan would not be complete without the sexual tension and release she’s so well known for. Fear not readers, Audrey does not disappoint.
