Paris is back home but not for long.Emotionally gut-punched after false accusations lead to the loss of her job, Paris Cutler returns to her grandmother’s home in Destiny, California to take a breath and figure out what comes next. But when Paris runs into her old high school crush, she’s flustered by how great he looks. What’s he still doing in little, nowhere Destiny? Greg Frantz never forgot … Destiny?
Greg Frantz never forgot the pretty but troubled Paris. She’s grown into a beautiful and accomplished woman with a passionate nature that knocks him off his feet. Greg knows Paris sees the small mountain town as a temporary stop only, but he’d love to persuade her otherwise. What can he do to keep her close…permanently?

Great read! Loved Greg and how patient he was with Paris. Paris can’t make up her mind. The love Greg shows Paris and the inspirational words her grandmother says, makes Paris realize what life is really about.
Disgraced through no fault of her own, Paris returns home to her grandmother’s house to lick her wounds and to find a breathing space. Meeting up with Greg Frantz, who was once her teacher, but now the headmaster of the high school she attended, she discovers that the attraction she felt for him as a student is returned. Greg could never have acted on his feelings for Paris, but now that a number of years have passed and she has returned home, he does everything he can to draw her in. Paris has no intention of staying in the small town of Destiny, and as soon as she has another job, she plans to be on her way, but Greg is making it difficult to remain firm. Although a sweet, clean novel, I found Paris to be overly sensitive and felt that she over-reacted to situations that were in the past. It takes a bit of distance to make her understand all that she is losing but nevertheless the confrontation when it comes, is uncomfortable. The story is a standalone and does come to a good conclusion. It is also generally well written and makes one realise that there are as many problems in small-town life as there are in the cities. I think I was hoping for more from this book. Paris seems to have emotional issues. She gets angry for seemingly no reason. Blocks Greg from being able to call her, doesn’t sit down and discuss things that are upsetting her like a rational person. It’s like she’s bipolar. She goes from being a sweet and caring person to screaming and crying about someone that she hasn’t seen in years and was never close to. She was just not a character that I like that much. Greg seemed to do a full court press on her, which I found odd considering she told him she wasn’t interested in staying. I think the author was trying to bring in a lot of things that will tie into other books in the series but it made for a jumbled first book that was harder to read than it should have been. Unfortunately I don’t think I want to continue reading this series. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
This clean, sweet romance story was well written with characters that were so well rounded that I ended up reading this book in one sitting!
Paris Cutler due to family tragedy grew up in her Grandmother’s home in Destiny California. Due to some issues she had at a previous employer she is headed back to her grandmother’s house to recoup and get her life in gear.
Greg Frantz was Paris’s high school English teacher who is only 6 years older than her. She had a crush on him like most of the other girls in her grade. He is now the principal of the high school in Destiny. Paris’s aunt Jess works at the school and she literally ran into Greg. Their romance went on from there.
This was a quick read for me. I really wanted to like it a lot but for me it was ok. It seemed like Greg went stalker fast and Paris got crazy mad over the weirdest stuff and flew off the hook. Plus the whole time there was hinting that Greg and Aunt Jess were going to get married and that they had an in-depth relationship and in the end it was only a date or two. We also did not find out for the longest time why she was jobless. For some reason both of these things irked me. I suggest you read it for yourself and see if you like it. Sometimes my tastes are different than others. The imagery was great though I had no problem imagining the town and the scenery.

More like 4.5 stars. Not riveting, but a pleasant, clean read. Who hasn’t had a crush on a teacher? Teenager April certainly did; but now she’s all grown up and encounters her crush again, this time as the principal of her old high school. They embark on a journey to discover the extent of their mutual attraction. But, Paris is only in town to regroup and actively pursue a new job in the city. Can they overcome distance and career obstacles? Can Paris forgive Greg and Aunt Jess for the “secret” they’ve kept from her? Am looking forward to reading the next books in the series involving the secondary characters introduced in this book. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. In Paris in the Springtime, Paris Cutler has returned home to Destiny, California to stay with her grandmother and aunt while she searches for a new job. Upon returning to town, she runs into a former student teacher, Greg Frantz. Paris had a crush on Greg when she was in high school, but since he was a student teacher and several years older, it was just a teenage crush. Now Greg is the high school principal, and he has asked for Paris’ help in writing a grant proposal for the school. As they spend more time together, they get better acquainted and real feelings develop. But Paris has made it clear that her future is not in Destiny. Will love change her mind, or will she follow her plan towards independence?
Paris in the Springtime is a clean romance and an easy read. I liked Greg’s character — his openness with his feelings and his directness and honesty regarding what he wanted from their relationship and in his life. I don’t understand what he saw in Paris, though, other than physical attraction. I didn’t like her. She was selfish and unreasonable. She went overboard, lost her temper, and then cut off communication with people she loved over things that could be hashed out in a five minute conversation. She tended to play the victim. She overlooked important things, like failing to report seeing a suspicious person climbing out of a neighbor’s window, because she was busy thinking about small details in her own life. I just didn’t like her. Greg deserved better. The story itself was ok, but it wasn’t one that I was dying to find out what was going to happen next.
