“A fantastically fun, HOT love story.” – Kendall Ryan, New York Times bestselling author All I want is to play hockey on the Ice Knights, instead, I’m in a viral video for all the wrong reasons and my mom–yes, my mom–has taken over my dating apps. Then, when I think it can’t get any worse, the fates deliver Zara Ambrose, a five-feet-nothing redhead with more freckles than inches and who’d … freckles than inches and who’d rather be anywhere other than on a date with me.
Now a bet with her friends and my PR nightmare have us both stuck in this go-on-five-dates-with-the-same-person hell situation. But if we band together, we can get the whole thing over with and go on with our lives. It’s perfect! No feelings. No future. No fuc– *ahem* fun. No naked fun.
What could go wrong? Nothing–as long as I remember the rules. Don’t notice the way she looks in a dress. Don’t react when she does that little shivery sigh thing whenever we touch. Don’t think about the fact that she’s never had a toe-curling orgasm that wasn’t self-delivered and just how badly I want to change that.
Five dates–that’s it–and then we go our separate ways. At least, that was the plan…

Avery Flynn has scored another winner with Parental Guidance, the first book in her new Ice Knights series! This story was so much fun to read!
Caleb & Zara may have been opposites in many ways, but I loved these two together. Their chemistry couldn’t be denied. I loved their “dates” and how much fun they had together. You couldn’t help but root for these two and their HEA! I also have to give a shout out to Zara’s adorable Great Dane “Anchovy”. Loved him!
Avery brings on the sexy, sweet and fun times in Parental Guidance and I can’t wait for more in this series!
I was so excited to read Parental Guidance- this cover has been calling to me since the reveal. And I mean, what could go wrong when your parents set you up through a dating app? I’m sure that’s a recipe for success.
Zara doesn’t have TIME for a relationship, and she doesn’t think anyone can really satisfy her, anyhow. Caleb is just doing this for PR, and he’s kind of backed into a corner. I like seeing that he’s not too confident, he has insecurities like we all do. Plus these two can banter really well, and I love her doggy.
This was cute and fun to read, even if the idea of a team and your mom making you use a dating app and go on tv seem a little out there. But that’s part of the fun!
What can happen when your parent set up your dating profile and pick a date for you?
Disaster? Friendship? Love?
Parental Guidance has it what great book should have: great storyline, wonderful characters, a lot of humor, an animal ( dog) and crazy chemistry between characters (Zara and Caleb).
Flynn did it again. Thank you for another great book.
