Pardon Falls (The Phoenix Series book 2) by Kimberly Packard is a really great read!! You don’t have to read book one first, this can be ready as a stand alone but I suggest reading them in order. This book picks up right where the first one leaves off and you would have better background and detail going into those one if you read them in order.
I absolutely loved reading about the main characters in those story! This book is full of twists and turns, there are many nail biting moments that are full of action. There are some characters in this story I can’t stand. With all these emotions coursing through me makes this book sensational. I had to find out what happened, so if course I pulled an all nighter. After reading the first book in this series i expected this book to be good but I had no idea that it would be awesome. The author does an amazing job bringing you into the story that she has weave full of mystery, action, romance, heartache, and so much more. I cannot wait till I am able to read the next book in this series, I NEED to know what happens next!! I highly recommend this very entertaining and all around really great book.
Pardon Falls is book two in the Phoenix series by Kimberly Packard. It continues on with the dangerous and adrenaline fueled escapades of Amanda, David and Josh. Amanda has her work cut out for her. She needs David to forgive her and she also needs the help of her ex or none of them stand a chance against the evil that lurks around every corner.
Pardon Falls is a highly dramatic and energetic continuation of the adventures of Amanda and the sticky situations she gets herself into. She feels she needs to right all the wrongs that have occurred and will stop at nothing to bring a sense of justice to all those that suffered at the hands of greed.
Their journey was arduous and fraught with danger and many moments where my heart was in my throat. I reached the end too soon and cannot wait to see what is in store for them next. 5 stars.

Phoenix is the second book in the Phoenix series by Kimberly Packard. This is a brilliant suspense/mystery- which kept me guessing the whole way through. As it is a continuation of the story, it really should be read AFTER reading book one first. There is a lot of backstory, character information and other important facts laid out in the first book which I think are crucial to getting the most out of this read. This book picks up pretty much where Phoenix finished off, and we get to follow as Amanda heads off on the next stop/s of her adventure.
Aa we discovered in the first book, Amanda Martin had a life that most would have envied. That is until a phone call has her world spinning out of control and the life she’d worked so hard to create came crumbling down around her. She had been played, by her boyfriend and implicated in the misappropriation of millions of dollars. She ends up on the run before stopping to assess her situation in a small country town called Phoenix. She decides the town would make a great pit-stop in her journey. She soon finds a place to stay and a job at the local newspaper. Her job introduces her to the local police officer, David, and even though Amanda tries to keep her distance, their attraction wins out in the end. But danger isn’t far away, and Amanda finds herself in a few precarious situations while investigating a cold case for an article in the paper. Then there is the fact that the authorities are hot on her trail. As book one finishes, Amanda has had no choice but to flee once more- leaving David behind with the knowledge of who she really is and what she’d done.
In this book, Amanda is back on her mission to track down her ex-boyfriend, Josh, for his part in masterminding the whole fraud and for playing her as well. She hadn’t expected for it to take quite so long to locate him. She’s focused her search to Mexico and will have to be quite ingenious in the way she approaches her search, sneaking over the border and back, without being detected. But what happens when she runs into David who’s now working on Border Patrol? Will she be able to find Josh? What has Josh been doing all this time?
This story has so much going on, it really is a ride you won’t want to miss. Again there is danger and threats from various sources which will have you on the edge of your seat, reading along to discover what happens.
This is such a well thought out, intricately woven story full of inter-connected details that had me scrambling to figure it all out and find out what was going to happen next. The story is multi-layered with duel stories running simultaneously. The author orchestrated the whole thing brilliantly and I was completely engrossed by what I was reading. The story is told from several POV’s which gives the story so much more depth, drama, and interest.
I really can’t wait to dive into book 3- I am really hoping the author doesn’t make me wait too long before it’s released, and I can get my hands on it!
A fantastic addition to the series!
Thank you, Ms. Packard!
Pardon Falls was a thrilling 5 star read and book 2 in the Phoenix book series.
I was once again pulled right in and I couldn’t stop until I was done. We get alternating POV between David, Josh and Amanda.
Amanda is searching for Josh and is determined to find him and bring him in to the cops so she can clear her name. She has a PI helping her locate him.
David is looking for Amanda to bring her in to the Feds. He also had fallen for her and is a little heartbroken about how she left, why did she lie to him?
Josh is now working for Vargas a very dangerous and powerful man in Mexico. When Vargos confronts him about a woman who seems to be looking for him, things start to get a little complicated. What is she doing here? She is going to ruin his plans?
Things take some huge twists and Amanda, David and Josh all find themselves in a dangerous situation. Can these three get out safely?
Amanda is a very strong and determined character. I really liked David and I have to say I had some love and hate times with Josh as well. You have suspense, action, mystery and much more. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. I am really enjoying this series and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This book picks up right where book one, Phoenix, left off. While I suggest reading book 1 because its a great book, its not necesaary to read this book with the flashbacks it had.
I really loved this book, and couldnt turn the pages fast enough. With all the character happenings, and working together with one of the last people you’d think she would, Amanda surprised me!
Must read and CANNOT wait for book 3!

Pardon Falls by Kimberly Packard is the second installment of the Phoenix Series. This series must be read in order, as book two starts where book 1 left off. It is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and yo won’t drop the book until you are done. After having to leave Phoenix and David behind in a rush, Amanda finds herself in Pardon Falls on the hunt to find Josh and clear her name. Due to his involvement with Amanda, David had to leave Phoenix and get a new job with the Border Patrol. Josh is in hiding in a Mexican town working for a dangerous cartel. Will these three be able to survive their current situation and find a way to work together, even though they don’t trust one another? Amanda is determined and will go to any lengths to be able to clear her name, even if it means putting her self in harms way. This story is told in the POV of all three main characters: Amanda, David and Josh. This book surpasses book 1, in my opinion and I could not put it down until I was done. Kimberly Packard has written an amazing series and it just keeps getting better. I cant wait for book 3!
The first book was amazing and the 2nd doesn’t disappoint! Just like the first book, you get sucked in immediately and it won’t let you go until the very last page. It literally picks up right were book 1 ends so there is not filling the void.
This book has everything that keeps you on the edge of your seat like action, adventure, suspense, and twists you never saw coming. Amanda is an amazing heroine who is incredibly strong. She gets sucked into a situation and blamed for things that aren’t her fault. She’s on a mission to find her ex who has a lot of explaining to do. I don’t want to give anything away, but book 1 is a must one click! Book 2 was just as amazing!
Pardon Falls is an action packed thriller by Kimberly Packard and the second book in the Phoenix series (make sure to read book one first)! This story picks up where Phoenix left off and Amanda is set on hunting down Josh to turn him in and hopefully clear her name, but everything is more complicated then she could have imagined! This story is told in three POVs, Amanda, Josh and David, giving more insight to the characters and adding to the suspense! This book has so many twists, every time I thought I had it figured out I would be wrong and the I went back and forth between love and hate as each character added a piece to the puzzle. This book surpassed all my expectations and I can’t wait to read book 3 (cliffhanger warning)! This whole series has been a great read and I would highly recommend it!

I will start my review with a sincere (kind of) apology to this author…I might or might not have called her a name when I got done reading this book and I might or might not have swore out loud using words I’ve never used before… O.M.G. this book…a constant never ending twist and turn, full of action, and had my heart racing way more than once.
After finishing Phoenix I couldn’t wait to jump in to this one and it is Completely awesome..Do not even try to read this book without reading Book 1 first. The way she puts her words together form a perfect flowing story and even with a few characters POV’s throughout and many characters in play, I never got lost or confused.
I’m not going into any part of this story in this review…You have to experience it as I did and feel the emotions as they happen and even though this story starts a year after Phoenix, it felt like it picked right up where it left off, everything was explained flawlessly.
So now I go on a stalking mission to find out when Book 3 comes out…I promise it will be an immediate one-click..
Read these books!! Seriously amazing!!
Pardon Falls: Phoenix Book 2 by Kimberly Packard is a five star novel. This book gives you all the feels. I love a good story about revenge. Weave in a story about love and broken hearts and you will fall in love with this book as well. The first book is a must read in order to follow along with all the drama and twists and turns in the second book. When Amanda finds herself broken hearted because of her boyfriend and the unlawful things he did in Chicago, she finds herself fleeing her past and trying to get over it. When she realizes she can’t just let go and move on even though she has found love, she flees again to the Mexican border on a quest to find Josh. When she gets a little too close, she realizes how hard this trek is going to be and now finds herself questioning whether she did the right thing or not.
Kimberly Packard has hit this one out of the park, in my humble opinion. This story has everything you want in a story. Action, adventure, mystery, and incredible characters that you will bond with during the story make sure you read Phoenix first. This will help with some of the content in Pardon Falls. Amanda has really gone through some tough times. She is trying to find her ex so that her name can be cleared of all the charges against her. She teams up with David (first book) to located Josh the other ex. David is doing this to help make amends for all the mistakes that were made. Amanda needs to get the wrongs cleared up so she can move on. Will she be able to work with David to find Josh? You will have to read the story to find out.
Pardon Falls- Kimberly Packard
5-star review
Pardon Falls by Kimberly Packard is a must read! This is the second book in the Phoenix series, a series that’s suspenseful the whole way through. This storyline is dark, twisted, intense, unexpected and just as amazing as the first. I would strongly suggest reading this series in order as this book follows where the first book left off.
Pardon Falls is told in the three main characters POV’s which I absolutely loved! It felt like there was no part of the story missing as we got all of the different angles. Having the three POV’s also made it so easy to read as I got so swept up in the storyline sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to get answers to all of my questions. Though unfortunately for me I’ll have to wait to get all of the answers as this book ends in a cliffhanger that left me speechless!
I would absolutely recommend this book and series to anyone looking for their next read!

The story Pardon Falls (The Phoenix Series Book 2) by Kimberly Packard is a suspenseful thriller that kept me wondering what was going to happen next. It had me on the edge of my seat until the very last page. This story is told from the POV of Amanda, David, and Josh. After leaving the town of Phoenix and David behind, Amanda continues on her mission to find Josh and bring him to justice. Once Amanda left David finds himself having to find a new career. He is now employed by the border patrol. Josh finds himself hiding and working for a dangerous man. This story finds Amanda, David, and Josh in a situation in which they will need to work together. Can they put aside the past and their feelings toward each other in order to survive? I loved reading about the three main characters in this story. Amanda is a strong woman who is determined to find Josh and clear her name. She is still in love with David and has regret on her past actions. Josh is trying to remain alive in a situation that can turn deadly from one minute to the next. David has turned to alcohol in order to deal with his feelings. There are also many other characters that are introduced in this story. Some of them are helpful while others could only be called manipulative and evil. Will their evil plans succeed? Filled with twists and turns this is a wonderful next book in the series and one that I would highly recommend reading.

Rated 5 stars!
Wow! Holy holy smokes! This book is awe-some! I loved everything about it. I was completely entranced with the story and wanted to just read…read…read until I got to the end. The action and suspense in here blew my mind! The story is so so good! Rarely are second books in a series better than the first. This one just stomps that theory. Amanda, Josh and David all have reoccurring roles in here. The last book it was Amanda’s and David’s story with snippets of Josh. This one treated all three equally. Each has earned the distrust of the others but they need figure out how to work together to survive.
All of the characters in here are top notch. Some made me dislike them others made me hate them. Some I just felt sorry for. Such a wide range of emotions this story brought forth. Let’s not forget the betrayal, sadness and love. They were right up there as well.
I thought there was only two books in this series and I was sad at the end. For more reasons than one..but I turned the page and see another will be published!! Yay! I just have to wonder when??? How long do I have to wait?? So you hear my whiny voice?? I NEED to find out what happens next!!
On a side note..this could be read as a stand-alone but then you would miss a lot of stuff firsthand. So i would recommend reading Phoenix first then following with this one.
I also like how the titles are the names of the towns. Such a good Idea!
PS ..this would also make a great audio book!!
