From USA Today Bestselling author Kimberly Knight comes book six in her strong, sexy, and suspenseful Saddles & Racks series. The bad boy … Growing up, Nicholas Hawkins was always the life of the party, and that hasn’t changed. The only difference is that now he gets paid to do it—literally. He’s the last man standing, so to speak, from his group of friends of Saddles & Racks. He plans to … Saddles & Racks. He plans to be a male escort for as long as women still book dates with him, and he hopes that’s for many, many, many more years.
The nerd …
Ashleigh James got the brains when it came to her and her twin sister, Everleigh. Growing up, all the boys wanted to date the pretty sister, and that didn’t change when Ashleigh brought home her boyfriend during college. Everleigh wasted no time hooking up with Ashleigh’s beau, leaving the sisters estranged for several years until Ashleigh receives her sister’s wedding invitation. Turns out, Everleigh is marrying the man she stole—and in Fiji no less.
The ruse …
Not wanting to show up alone, Ashleigh’s best friend talks her into hiring a male escort to bring with her to paradise. A bad boy who is the complete opposite of her ex. Since Nick is the last to fall, his friends bet him that he’ll find love during the weeklong trip. Neither one expects anything to happen except nightly fun while pretending they’re dating. When the attraction between the two is undeniable, they both fight their desire toward each other because one can’t fall for someone they hired to date, and the other can’t lose a bet.
But the two might not have to worry about their feelings because Mother Nature has other plans that will leave everyone running, kidnapped, or …
Dead.

This series just seems to get better and better with each book! I have to say that I was in a reading funk and couldn’t get interested in anything. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down!! The story had so much going on from love to action to drama! I had to know what happened next. I think out of the entire series so far Nick & Ashleigh are my favorite couple. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend it.
Fantastic and lovely!
“You’ll meet a woman who you’ll start to care about, and then before you know it, you’ll never want to go a day without her.”
I absolutely loved this story about Nick and Ashleigh. Their story is emotional, intense, suspenseful, thrilling and so very entertaining. Plus there was a whole lot of very steamy moments between these two wonderful characters. Even though what brings them together is just work for Nick – the chemistry between them oozed off the pages and had me gushing with love.
This was the perfect story for Nick and Ashleigh. The plot was fantastic and kept me on the edge of my seat, and all the characters were amazing.
I loved every second of this story! Highly recommend.
Ashleigh’s twin sister is perfect. Why does she want everything Ashleigh has. Nick is the forever escort, not falling in love or settling down. But he could play the perfect boyfriend for a trip to Fiji. And so good to see all the Saddle and Racks guys again.
Wow! Loved it!!
Paradise & Vodka is the latest book in the Saddles & Racks series.. and it was fabulous!!!
Ashleigh resorts to hiring a male escort to her twin sister, Everleigh’s, wedding in Fiji to her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her with her sister.
She hires Nick, who is the absolute opposite of her scum bag ex, and nick works to prove to Ashleigh that she is very desirable.
The wedding and end of the trip happened around the half way mark of the book… so I started wondering what would happened next. And BAM… lol all hell breaks loose. They encounter a tsunami and are kidnapped…
But once they are saved and back home, they each realize separately that they want more. Nick had bet his friends that he wouldn’t succumb to being one of the “fallen” but will that stop him from keeping Ashleigh??
I absolutely adored this book! I’d definitely recommend not only this book but the series to anyone who loves a good romance.
I recieved an ARC for my honest review.
This is an incredible story! Ashleigh and her sister haven’t spoken to each other for years after she stole her boyfriend. Now sher sister is getting married in Fiji and she needs a date. She turns herself to the Saddles & Racks and hires Nick. Nick is a male escort who is not willing to change his lifestyle and have a white picket fence life. He is sweet, good looking, a charmer and the perfect balance to Ashleigh. She was disowned by her family and cast aside to leave the place to her sister. This book will leave you mesmerized by the intensity of the emotions that is being presented, betrayal, acceptance, family drama and danger. An amazing story that will captivate you from the start, I honestly volunteered to review this book.
Being betrayed by her sister and her boyfriend was painful enough but when Ashleigh’s family once again made her feel like she was in the wrong it only made the situation more difficult. As a result she distanced herself from her family but when she receives an invitation to their destination wedding she can’t get out of it and she can’t go alone.
Nick is a male escort who has been hired by Ashleigh to pretend to be her boyfriend. It was supposed to be a getaway that included sand, sun and a beautiful woman but what he wasn’t expecting are the feelings she inspires in him as he wants to protect her not only from the danger surrounding them but from her family as well.
This story finds the balance between intrigue and heat and not only do we get to see Ashleigh and Nick get the happy ever after they deserve but we also get to catch up with the other characters we know and love from this series.
Paradise and Vodka
Book 6 Saddles and Racks
Kimberly Knight
5 Stars
This book is her very best book to date and the very best of the series!! I absolutely loved it!! It is very addicting totally sucked me right in!! Very excellent story!
“Remember the time we shared in paradise and how everything was perfect. Until it wasn’t. Until we had to run from a wave and ended up kidnapped. Until I had a gun to my head, and the man pulled the trigger.”
Very highly recommend!!
Confession time: I haven’t read all the books in this series but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t fly through Paradise & Vodka. Fake relationship + amazing location + danger = yes please!!
I was with Ashleigh from chapter one. Ugh- the nerve of two people who were supposed to be on her side! Her already not great self confidence took a major blow but good for her for not taking it and building a life for herself that didn’t include that toxicity. The only problem was, her kindness wouldn’t let her say no to the invite to her sisters wedding. But she couldn’t show up alone. Enter Nick.
Oh my hot swooniness Nick!! I adored him. He was unapologetically himself. The not so bad, bad boy. I loved how he eased Ashleigh’s fears about what they would be facing down. How his charm and wit and charisma shone through. It was legit impossible not to like him. Especially with the way he handled business when things with sideways and then south.
Holy of the most unexpected twists! I didn’t see either of them coming- yes them! Cheers to Kimberly Knight for keeping me on my toes! Talk about a whirlwind. The final third of the book I was torn between the longing between Nick and Ashleigh and trying to unravel the mystery of what all went down in Fiji. Paradise & Vodka kept me fully engaged and entertained from start to finish. It was steamy, suspenseful and swoony. Now I can’t wait to go back and find out more about the rest of the Saddles & Racks crew!
Love Kimberly Knight’s books! You don’t want to miss this fabulous read!
So I’m already a huge fan of this author and I love her writing style. This book was no different! I love the humor, snarkiness and love she puts into a book. Nick is the bad boy, the one guy that all the girls want. He’s the life of the party and the one who will never settle down. Enter Ashleigh.. she caught her sister and boyfriend in an interesting position and is now invited to the wedding. Talk about awkward, right? She needs someone who is the opposite in every way, someone to make them jealous. Nick is the perfect one. A week in paradise is exactly what they need but things have way of changing them and the situation at hand. What Ashleigh thought was a betrayal goes way further then she actually thought. Douglas her ex is a piece of work and gets everything that was given to him. He is a snake. I loved the banter between Ashleigh and Nick especially during the time that Nick was trying out nicknames with her. Despite how they started out, I loved how they worked together especially in the face of danger. These two were super cute together and it was so hilarious when he fell and the guys gave him crap over it. Very fun book to read!!
Out of all the books in this series, this one is my favorite – and it was a great way to end this great series.
First off, I was swooning over Nick from the second he hit the page. Bad boy, incredibly attractive, a tad bit cocky, a rock star in and out of bed…he seriously checked all the boxes for me. He also made me laugh, because he was so against joining The Fallen, and I knew that mentality would lead to his demise.
Then there’s Ashleigh – a girl after my own heart. She’s smart, she’s talented, she’s beautiful, but constantly overshadowed by all sorts of things. I hated that she got the short end of the stick for part of the book, but by the end, I felt like fate had intervened and given her the happily ever after she deserved – and more.
I knew this book wouldn’t be totally drama-free – if you’ve read this series, you know what I’m talking about – but the things that Nick and Ashleigh went through in this book were seriously unexpected. You definitely need to read it to see what happens, but man. I was on the edge of my seat there for awhile. I loved the twists this book provided, because they kept me on my toes.
I wasn’t ready for this book to end. I wasn’t ready for this series to end. But, per usual, Knight gave us a story that packed a punch to the gut and a punch to the heart. What a fitting ending for a fantastic series.
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book. I loved every moment of it.
First off this definitely has spoilers so go read the others first. You will not be disappointed. Next this should be able to be given 6 stars as it’s that good.
The characters are well thought out and very realistic for fictional characters
I loved seeing previous characters and just love this series and book so much
Another 5-star read from Kimberly! This series is so good!
Paradise & Vodka is by far my favorite of the Saddles & Racks series. Kimberly Knight blew me away with the twists and turns of this story. The romance is beautifully paced and the bad boy falling in love is her sweet spot.
Another do not miss by Kimberly Knight!
I really enjoyed Nick and Ashleigh’s story. Nick is an escort for Saddles and Racks. Most of his friends, AKA The Fallen, have settled down with wives and children. He doesn’t see himself ever falling in love. He loves his life. Ashleigh has never gotten over the betrayal of finding her twin sleeping with her boyfriend. When she’s sent an invitation to their wedding she decides to hire an escort to attend with her. Nick and Ashleigh had amazing chemistry. Nick was a sweetheart and very attentive to Ashleigh. Ashleigh was way too forgiving of her family in my opinion. Loved this book!
I devoured Nick and Ashleigh’s story. I felt so bad that Ashleigh had to go through crap to start with, but I think that it also helped her be who she was. She hired Nick to be her “guest” to her sister’s wedding, and what ended up as a “job” turned into so much more for both of them. I loved that he helped her and her family see things in a different way. Appearances aren’t always what they seem after all. What someone sees as happiness may not be, and a beautiful destination wedding may end up being the start of a misadventure. It kept me on my toes and I wondered what was going to happen next. Everyone gets either the HEA or just desserts that they deserve..
I think this may be my favorite one of the series so far. From the very beginning, Kimberly grabs your attention and doesn’t let it go. Nick and Ashleigh are nothing alike but just seem to fit perfectly together. Seems to be a match made in heaven. Too bad he’s an escort that never wants to settle down. Paradise is their date and they share a love for vodka. Will Nick finally join the Fallen club?
Nick is the last of his male friends to be single and he plans on escorting as long as the ladies want him. Ashleigh is the nerdy twin sister, while Everly is the beautiful bubbly one that guys always want to date. Everly is marrying the guy she stole from Ashleigh in Fiji. Ashleigh is talked into hiring an escort to take to the wedding that turns out to be Nick. The two will be put through a natural disaster and Nick will have to decide if he wants to keep Ashleigh in his life. Ashleigh will have to decide if she wants Nick in her life. A really great read that I recommend.
Nick and Ashleigh are perfect for each other. Ashleigh has a twin that gets everything and everyone she wants, she is in beauty pageants all the time. She is her parents favorite. Ashleigh is smart and caring. When Ashleigh’s twin steals her boyfriend they don’t speak for years. Until Ashleigh is invited to the wedding, in Fiji. To keep from going alone Ashleigh hires a male escort to act as her boyfriend. That was Nick. Neither Nick or Ashleigh planned on falling in love while in paradise. As they went through the wedding then a horrific storm and being kidnapped. They fell in love with each other. Grab your copy to find out more.
