From USA Today Bestselling author Kimberly Knight comes book six in her strong, sexy, and suspenseful Saddles & Racks series. The bad boy … Growing up, Nicholas Hawkins was always the life of the party, and that hasn’t changed. The only difference is that now he gets paid to do it—literally. He’s the last man standing, so to speak, from his group of friends of Saddles & Racks. He plans to … Saddles & Racks. He plans to be a male escort for as long as women still book dates with him, and he hopes that’s for many, many, many more years.
The nerd …
Ashleigh James got the brains when it came to her and her twin sister, Everleigh. Growing up, all the boys wanted to date the pretty sister, and that didn’t change when Ashleigh brought home her boyfriend during college. Everleigh wasted no time hooking up with Ashleigh’s beau, leaving the sisters estranged for several years until Ashleigh receives her sister’s wedding invitation. Turns out, Everleigh is marrying the man she stole—and in Fiji no less.
The ruse …
Not wanting to show up alone, Ashleigh’s best friend talks her into hiring a male escort to bring with her to paradise. A bad boy who is the complete opposite of her ex. Since Nick is the last to fall, his friends bet him that he’ll find love during the weeklong trip. Neither one expects anything to happen except nightly fun while pretending they’re dating. When the attraction between the two is undeniable, they both fight their desire toward each other because one can’t fall for someone they hired to date, and the other can’t lose a bet.
But the two might not have to worry about their feelings because Mother Nature has other plans that will leave everyone running, kidnapped, or …
Dead.

Another great book by Kimberly Knight!
I have loved the whole Saddles and Racks series and while they can be read as stand alones it’s better to read them all. I think Nick and Ashleigh have become my favourite. After all who doesn’t love to see a bad boy and a nerd get their happy ever after?
What a intense bad boy read. This story pulls you right in.
4.5 Cranky Stars
Alright ok I thought I was getting one kind of book until the halfway point and things went another direction. In my defense I haven’t read the others before this, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought it was going to be a typical fake date but with an escort and it turned into so much more. I love when the forever bachelor falls, and the nerdy girl sees herself as a beauty. Paradise and Vodka was just that and I can’t wait to read about the couples before Nick and Ashleigh.
Ashleigh thought things were going great and she even took her fancy schmancy Manhattan boyfriend to meet her small-town Alabama parents until things went really wrong. Fast forward a few years and Ashleigh needs a wedding date to Fiji. Her friend suggest an escort and she thinks this idea is ludacris. She finally realizes she won’t find a date in time and hires Nick. Nick is the tatted up bad boy or so he appears. He is good at his job and commits to giving his clients the full experience. He wasn’t expecting Ashleigh, but her smile and her banging body knocked him off his feet. He refuses to be like the others before him who have fallen in love but under the Fijian moonlight, he starts to see her in differently. When the ending of their tropical week comes to an end something neither of them expect happens and I’m not talking about falling in love.
I was kind of on the fence with this book until about fifty percent. I thought maybe it was a naughty romantic comedy and it was ok for me but then the second half had me hooked. Don’t get me wrong Nick has a dirty mouth because well it’s just who he is but under all that he’s a genuine guy. Ashleigh was hard on herself, but I guess we all would if our twin was a beauty pageant queen. She was a normal girl and I liked that about her. I’m off to catch up with the other couples in this series. While it can be read as a standalone you will get spoilers of past couples but not like it will ruin their books spoilers. Enjoy!!
Holy smokes, each story in this series gets better and better! I do believe this one was my favorite!!
This story is about Nicholas and Ashleigh. Nick is a paid escort and Ashleigh needs needs one for her sister’s wedding. She hires Nick to escort her to the wedding. They hit it off, but Nick isn’t into relationships, he’s all about the fun. He won’t make the mistake that the rest of his group (Saddles & Racks), they have all fallen off the party bus. Best laid plans and all that, but he’s met his match with Ashleigh.
What an amazing story! I love the idea of a male escort story instead of reading a female one! I couldn’t put it down! Thank goodness I don’t require alot of sleep! Kimberly Knight always writes the most amazingly hot stories!!
Another great addition to the amazing Saddles and Racks series. The story was sexy, swoony, full of suspense and extremely addictive. The author created beautiful and lovable characters, with explosive chemistry. My heart hurt for Ashleigh and what happened to her years ago, but seeing how Nick supported her filled me with deep feels.
The other Saddles and Racks characters make appearances throughout this story, and once again we get to witness the bond between this group of friends which is extremely heart-warming.
This book is a must read, as well as the other books in their series.
This series just keeps getting better and better! Nick and Ashleigh might be my favorite couple so far. Their connection is amazing and I love how Nick supports her with a rather unpleasant situation. I wasn’t expecting a terrifying situation but it kept me pulled in because I had to know how it would all play out. Please tell me there will be more to this series!
Paradise & Vodka is book 6 in the Saddles & Racks series
by Kimberly Knight. I have LOVED every book in this series! A definite must read series.
I am a HUGE fan of Mrs Knight. And boy did I absolutely LOVE Nick. The guy who swears he’ll never settle down, oh boy!!
Ashleigh I ADORED her character. After catching her boyfriend with her sister she still wants to be the bigger person and go to their wedding. But she needs a date. That’s where Nick comes in.
A week in paradise for these 2 what could happen?? They are instantly attracted to one another and their chemistry is intense!! I loved their banter as well. This story definitely is everything I’ve come to love in this series!! And I couldn’t put it down!
I love this series but I must say Paradise and Vodka has to be at the top of my favourite list. Ash and Nick are great for each other, they both have suffered heartache and find it difficult to trust. Ashleigh is inteligente and gorgeous but has has a lot of self doubt, she’s always felt second best to her twin sister. Nick is cocky, arrogant and quite a ladies man, he’s having the time of his life. Ash hires Nick to play her boyfriend at her sisters wedding and here is where the fun begins. This too are great together but their journey is by no means and easy one.
This series is addictive. You can not go wrong with reading it! These men will capture your heart. This book is about Ashleigh and Nick. Their journey is fun, enticing, steamy, intense and more. They pull you in and do not let go till you have read the last word. A must have book! Check it out! You will be glad you did!
When Ashleigh needs a date to her sister’s wedding in Fiji, the sister with whom her ex cheated on her, her friend convinces her to hire an escort from Saddles & Racks. Luckily for both of them, Nick is the one chosen, thereby changing both their lives.
Nick is a commitment-phobe playboy who doesn’t believe in love, doesn’t believe he’ll ever fall in love. A little bet with his friends helps bolster this belief, and off he goes to Fiji to enjoy a week of no strings attached, paid for, sun, sand, and sex. Except it doesn’t quite go exactly like that because he did not expect Ashleigh. Did not expect Ashleigh to bring him to his knees. And he didn’t expect the crazy people intent harming him and Ashleigh.
Talk about fast-paced and suspenseful! And freakin hot too. I always love it when the least likely woman, the least trying to, brings a player to his knees, and Nick falls in fine fashion, fighting his feelings the whole way. I like how much of a hard time his friends gave him, and I love how sweet and amazing Ashleigh is. She’s perfect for this player and their story is fun and exciting. I cannot wait for more of the Saddles & Racks men and the women they fall for.
I could do with more stars. I literally read this story start to finish without stopping for a single thing. I was hooked. The twists in this story were unexpected but oh so good. I absolutely loved it and think that everyone should read it.
Favorite book of the series. You should start reading this series if you haven’t yet. Love all of Kimberly Knight books.
Love a good “fake relationship” story!! This is a powerful tale of two people finding acquiescence within themselves and with one another. This is book 6 in the series of Saddles & Racks. Although this was a delightful story, but it also had action, suspense, and kidnapping; but it was also entertaining, engaging, had moments of heartbreak, and emotional angst.
Ashleigh James and her twin sister Everleigh were always complete opposites. Ashleigh had the brains and her sister had the beauty. Ashleigh always felt inferior to her sister, and she envied her because she was always able to get any boy she wanted in high school. When Ashleigh brought her rich boyfriend home for Christmas, her sister happened to take her boyfriend away from her. Ashleigh was infuriated, thus, causing she and Everleigh to become estranged for several years. Then out of the blue, Ashleigh receives an invitation to attend Everleigh’s wedding. Guess who she is getting married to—Ashleigh’s ex-rich boyfriend!! Ashleigh’s life has been turned upside down. Between breaking up with her cheating ex-boyfriend, moving away from home, being estranged with her sister, and then finding out her sister is marrying her ex, Ashleigh is desperate to get a date to the wedding. But Ashleigh has horrible luck with men. To prove to her sister and her ex that she has moved on, now she needs to find a date! So what’s a girl to do? Hire a fake boyfriend that’s what! Nicholas (Nick) Hawkins wasn’t just any escort—he was from Saddles & Racks, the best male escort service available. Nick is handsome and a bad boy with tattoos—complete opposite from her ex. When Nick meets Ashleigh, he is enamored with her. One encounter is not enough—the heart wants what the heart wants, and without giving away any spoilers, emotions get very complicated. The chemistry between Nick and Ashleigh grows more potent the more times they spend together! There are so many intense elements to this story that you cannot highlight on just one. Wait until you read what happens and why two people were kidnapped and held for ransom—you will be flabbergasted and appalled. Kimberly Knight manages to weave plot lines centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main characters. The storyline is fluid, and the characters are extremely well developed. You won’t regret reading Paradise & Vodka!
Everything I love in a good romance!
“Paradise & Vodka” is Nick and Ashleigh’s absolutely wonderful tale. A whirlwind of events and sparks fly as drama, intrigue, and sexual tension spirals, jolting this gem to a whole new level. The character development is perfect for this tale. You can’t help but fall in love with them as you follow along on their journey to their HEA.

Paradise and Vodka is the latest in the 6 book series, entitled Saddles and Racks. For those who don’t know, Saddles and Racks is the name of an Escort Service located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has been enjoyable watching the men who work at Saddle and Racks fall in love. These books are action-packed and more than a little angsty.
In this final installment, Nick, the escort who deliberately chose this job and made it a career has gotten the assignment of his dreams: a full week as a plus one at a wedding in Fiji.
His employer, Ashleigh is an accomplished woman who has to attend her estranged sister’s wedding. She is determined to make the most of the time she has to spend at this wedding and Nick is the key.
When sparks immediately fly between Nick and Ashleigh, a true adventure begins. The story takes some unexpected turns on their island in paradise. They definitely get more that they bargained for in life and love.
Paradise and Vodka is a great book to back in your bag on your next beach trip. It is meant for consumption while laying in the sun and sipping a cocktail.
Paradise & Vodka was a super cute and quick read. It held my attention throughout the story. Nick and Ashleigh seemed like the perfect couple to get together. What started out as a typical job for Nick, proved anything but. Nick, the forever bachelor, never had any plans to fall for the beautiful, sweet Ashleigh. Nor did he ever expect to experience a terrifying situation. I love seeing all the Saddles & Racks families grow in each book.
I absolutely devoured this book!! I mean, I generally do when it comes to Kimberly Knight’s books, especially S&R, but I really did this one. I couldn’t put it down. It was sexy, suspenseful, and absolutely wonderful all around. I don’t give out 5 Stars very often or very easily but this one was an easy 5-star for me without a second thought. <3
I love the Saddle and Racks series. This is the the only series, that I know of, that has males as the escorts instead of women. The women they end up with are characters I can identify with. I will confess that Paradise and Vodka is my favorite.
Nick was adamant that he would not fall in love. He loved his life of casual sex, fun times and making great money. He had enjoyed watching his bodies fall, but he would not join them. Nick was is not a vet so I assumed he would not get in to trouble like his friends. Boy, was I wrong!!!!!
Ashleigh lives in Vegas avoiding her family. Who could blame her after walking in on her twin having sex with her boyfriend, the one she had brought home to meet the family. Family dynamics add a lot to this story. Now Ashleigh is being shamed into going to her sister and ex-boyfriend’s wedding in Fiji. She just needs a plus one.
Nick is perfect solution. He is the ultimate “bad Boy” to play as her boyfriend. A week in Fiji to have fun in the sun could only be a good thing. Nick is excited to go on a paid vacation. It didn’t hurt that he really liked his client, Ashleigh. What could go wrong?
I didn’t see it coming. The author blew me away with what she had them dealing with. And when I thought they were safe– Hello!!!! Boy was I wrong. Hold on to your hat!! This is going to be a crazy ride of survival, conspiracy, rescues, confronting shocking truths and resistance.
But resistance is futile. Nick can try but he will fail.
I really like Nick and Ashleigh together. Ashleigh comes from heartbreak and betrayal and Nick is just living his best life at S&R and loving every minute of it. Ashleigh hires Nick to be her date to her twin sister’s wedding in Fiji. The attraction between Ashleigh and Nick is definitely real which makes him playing her boyfriend an easy job. While Ashleigh deals her past Nick is great at distracting her and making her feel loved, even though she knows it’s not real. Or is it? A natural disaster hits the beautiful island causing chaos and in the middle of all that, Ashleigh and Nick are faced with extreme danger. When they are rescued and are back on US soil, Nick has to come to terms with his feelings for Ashleigh before it’s too late.
