A good read with lots of twists and suspense
I love books about the Amish. This was a really good mystery.
We are all human, no matter what faith we practice. Very informative about another culture. Great!!!
Although I gave this 5 stars, it is mainly because in its own genre it is one of my favorites, and I’d likely re-read it, some time in the future. It doesn’t have the depth that would mean I’d place it in my own All Time Favorites, which take me days to read and make me anxious to have more books to follow with. But the characters are well explored, the mystery is riveting, and learning about the Amish life style is interesting.
Well written, giving an insight into a culture unfamiliar to many. Left me curious to read more adventures of these characters.
Good book with intriguing characters who held my interest.
Love the characters in this book that allows us an unusual look into the Amish world.
Kept my attention all the way through
I love books about Amish communities and this book does a great job and also is quite suspenseful. I didn’t know who did it till the great reveal. Great read and very fast.
A unique who dunnit in a different sort of community. Reminiscent of Mary Higgins Clark in that the heroine is in peril before the killer is caught.
Good read.
Keeps you guessing until the end.
Excellent well rounded characters. A solid plot line.
Interesting setting in the Amish community. Good characters.
Like it very much. Will recommend it to all my friends
Kept my interest through the surprise ending.
I like this author and I have read a few of her other books. This was touted as the best one yet. I wouldn’t agree,
It was okay at best. The reason I say that is because it wasn’t a page-turner. The friend of the sheriff falls in love with her landlord in a matter of days. A bit too “romancy” for me. I also counted how many times this author said someone licked their lips and it was around 30 times! It got a bit old.
The story was mostly decent and I didn’t stop reading it as I have done with other books, I would recommend it if you are looking for a murder mystery with some romance.
Page turner
Too many characters to keep straight.
I think this would have been a good story but too much gruesomeness for me at the moment. I never finished it.
