A new dark romance by USA Today Best seller Zoe Blake.
She was his. His Property. His Possession…His.
Trapped in a world of dark decadence, the innocent Corinne is now bound to obey her new husband’s every depraved desire. She is his little doll, to be played with and punished as he pleases. Every night she is brought to his chamber after being dressed by her nanny at his command. Each night … nanny at his command. Each night is different. Will she be a baby doll? A kitten? Something more sinful?
She is his little captured bird. Will she fly away and escape or learn to love her gilded cage?
Warning. This is a dark daddy dom historical romance. There are no cuddles or caresses in this hero’s castle. If the heroine’s cry in the night will shock and disturb you, then please do not purchase this book.

I’m not usually a fan of baby-play or pet-play scenes. The book itself wasn’t real lengthy, so I finished it quickly, and that may have helped me to get past some of the scenes I didn’t really care for. Daily “cleansings?” Uh, no. But I did enjoy the way “Papa” originally found the heroine, first seeing her on the moors, then waiting for her for 2 yrs. while she became more mature, protected in the convent. Then he took her away to his estate on the windswept coast of southwest England. She was the most innocent and naive female character I’ve ever read, she knew nothing of the outside world. He WAS a supreme alphahole, no doubt. But his character was still darkly attractive and hot! Even though he was harsh and high-handed with her, he didn’t harm her. By the end of the book, he became very likable to me. 4-stars.
Corinne had lived in the one hundred year old Welsh Abbey for thirteen years, ever since her family had taken their sudden death along with others in the village where they lived. Shortly after she turned seventeen and was to be apprenticed as a seamstress, a male benefactor came stating he would continue to pay for Corinne’s education and upkeep until such time as he came to claim her and make her his bride. Now, past eighteen, Lord Lucian Talon, Duke of Ebonhurst arrived during the night with the Cardinal to claim her. Like his father and his father’s father before him, Lucian Talon was a man who took what he wanted without explanation or regret. The adventure Zoe Blake takes us on in this story will definitely keep your heart thumping and perhaps give a tingle or two. I know it did for me.
Quick and oh so dirty. Papa demands submission of Corinne. He is commanding, intimidating and enjoying every aspect of his little doll.
YOU ARE A TREASURE, MY DOLL
Once again, Ms. Zoe Blake has spun a tale that is dark, delicious, depraved, and daring. Having read every single book she has written, she did not fail to deliver with Papa’s Prey. The sheltered innocence and naïveté of Corrine are offset with the dark dominance and depraved proclivities of Lord Lucian.
I will strongly advise that if you have issues with non-consent, forced submission, age-play, controlled domination, and unequal power exchange, that you may want to forego this book. If you have read other stories by this author and enjoyed them, you will enjoy the ride. Because Corrine will be “bound to obey his every depraved desire.”
Corrine loses both parents to an epidemic and is placed in an Abby orphanage. When she was seventeen and about to be turned out and placed in a seamstress position, things change, and she will remain at the Abby under the care of the nuns. What she doesn’t know is that she has a benefactor who has paid for her care and will return for her someday.
Lord Lucian Talon saw the young, carefree Corrine along the moors, and when he inquired about her, he made arrangements for her care but demanded she no longer is allowed to run free. Now he has returned to the Abby to claim her as his, and she will be married without a say. She meets him at the altar, a dark foreboding man, to learn she is to be married to him. “His left (hand) bore the heavy signet ring. At this very moment, she felt like the flower, being crushed in the talons of the mighty Lord Talon.”
“You will remain my perfect little doll. An enjoyable plaything made solely for my pleasure. I shall keep you as a child, entirely dependent on me. Every piece of fabric that caresses your body. Every morsel of food which crosses your lips. The very air you breathe. You will owe everything to me, and you will repay me with complete obedience. I will see to it that your every waking thought is in giving pleasure to me.”
Corrine will be placed in a nursery under the care of her Nanny and instructed that she will address him as Papa. “Would the man she was to call Papa be the monster or the hero?” “Everything about him screamed power, aggression, and dominance. There was no hint of a gentleman.”
The story is one of forced dominance and control. There is no free-will, Corrine will become his to own, possess and control. “Like a shadow swallowing sunlight, something dark and primal rose in his breast. A need. A need to own. To corrupt. To defile. A fascination to turn such a delicate vessel of virtue into a submissive devotee of vice.” “Soon, little one, you will learn I can do whatever I please, especially to your body. My possession. My trophy.” “You can plead all you want, but your body aches for the pain. Craves it.”
The story is not a sweet romance; it is full of angst, confusion, passion, control, power, domination, submission, awakening, sadomasochism, pain, and pleasure. It involves ageplay,medical-play, pet-play, forced sexual acts of oral, vaginal and anal. It includes harsh punishments, the use of implements and sexual paraphilia.
Corrine will learn that from his control and inflicted pain; she can also find release and pleasure. “An aroused awareness. Of him. Of his touch. Of the pain. Of her body’s response.” “He was becoming a religion to her. A religion that demanded sacrifice and pain but promised a pleasurable reward. Her heathen god. Her master. Her Papa.”
Crazy, sexy good read
OH MY GOD. I didn’t know what to expect reading papas prey but I was blown away. I first I felt like Corinne unsure and untrusting but by the last page I wanted more! It was dark and dirty and I feel embarrassed that I liked it. The author did a fabulous job of describing everything so it felt like I was really there. The characters had so much personality and real character. This book may not be for everyone but I highly recommend it to those who want a dark, dirty and daring book that will hold you captive until the very end!
Historical/Dark/BDSM with Age Play. A virgin who has been raised in a convent then sold to a man who is to become her master/papa/husband. Husband who is a Dominant/Sadist with need to make his young wife constantly question but never understand anything even as she comes to love him and him falling in love with her as well but not realizing it until he almost loses her to poisson before he realizes it. Such an amazing book with a hint of darkness and non-con.
A new book by Zoe Blake. It is not a book for everyone. It is a bit darker then her other books and it also features age play. If you enjoy reading about those themes then this is the book for you.
Zoe has a wonderful style of writing. There are beautiful descriptions and details, but the story still flows really well. There is an intense, dark and a bit eerie undertone in this book as we follow the story of Corinne and Lucian. Sweet and innocent Corinne gets taken to place she never knew existed. Lucian is a hunter who loves to hunt his prey, but he experiences feelings he has never felt before. It is a beautiful story which will stir up a lot of emotions and feelings.
Zoe Blake has provided an intense, emotionally dark book. There are triggers in this book for some people, so beware when reading. The book is extremely well written, maintains its continuity, and keeps you constantly turning pages.
It is a historical story about an orphan from a Convent, Corinne, that is forcefully married to a Lord, Lucian. Corinne is a young, shy and innocent girl., While Lucian is a dominant, forceful and arrogant Lord that wants a young woman to obey his every demand.
Age play with domestic discipline is an area that I had not considered reading before, but it definitely will be added to my list of sub-genres. This story contains a couple of areas that took me well out of my comfort zone, however, I could not stop turning the pages. I had to find out what happened next. Although it is classified as a romance, Corinne and Lucian do not fall in love in the book. They do develop deep feelings of sentiment for each other. Does this mean a sequel?
